Stellar Transformation-Chapter 64 - 18 Qinglian Mountain Range (Part 1)
Qin De and his group of fifteen rode flying mounts, speeding towards the east high in the sky.
"In the end, I still came with Father. The development of this matter is truly astonishing. Back then, when I forcefully sought what I could not obtain, who would have thought that the identity of the assassin ’Liu Xing’ would grant my wish? This unexpected endeavor has indeed borne fruit," Qin Yu, watching the silhouette of his father riding the Flying White Tiger ahead, couldn’t help but let a smile creep onto his lips.
Qin Yu did not know where this Tribulation Crossing was to take place exactly; his current role was merely that of a bodyguard.
After flying for almost three days and nights, and taking breaks to replenish their food, the group finally arrived at their first destination—the small city at the border of the Primordial Wilderness: ’Qingshi City’.
"Descend!"
At Qin De’s command from the front, they dove downwards. The small flying mount squadron closely followed, diving straight towards a spot on the east side of Qingshi City. Meanwhile, Qin Yu could feel that Little Black, too, was among the ranks, thousands of meters up in the sky.
Since the age of seven, when Qin Yu had Little Black, the fledgling eagle, by his side, it had been nearly twelve years. Nearly twelve years during which the man and eagle were hardly ever apart, they even developed a profound psychic connection, which was simply indescribable by words.
"Mr. Ying, should we stay here for the night, or?" the Blue-clothed Elder addressed Qin De.
The Blue-clothed Elder’s five assassins from Heavenly Net knew only loyalty to the Leader of Heavenly Net, but even they did not know that the Leader was part of the Qin Family. To prevent any accidents this time, Qin De had the Blue-clothed Elder and Ge Min call him Mr. Ying.
"We’ll stay for the night. From tomorrow on, everyone will need to continue on foot into the Primordial Wilderness. So, let’s all rest well tonight," Qin De said with a smile, before turning to Ge Min, "Elder Ge, make arrangements for everyone’s food and lodging." 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
Ge Min immediately responded respectfully, "Yes, Mr. Ying."
That evening, everyone had a meal in the rather spacious residence and then most began to rest and sleep, for the next day they would enter the Primordial Wilderness. Neither the people from the Heavenly Net nor the Dark Arrow had any complaints about going into such a dangerous place.
They wouldn’t have feared death, for the belief instilled in them during training was already deeply rooted. However, this time, following the group was an outsider, an assassin who had reached the Great Perfection of the Innate stage named ’Liu Xing’.
The moon was bright, and a pallid full moon hung in a corner of the sky; Qin Yu did not sleep but instead looked up at the silver moon from the courtyard.
"Primordial Wilderness, I never thought that Father’s Tribulation Crossing location would be arranged in the Primordial Wilderness," Qin Yu inwardly sighed, "The deeper into the Primordial Wilderness, the more powerful the demon beasts we will encounter. However, I believe Father would not choose a Tribulation Crossing site too deep within."
Suddenly Qin Yu frowned, stopping his rambling thoughts because someone was approaching.
"Mr. Liu Xing, you don’t sleep at this late hour, could it be that something troubles you?" Qin De approached with a kind smile.
Another voice followed, "Mr. Ying, after all, there are demon beasts in the Primordial Wilderness, and although we won’t be venturing too deep inside this time, should we encounter any demon beasts, it will still be quite dangerous. Mr. Liu Xing might also be aware of the danger of this journey," Feng Yuzi also stepped forward.
Qin De said nonchalantly, "Mr. Liu Xing, if you find it too dangerous, you can, of course, give up on this mission. We will neither blame nor mock you, for the Primordial Wilderness is indeed a perilous place."
Qin De had not disclosed to Qin Yu the exact location he had decided upon. The Qinglian Mountain Range was merely at the border of the Primordial Wilderness. The deeper one went into the Primordial Wilderness, the more dangerous it became. Even if there were fierce beasts within the enormous mountain range of the Qinglian Mountain Range at the border, with the strength of Qin De’s side, they could easily confront them.
"Give up? Of course not. I’m just wondering whether we’ll encounter demon beasts on this trip into the Primordial Wilderness. Some demon beasts are on the same level as Innate Experts, some are like Upper Immortals, and some are even more formidable than Upper Immortals. If I encounter a demon beast that’s close to the level of an Upper Immortal and engage in a life-or-death battle with it, in the end, will it be me who lives or the demon beast!" Qin Yu said calmly.
"Gentlemen, I will take my leave to rest first," Qin Yu said as he clasped his hands together.
"Mr. Liu Xing, please go rest. We won’t disturb Mr. Liu Xing any longer," Qin De and Feng Yuzi also motioned to Qin Yu, and then Qin Yu directly returned to his room, leaving only Qin De and Feng Yuzi in the courtyard.
With a casual wave of his hand, Feng Yuzi set up a simple Restriction, isolating their voices.
"Brother Feng, what do you think of Mr. Liu Xing? I sensed Yu’er’s presence in him," Qin De said with a slight frown.
Having reached the level of strength that Qin De now possessed, he had gradually developed a sense akin to Spiritual Sense. Simply relying on "Shape-shifting" to deceive people like Qin De was impossible. After all, most Innate Experts had the strength to perform "Shape-shifting," and besides, Feng Yuzi, a Cultivator with even stronger Spiritual Sense, was by Qin De’s side.
Feng Yuzi slightly furrowed his brows and said, "When I used my Spiritual Sense to examine Mr. Liu Xing, I found that his aura was very similar to Little Yu’s, to the point where I thought it was Little Yu. However, I later discovered that within Mr. Liu Xing, there was an extremely unique Innate True Qi that possesses a terrifying tearing nature. Little Yu is an Innate External Power Expert without Inner Strength. But Mr. Liu Xing has Innate True Qi, so it should not be the same person."
Qin De also nodded and said, "I have also sensed carefully, and Mr. Liu Xing’s aura is more substantial and differs somewhat from Little Yu’s."
The aura of a person is determined by the spirit. The mysterious ’Meteor Tear’ had fused into Qin Yu’s body. Unbeknownst to Qin Yu, some faint energy from the Meteor Tear had merged with his spirit, subtly strengthening Qin Yu’s spirit over time. Half a year was enough to bring about significant changes in Qin Yu.
This was why, after being separated from Qin Yu for half a year and meeting again, they were not one hundred percent certain that Mr. Liu Xing was Qin Yu. Moreover, Qin Yu had told them that an Innate External Power Expert utilized physical strength, yet Mr. Liu Xing possessed Innate True Qi.
What Qin De did not know was that the purple Innate True Qi was also the result of Qin Yu’s cultivation of the third piece of the "Tongtian Map."
"However... my intuition tells me that Mr. Liu Xing is trustworthy," Qin De said with a slight smile, looking up at the bright moon in the night sky. At that moment, he thought of his third son who had left home, "Yu’er, your father owes you much, yet I do not know if I will have the chance to see you again."
Even with thorough preparation, Qin De was not a hundred percent confident of facing the Four-nine Heavenly Tribulations.
When the next morning dawned, the group of fifteen set out lightly on their way, entering the Primordial Wilderness on foot. Among them, the weakest were at the Late Innate Stage; one after another, they performed Qinggong, traveling along the trails, climbing mountains, and crossing waters.
Throughout their journey, Qin De often chatted with Qin Yu, as if he had taken a liking to the mysterious ’Mr. Liu Xing.’ After three days of twists and turns, they entered the boundary of the Primordial Wilderness; yet the Primordial Wilderness was boundless, its area much larger than that of several other countries combined.
Once inside the Primordial Wilderness, Qin De and his group followed the map, taking some safe paths to hasten their travel. Every demon beast within the Primordial Wilderness had its own territory, and the map Qin De held was a route between gaps in the territories of these demon beasts.
Of course, with the strength of Qin De and the others, they were not afraid of the demon beasts on the outskirts of the Primordial Wilderness, but they also did not want to waste their strength unnecessarily.
Following this intricate route, after more than five days of travel, they finally reached their destination—the Qinglian Mountain Range, a vast mountain range stretching for hundreds of miles. Of course, a mountain range of a few hundred miles was not considered much within the Primordial Wilderness.
