Chapter 53: Chapter 7: Accompanying Burial (Part 2)

Qin Yu’s eyes were ice-cold and brimming with killing intent as he stared at the three men in front of him.

The death of Lian Yan filled Qin Yu’s heart with rage and unwillingness. And now, the three men before him had obviously become the outlet for Qin Yu’s vengeance. Moreover, these three men were associated with Yi Qingyu, the one who had killed his Grandpa Lian.

"Pff, just a little brat. The dwarf was careless just now, don’t let him scare you." Yi Feng suddenly jerked his head and then, like a venomous snake, stared fixedly at Qin Yu, "Skinny, Ugly, let’s all go together and kill this kid."

Upon hearing Yi Feng’s command, his two subordinates immediately nodded. They too, were shocked by Qin Yu’s move that had just killed one of their companions, and only by joining forces did they have enough courage. Yi Feng and his men all stared at Qin Yu, their Innate True Qi beginning to boil within them.

The aura of the three men radiated out, completely enveloping Qin Yu, who now seemed like a turtle trapped in a jar.

"Bang!" "Bang!"

The Xuantie Arm Guards and Xuantie Leg Guards were removed and casually thrown aside, landing on the courtyard’s green stone and making a heavy thudding noise, which caused Yi Feng and his men to immediately change their expression—Qin Yu was so fast even when weighed down.

"Grandpa Lian, please wait. After Little Yu kills them, I will take you back," Qin Yu whispered quietly.

In Qin Yu’s mind, memories of growing up with Lian Yan uncontrollably surfaced. As a young child, Qin Yu was always by Lian Yan’s side, asking Lian Yan to help tell him stories, falling asleep again and again to Lian Yan’s tales.

"Once there was a scholar who studied hard for ten years in the cold window..."

Every story Lian Yan told began with ’Once there was a...’, and with closed eyes, Qin Yu could recall the warmth of Lian Yan telling stories by his bedside until he fell asleep. Those times were so heartwarming, yet from now on, he would never see his kind Grandpa Lian again.

Qin Yu’s eyes couldn’t help but become slightly moist.

"Phew!"

With a flash of his figure and without a whisper of wind, Qin Yu disappeared.

"Ahh!"

Clenching his teeth, Qin Yu punched Skinny’s abdomen with all his might. A single one of Qin Yu’s hands could now lift over a couple thousand pounds, but when he punched, it carried the weight of over ten thousand pounds. The terrifying impact force made a "Boom!" and Skinny’s abdomen violently shook. It did not break, but Skinny’s eyes bulged, blood oozed from his seven orifices as all his internal organs were completely shattered by the nearly ten-thousand-pound force of the punch.

Under the nearly ten-thousand-pound impact force, Skinny’s Innate True Qi could not withstand it either.

A punch killed a Middle Innate Expert.

But scenes uncontrollably kept surfacing in Qin Yu’s mind, those warm, familiar moments that he would never forget for the rest of his life.

"Grandpa Lian, open the door, it’s Little Yu, I have something to tell you, hurry and open the door." Qin Yu called urgently, and after a moment, the light in the room turned on, "Little Yu, you woke me just after I had fallen asleep," a kind voice said as the door opened.

A cordial old man of sixty with a jacket on appeared in front of Qin Yu.

That night, Grandpa Lian carefully explained the difference between Inner Strength and Outer Strength, the distinctions between a Postnatal Master, an Innate Expert, and an Upper Immortal. That evening, amid Grandpa Lian’s kind words, a world of cultivation was unveiled to Qin Yu.

A slight smile appeared on Qin Yu’s face, as though he was back in that small cottage at night, with his kind Grandpa Lian inside.

"Ugly, be careful!"

With a loud shout from Yi Feng, a flash of cold light shot directly towards Qin Yu, who didn’t attempt to dodge at all. With a punch, sounds of metal clashing rang out as the embroidery needle turned into powder. Qin Yu’s form, swift as a gust of wind, was already beside Ugly.

"Die."

Ugly fiercely hacked at Qin Yu with a knife.

"Ah!" The ugly man suddenly let out a gut-wrenching scream. Just now, Qin Yu’s leg had delivered a straight kick, terrifyingly breaking the ugly man’s knee. Then with one hand formed into a claw, he grabbed directly at the vulnerable part of the ugly man’s spine, channeling finger force through the Flame Burning Gloves right into the spine’s weak spot.

A shrill scream of agony echoed as the ugly man collapsed on the ground, his body convulsing non-stop, streaks of fresh blood seeping from his mouth.

Scenes flashed through Qin Yu’s mind, from childhood to adulthood, memories flashing by scene by scene. The times spent with Lian Yan could not help but bring a smile to Qin Yu’s face, like the smile of a child meeting a beloved relative, a smile that came from the heart.

Qin Yu looked up, with such a smile at Yi Feng, "It’s just you left now."

Seeing the smile that came from the depths of Qin Yu’s soul chilled Yi Feng to the core. In the span of a moment, two Mid Innate experts had been killed. Yi Feng himself was only at the Mid Innate stage, so his immediate reaction was—

Flee!

The recollection was brief; the scenes in Qin Yu’s mind abruptly changed. He remembered the ghastly sight he had seen moments before on the back of the Black Hawk, the terrifying scene of Lian Yan’s body riddled with ten holes. Qin Yu’s expression suddenly darkened as he stared at Yi Feng ahead of him.

With a single movement, Qin Yu transformed into a series of afterimages.

"Die, stop chasing me, die!" Yi Feng screamed in terror, firing one embroidery needle after another at Qin Yu.

Watching the cold gleam of the incoming embroidery needles, a blinding light burst forth from Qin Yu’s eyes. He seemed to envision the scene of his Grandpa Lian being pierced by embroidery needles, his body riddled with so many holes.

"Ahh—" A roar, raw and ragged, filled the air, and Yi Feng immediately felt a shiver of terror, sensing the roar rapidly closing in on him. No matter how much he stirred his Innate True Qi within, his speed was nowhere near that of the person pursuing him from behind.

If he couldn’t escape, Yi Feng let out a piercing scream, abruptly turned around, and with both hands clutching embroidery needles, he stabbed towards Qin Yu.

"Bang!" "Bang!" "Bang!"...

The needles shattered!

The arms shattered!

And those eyes, bulging with disbelief!

...

A series of booming sounds, accompanied by Yi Feng’s wails of despair.

Qin Yu’s Iron Fist shattered the embroidery needles, crushed Yi Feng’s arms, and finally, with a slight protrusion of his right fist turned to fist-finger, he made a direct attack on the center of Yi Feng’s forehead, the potent penetration force transmitting directly into the brain.

Withdrawing his hand, Qin Yu turned and walked towards Lian Yan, not sparing Yi Feng a single glance.

"Boom!" Yi Feng fell to the ground with a thunderous sound, trails of fresh blood slowly oozing from his mouth and nose, his life already gone.

In just a blink of an eye, four Mid Innate experts had been killed by Qin Yu.

Having cultivated the first thirty-six auxiliary diagrams of the Tongtian Map, Qin Yu’s strength had increased significantly, but even with a Middle Grade Spiritual Artifact, Qin Yu’s strength was at most comparable to that of Zhen Xu. However, the opponents were four Mid Innate experts, and logically, even if he won, it should not have been so easy.

But what Qin Yu was best at was... group combat. He wasn’t afraid of facing multiple opponents; although there were four of them, every actual exchange of blows for Qin Yu was essentially one-on-one.

"Grandpa Lian, let’s go home," Qin Yu said affectionately as he approached Lian Yan, speaking in the same tone as he usually did with Lian Yan, as if he still saw Lian Yan as a living person.
