Starting with Proficiency Panel-Chapter 521: See the real deal tomorrow at noon (new book content)
Excitement, greed, and even a kind of expectation—hoping the other wouldn't be late to class.
The entire eerie classroom was silent for about three minutes, then the black-robed tutor, with a hint of suppressed excitement, said, "Alright, class, let's begin."
He swayed his wide sleeves, and the classroom door swiftly sealed shut.
As soon as he finished speaking, a frantic, somewhat fearful voice came from the classroom door.
"Sorry teacher, I'm late. May I please come in?"
A strange smile appeared on the indistinct features beneath the black-robed tutor's hood, "Of course, my dear student."
He extended his hand, revealing a puffy palm covered with disgusting slime, and waved lightly towards the classroom door, which roared open, revealing a student dressed in a black robe.
When the classroom door opened, the late student seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, bowing and thanking, "Thank you, teacher."
"No problem, no problem..."
The late student, not yet fully upright, caught sight of the black-robed tutor before him; upon raising his head, he saw a crimson flash rush towards him.
From Li Qing's perspective, he saw a scene that made his skin crawl: the black-robed tutor lifted his hood, revealing his head.
It was a catfish-like head, with dead fish eyes wide open with excitement. Two catfish whiskers floated beside the mouth, then it opened an enormous maw filled with sharp, interlacing teeth.
Next, a crimson tongue swiftly lashed out, wrapping around the late student. A crackling sound of bones breaking ensued, and the student was swallowed without a sound into the enormous mouth of the catfish head.
The late student's black robe fluttered, and Li Qing, in a fleeting glance, saw that beneath the robe were two slender, hoof-like legs.
The late student was directly consumed by the Catfish Tutor.
A delightfully disgusting sound emanated from the Catfish Tutor's mouth, as though savoring an unparalleled delicacy.
"How many years has it been? How many years... Finally... I finally got to eat something!!"
Its eyes brimmed with tears, trembling with sheer excitement.
Li Qing watched with clenched fists, his breath slightly heavy, taking deep breaths as cold sweat unknowingly covered his forehead and back. His clenched jaw caused his cheeks to bulge.
At this moment, Li Qing finally understood he hadn't arrived at some online novel's magic academy, nor was he at Hogwarts in Harry Potter.
This was the Demon Land, a place where devils gathered.
Finally calming down a bit, he quietly surveyed the room; none of the students showed any unusual reactions.
Their gazes varied, cold, mocking, even excited.
But as Li Qing calmed down, he noticed a slight, deep-seated fear in their eyes.
After about three minutes, the tutor put his hood back on and stepped onto the podium.
The Catfish Tutor, immensely satisfied, spoke with pleasure, "Dear students, a friendly reminder: the first thing at Gray Magic Academy is to follow the school's rules. Since you're all wearing the destruction, we'll abide by the rules. Everything has rules, and Gray is no exception."
He paused, spreading his hands, "My name is Rosenberg. Let's enjoy our time together." 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
Rosenberg's low laughter made Li Qing quite uneasy. His voice seemed filled with demons whispering sinisterly in his ear, planning to seize his soul.
"Alright everyone, let's start our first lesson... Summon the demons within your hearts!"
From the birth of magic to the present, it has flourished to the extreme, with countless spells constantly emerging in mages' hands. Even the simplest manifestation of the Shaping Magic in reality has countless types, vast as the sea.
However, what was presented before Li Qing now was completely beyond the orthodox categories of magic—Demon Summoning.
Looking at the magical ritual displayed on the desk, Li Qing was silent; he hadn't just boarded a pirate ship, but had walked as an innocently naïve lamb into the abyssal depths where untold devils lurked.
But, it seemed that apart from him, the remaining thirteen others were entirely unfazed, as if it were business as usual.
After explaining the magical principles, two hours had passed.
Rosenberg: "Does anyone have questions?"
Seeing everyone silent, Rosenberg clapped his hands, smiling, "Everyone, your Meditation Skill should at least have inscribed one line, so this Saint Summoning should be easy. Or rather, as long as you can sense your own Spiritual Power and release Spiritual Fluctuation, there should be no problem.
Today's lesson is over. I expect you to complete your Saint Summoning ritual before class tomorrow—this is your study task. I hope everyone can finish it smoothly."
But Rosenberg's tone was totally wicked, clearly anticipating some students failing to complete it.
Imprinting just one line from the Light Ball cluster...
Isn't it a bit too little?
Li Qing sensed the faintly glowing Light Ball in his mind, with three hundred sixty-five bright lines waiting to spread throughout the sea of consciousness, forming magic power within.
After Rosenberg left, the classroom fell into an oddly silent atmosphere. After a minute or two, seeing some leaving, Li Qing calmly departed as well.
Midway, Anna turned to look at him. Li Qing keenly sensed the malice behind it.
These people were as disgusting as certain workplace individuals—narrow-minded to extremes. If you slightly displeased them, or if an unwitting action or innocent words offended them, they would hold grudges and constantly trip you up.
Dealing with such people, Li Qing had no desire to play mind games. He flipped the table directly, especially buying a burlap sack to ambush them in an alley during their late-night overtime, giving them a few thorough beatings.
Of course, Li Qing was extremely cautious doing such things, planning the ambush in advance and avoiding all surveillance cameras.
If not thoroughly disgusted, Li Qing wouldn't have done this.
After staking out for several days and giving several beatings without making a sound, they finally reported to the police. Li Qing was called in for questioning, but his strong psychological endurance and the fabricated time gap left not a single hint.
Thinking about this, Li Qing pushed open the classroom door with a slight headache, the emblem on his wrist lighting up. Returning to his safe house, he quickly shut the door.
