Stellar Transformation-Chapter 124: Season 5 Episode 27 Cha Hong and Hou Fei
PS: Some readers had questions about the last Chapter: Question 1: How is it possible the Green-eyed Fish Clan was unaware of the battle between the Five Guardians and Black Hawk? If they were aware, couldn’t they have found out who the traitor was and informed the Red Blood Cave Mansion?
Answer: It’s important to realize that there is only one surveillance fish for every few hundred miles. What does a few hundred miles mean? It’s the same distance from Yangzhou to Suzhou. Over such a vast distance, do you really expect to randomly find a scout fish at any given point? If that were the case, it would be extremely unusual!
Qin Yu and the others chose a location. It was just that big, hundreds of miles—imagine if your friend was somewhere on the road between Yangzhou and Suzhou, could you just pick a random place and run into them? I suspect even after a hundred tries, you wouldn’t be that accurate.
Question 2: Why didn’t Sang Mo initially consider that Hou Fei wanted to silence him?
Answer: 1. Sang Mo was tailing him on his own, and he didn’t anticipate that Qin Yu would guess he was being followed.
2. He had already reached the Red Blood Cave Mansion. That’s Cha Hong’s stronghold, and Sang Mo is one of the protectors. Remember, it’s clearly stipulated that their own people are not allowed to kill each other. Sang Mo himself hadn’t thought that Hou Fei would be so bold as to kill another protector within the Red Blood Cave Mansion.
—————————
At this moment, thousands of guards from the Red Blood Cave Mansion were watching the spectacle. The Nine Evil Hall’s rules strictly prohibit intra-faction killing. The Red Blood Cave Mansion was Cha Hong’s headquarters, and killing one protector by another right at the entrance to the mansion was an extremely serious matter.
Cha Po was furious; how could he have imagined that Hou Fei would dare to kill Sang Mo?
"Speak, why didn’t you stop upon hearing my command!" Cha Po shouted again.
Hou Fei didn’t even glance at Cha Po but looked towards the inside of the Cave Mansion. Suddenly, Hou Fei touched his nose, his crimson tongue licked his lips, and he turned his head to look at Cha Po, his eyes blazing with a piercing gold light!
"You want to say that again?"
Hou Fei stared into Cha Po’s eyes and said slowly.
Cha Po was taken aback and hesitated to speak. However, Hou Fei kept his gaze fixed on Cha Po, his immense presence bearing down on him. In just an instant, sweat beaded on Cha Po’s forehead, and his back was soaked with perspiration. It was only then that Cha Po came to his senses.
"Ah, who am I talking to? This monkey, for the sake of the Five Night Purple Flower, even though he knew I was the Vice Cave Master of the Red Blood Cave Mansion, didn’t he still take action against me?" Cha Po recalled the scene when he first became acquainted with Hou Fei.
Cha Po started to regret it a little and thought that dealing with this monkey required his own Big Brother’s intervention. He, Cha Po, was truly no match for Hou Fei.
"Listen clearly to me, I don’t care about any rules, but if someone provokes me, don’t blame me for being merciless. Humph, whether they’re a protector or anyone else. My staff shows no mercy. Remember this, if you don’t provoke me, I won’t provoke you. But if you do provoke me, prepare to become minced meat under my staff!"
Hou Fei glared at Cha Po, sneering as he spoke, then stood right in the middle of the entrance to the Red Blood Cave Mansion.
Upon hearing Hou Fei’s words and seeing the body of the Octopus shattered and floating in the sea, Cha Po silently gasped. He realized more clearly than ever that Hou Fei, this monkey, feared neither heaven nor earth.
"Protector Hou Fei, I ask you in the name of the Vice Cave Master, why did you kill Sang Mo?" Cha Po’s voice had softened.
Hou Fei cackled strangely, then turned his head and, with fiery eyes, looked at Cha Po, "You’re asking me why I killed him? I, Marquis Hou Fei, can’t be bothered to explain." Hou Fei’s demeanor was arrogantly defiant, which surprised the surrounding guards.
Cha Po’s expression soured.
Hou Fei completely disregarded his face.
With a sudden playful laugh, Hou Fei said, "Vice Cave Master Cha Po, actually, do you even need to ask this question? The answer is too simple. He angered me, do you understand, you made me angry, if he hadn’t offended me, why would I kill him?"
Cha Po furrowed his brows, what kind of answer was that? Wasn’t that equivalent to not saying anything?
Right then, Cha Po was about to open his mouth to continue inquiring about how exactly Sang Mo had offended him.
Seeing that Cha Po was about to speak, Hou Fei immediately transmitted through spiritual communication, "Cha Po, my boy, we’re in public, I’m giving you face, let’s keep it cordial. Otherwise, if you irritate Marquis Hou here and we tear off each other’s faces, it won’t be pretty."
Upon hearing the spiritual communication, Cha Po swallowed the words that had reached his throat.
Just at that moment—
"Feifei!"
Following the familiar voice, a black shadow shot over at high speed, and when it stopped, everyone saw that it was Qin Yu arriving on a black flying sword. However, when they saw Qin Yu’s appearance at the moment, everyone was shocked.
Qin Yu had a terrifying wound in his abdomen, and the sight of the injury was horrific. His complexion was deathly pale, his lips were purple.
"Big Brother, what happened to you?" Hou Fei became entirely agitated, his fur standing on end.
Seeing the extent of Qin Yu’s injuries, Cha Po also took a sharp intake of breath; as a Nascent Soul Middle Stage expert, he determined at a glance that someone had directly pierced Qin Yu’s abdomen with a sharp weapon, stabbing into the belly.
For Qin Yu to still be able to return alive with such injuries, he was indeed lucky.
"Big Brother, who injured you?" Hou Fei tensed up, directly supporting Qin Yu, feeling fortunate that Qin Yu had been able to fly back on his sword. Hou Fei’s eyes flashed fiercely, "Tell me who it was, Brother. No matter who injured you, I will obliterate them!"
Hou Fei’s entire demeanor erupted into a frenzied rage.
"Feifei, let it go," Qin Yu tried to squeeze out a faint smile as he spoke.
"Guardian Liu Xing, who is the culprit? Just say it. Anyone who dares to provoke a protector of Red Blood Cave Mansion, we will not let them get away with it," said Cha Po, stepping forward, but in his heart, he recalled Sang Mo’s message.
Bearing the pain, Qin Yu said, "Vice Cave Master, we were acting on the Cave Master’s orders to assassinate Black Hawk. However, to everyone’s surprise, Guardian Bai Yin and Ran Lan actually colluded with Black Hawk and turned to attack us. At the beginning, Guardian Mu Xu was directly ambushed by Guardian Bai Yin and died on the spot."
Upon hearing Qin Yu’s words, Cha Po’s eyebrows twitched.
"Are you saying you, Guardian Liu Xing, along with Guardian Zhuang Zhong, managed to defeat Bai Yin, Ran Lan, and Black Hawk?" Cha Po asked back.
Qin Yu shook his head, "Luckily, Guardian Zhuang Zhong was alert. When Guardian Mu Xu was killed, Guardian Zhuang Zhong immediately attacked Ran Lan, while I targeted Bai Yin. Fortunately, when I left Master, he had given me a treasure, the ’Heavenly Thunder Talisman’, to use in life-threatening situations. I used it to kill Guardian Bai Yin. My injury was caused by Black Hawk, but I had my trump card too. Black Hawk was injured as well and seemed unwilling to fight to the death with me. The Nascent Souls of both Guardian Bai Yin and Guardian Mu Xu were taken by Black Hawk, while Guardian Zhuang Zhong seized the Nascent Soul of Guardian Ran Lan. I came back first to report to the Cave Master due to my faster speed."
As he spoke, a shiny purple Nascent Soul appeared in Qin Yu’s palm.
"This Nascent Soul, please ask the Vice Cave Master to hold onto it for the Cave Master. I urgently need to heal my wounds now," Qin Yu’s face grew several shades paler.
Upon hearing what Qin Yu said, and seeing the Nascent Soul before him, Cha Po recalled the message from Sang Mo and glanced at Qin Yu’s ghastly wound, feeling somewhat confused for a moment.
"Big Brother, don’t talk anymore, go back and heal your wounds quickly."
Hou Fei didn’t let Qin Yu say much more and directly rushed him back to their residence. However, Cha Po didn’t take away Mu Xu’s Nascent Soul, but instead placed it right in front of him.
Clenching his teeth, Cha Po took the Nascent Soul and entered the Cave Mansion. After a while, Guardian Zhuang Zhong also hurried back with minor injuries and went straight into his residence within the Red Blood Cave Mansion.

Outside the seclusion chamber of Cha Hong.
Cha Po stood anxiously outside the chamber and yelled, "Big Brother, come out quickly, there is a big issue. Stop your seclusion. Come out now!" Cha Po was impatient, the thought of everything that happened made him restless.
It was only after a while that the door to the chamber opened.
"What’s the rush? I can’t even meditate in peace these past few days. Speak, what is it exactly? I don’t have the time to waste on you," Cha Hong said coldly.
Cha Hong was at the final moment of breaking the seal’s restriction.
Cha Po said angrily, "No time to waste? Big Brother, do you realize the magnitude of what has happened? Guardian Bai Yin is dead, Mu Xu is dead, Ran Lan is dead; apart from these three Guardians, even Guardian Sang Mo was killed."
Cha Hong’s expression stiffened.
Cha Hong’s expression went through several changes before calming down again, and he said indifferently, "Tell me the details of what happened."
Seeing his own brother so composed, Cha Po was influenced to calm down a bit and immediately said, "It’s a bit complicated; let me give you the brief version. According to Guardian Liu Xing, Bai Yin and Ran Lan colluded with Black Hawk and targeted Liu Xing, Zhuang Zhong, and Mu Xu. Guardian Liu Xing used the ’Heavenly Thunder Talisman’ left by his Master to kill Bai Yin and fought desperately against Black Hawk, managing to frighten him away."
"Liu Xing’s Master? Heavenly Thunder Talisman?" Cha Hong furrowed his brows.
When he had first seen Qin Yu’s unique cultivation method, he had asked about Qin Yu’s sect, but Qin Yu hadn’t said anything.
"However, Guardian Sang Mo sent me a message before his death, saying that Guardian Liu Xing is... that Cultivator!" Cha Po paused for a moment, then continued, "Right after that, Guardian Hou Fei killed Guardian Sang Mo without any apparent reason!"
Cha Po looked toward his big brother, waiting for his reaction.
Cha Hong’s eyes narrowed slightly, a cold light leaking out from them.
"Continue," Cha Hong regained his composure.
Cha Po added, "Yet just now, when Guardian Liu Xing returned, he had severe injuries. His abdomen was torn open, and the wound penetrated deeply inside. If the attack had been a bit heavier, Guardian Liu Xing might have died on the spot. Even so, it will take at least a year and a half for him to recover."
"Big Brother... At first, I suspected that Guardian Liu Xing inflicted the injury on himself. But the wound is too horrifying; a slight mistake could have been suicidal. I don’t think many would dare to harm themselves like that. Plus, he presented Mu Xu’s Nascent Soul, but there’s the message from Guardian Sang Mo before his death."
Cha Po frowned as he spoke.
Cha Hong fixed his gaze on Cha Po and ordered sternly, "Listen, Second Brother, do not let word of this spread. You must keep this information to yourself, and do not interfere in this matter anymore. I will handle everything. Immediately summon all the Guardians to the main hall."
"Yes!" Cha Po nodded and immediately turned to leave.
Cha Hong murmured to himself, "Master, Heavenly Thunder Talisman? Doubtful of their authenticity. That Guardian Liu Xing must be the Cultivator. Of course, a Cultivator doesn’t need the Nascent Soul. Sigh, time, what I need most now is time. If this incident had occurred a year later, I could have acted with much more authority."
***
Above the main hall, the remaining eleven Guardians all gathered, as this incident was a substantial one—four Guardians, Bai Yin, Ran Lan, Mu Xu, and Sang Mo, had died all at once. Moreover, Guardian Sang Mo was killed by Hou Fei right in front of the Red Blood Cave Mansion.
The Xuan Turtle brothers, the Hu Sha brothers, the two Snake Women, Qiu Long Teng Bi, Zhuang Zhong, Qin Yu, and Hou Fei, eleven people stood below in the hall, with Cha Po joining them, all waiting for the arrival of Cha Hong, the Cave Master of the Red Blood Cave Mansion.
After a moment, Cha Hong ascended to the throne, with a wave of his robe he took his seat.
Cha Hong surveyed the Guardians below and then spoke gravely, "Gentlemen, our Red Blood Cave Mansion has suffered an unprecedented disaster in a hundred years. The four great Guardians including Bai Yin have all perished, and Guardian Sang Mo was even killed by Guardian Hou Fei right at the entrance of our Red Blood Cave Mansion."
"Hou Fei!" Cha Hong suddenly barked.
Hou Fei stepped forward, lifting his head to look at Cha Hong with a sinister smile at the corner of his mouth.
"The Nine Evil Hall has set the rules, and the Red Blood Cave Mansion, along with the other Eight Great Cave Mansions, have all adhered to this rule. Members of the same force must not engage in killing each other. Yet you, as a Guardian of the Red Blood Cave Mansion, brazenly killed Sang Mo in front of a crowd of Demon Cultivators. Where does this put the Red Blood Cave Mansion? Where does this put the Nine Evil Hall? And where does this put me, Cha Hong?" Cha Hong shouted furiously.
An enraged Cha Hong released a terrifying aura.
Like the coming of doomsday, a powerful and frightening aura was unleashed in an instant, covering the entire hall and completely suppressing Hou Fei. Cha Hong who had not made a move for many years, had his strength questioned by many people.
But the mere releasing of his aura silenced any doubt among the Guardians below.
Hou Fei’s crimson tongue licked his lips, and he tilted his head back even higher, glaring fiercely at Cha Hong. His eyes, however, burst forth with astonishing desire to battle; he had never been so eager for a fight, to battle a supreme expert.
"Feifei, do you have any assurance?" Qin Yu communicated through Spiritual Sense.
While still staring at Cha Hong, Hou Fei replied through Spiritual Communication, "Without entering Frenzy State, I have no chance; entering Frenzy State, I have a fifty percent chance. This Cha Hong is very strong, extremely strong. But... I like it!"
Hou Fei’s eyes glowed increasingly fierce, his desire for battle becoming even more violent!
