Starting With SSS-rank: I Get A New Skill Every Livestream-Chapter 70: Leave, don’t care
QnA sessions are usually where streamers let their chat ask about their lives and other things. However, Kyle and his audience were a little different.
Instead of answering questions about himself, Kyle listened to their problems and offered suggestions based on their situations.
Since he would be leaving for the trip tomorrow, he knew he wouldn’t have much time to stream again. So here he was, seated in front of his computer, wearing his usual face mask and ready to go live.
He could have used the system to stream, but he kept that for emergencies. He had been using his PC for a long time and was more comfortable with it.
As he started the stream, he saw six people join the chat almost instantly.
He had shared the link with Veronica too, but she hadn’t read his message yet. So there was a good chance the sixth person was—
Brawler: [Just how often do you do this?]
Kyle sighed lightly and said, "Good evening, guys. Welcome to another live stream."
The chat immediately filled with messages—
One-eyed: [How are you, kid? Heard you recently got some training done?]
Myuri: [Please ignore Brawler, Kyle, and good evening :)]
Tharos: [*hugs* Mmm... Kyle is back.]
WarHorse: [How is my brother doing? I was really impressed by your last performance. When are you going to do something like that again?]
Ethara: [I hope you are finding my gift useful, Kyle. And a very good evening to you.]
Kyle replied to each message patiently, one after another. He was already used to their different personalities and ways of speaking, so responding came naturally. He could be casual and humorous with WarHorse and Myuri, act like an older brother with Tharos, and speak sincerely with Ethara and One-eyed.
Then he asked, "Now, who wants to go first?"
The first message came from—
Tharos: [Kyle... I want to break a few rules to fulfill my personal interest... am I not allowed to?]
As usual, the question was vague and could mean anything. He didn’t dwell on the details and replied, "It depends, actually. If your personal interest harms others or causes serious damage, then you shouldn’t be selfish. And if following the rules is becoming difficult, then I can always pamper you a little. Ah...well, it’s your decision to make but I know that when it comes to being wise, my Tharos is the most composed one. So choose calmly."
Tharos: [Mm... then I won’t... and I will continue to rely on Kyle.]
Kyle smiled behind his mask. He always imagined Tharos as a small kid wrapped in a big sweater, typing these messages in a dark room.
That image made him want to reach out, pull the kid close, and pinch their cheeks.
Then came the second question—
Ethara: [What’s important, Kyle... camaraderie toward your comrades or responsibility toward your job?]
Kyle hummed. As expected, Ethara had always been the serious type. Even her question felt like it carried the weight of something far bigger.
Still, he didn’t overcomplicate it and gave his honest answer, "Truthfully? I’m someone who can go against the world for the people I call my friends, or those I love. That’s why I choose them carefully. Because once I accept someone as mine, nothing will make me doubt the compassion I feel for them."
Brawler: [Such a naïve way of thinking. No wonder these people have been acting so recklessly these days. It turns out the person advising them is just an immature being with no sense of responsibility.]
Kyle sighed looking at the text but before he could say something, one after another message began to pop up,
Tharos: [That’s... not nice.]
Tharos: [Kyle isn’t wrong...]
Tharos: [You’re being mean... stop or I will dust you.] 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
WarHorse: [Oi. Watch that mouth of yours. Just because you’re don’t know him doesn’t give you the freedom to spout whatever you want.]
Myuri: [HAHAHA did she really just say that?]
Myuri: ["Sense of responsibility"she says 〒~〒]
Myuri: [Girl, you can’t even take responsibility for your own trash opinions]
Myuri: [Kyle, seriously...can’t you just block her or something?]
Myuri: [Did she wake up today and think "yeah, I’ll embarrass myself publicly"]
Myuri: [This is painful to watch. Do us a favor and &%^^$ yourself with a *&%%^ or maybe take a slab and bash your *&&^%% until &^%^^&]
Ethara: [You speak as though you understand responsibility.]
Ethara: [Yet your words lack both weight and awareness.]
Ethara: [Kyle’s conviction is something you clearly cannot comprehend.]
Ethara: [If you continue in this manner, you will only expose your own inadequacy further.]
Kyle instantly interrupted them, "It’s okay guys, no need to be rude. And Brawler...what I said, is what makes me today. If you don’t agree with me, that’s your opinion."
There was no response from Brawler anymore and soon the six live count turned into five.
Kyle sighed and shook his head. No point in trying to keep readers watching his stream. He has experienced this before too. Initially, these five also got quite upset with what he said.
But he never apologized since he always stood with what he expressed. He never talked rashly or emotionally. He said what he felt without caring about what they would think or react.
Then, Myuri said,
[Kyle...is it okay to be a little rebellious for the one you love?]
Ethara: [This woman...]
Ignoring Ethara’s remark, Kyle hummed before responding, "Yes, of course. For the person you love...it is actually allowed to be a little rogue. I mean, I have done things-
Myuri: [Noooooo! Don’t tell me about your love life! I can’t stand to hear that!!]
Kyle chuckled before shaking his head.
He ended the stream not so long after, after he answered a few more questions and suggested them a few things.
Then, near the end, came an advice for him.
One-eyed: [Kyle...if things become too difficult for you, don’t restrain yourself. Above everything else is your life. Don’t compromise it for anything.]
Kyle turned silent at those words...not actually grasping what he meant. But soon...he would
