After saying goodbye to President Zhao and President Huang, Ye Chen immediately called Su Wanyi.
Yesterday, Su Wanyi had told him that her parents wanted to invite him to their home, and such matters are better addressed sooner rather than later.
Just as he was about to dial, Su Wanyi’s call came in: "Ye Chen, do you have plans today? Come with me to visit my parents."
"Sure, I was just about to call you about that. Where are you? I’ll come pick you up now," Ye Chen said with a smile.
"Wait for me downstairs at my office," Su Wanyi said before hanging up.
Ye Chen wanted to ask if she had eaten breakfast, so he could bring some for her. Unfortunately, this woman always hung up in a hurry before the conversation was finished.
Driving to the Golden Arches, Ye Chen bought two breakfasts and headed toward the company.
Arriving at the company entrance, Ye Chen parked the car and walked toward the building with two breakfasts in hand.
Since he was going to meet Su Wanyi’s parents, Ye Chen dressed appropriately out of courtesy.
It was office hours, and various women in stockings with long legs hurried toward the building.
Unlike other bosses, Su Wanyi, as the owner, wasn’t rigid about schedules. As most employees were women who tended to dawdle before leaving, she set the work time for exactly 9:00.
Ye Chen, looking dashing in his suit, also walking toward the building, caught the attention of many of these women.
Without stopping, Ye Chen went straight to Su Wanyi’s office and entered directly without knocking.
"Honey, I came to bring you breakfast," Ye Chen said with a smile as he walked in.
Su Wanyi, who was busy in front of her computer, paused her work upon hearing him.
She suddenly remembered she hadn’t eaten breakfast, and her stomach began to growl.
"Ye Chen, you came just in time. Thank you for the thoughtful breakfast."
Su Wanyi took the breakfast Ye Chen handed her and, disregarding her ladylike image, began to eat.
If it weren’t for Ye Chen, she probably would have waited until lunch to eat.
Ye Chen chuckled at the sight of Su Wanyi before him, thinking how dedicated she was to her work.
He couldn’t understand why Su Wanyi worked so hard when she could just relax at home, yet insisted on working among men.
Ye Chen had asked Su Wanyi about this many times, and her answer was always that she wanted to have her own career and not rely on anyone.
"Does it look ugly the way I eat?" Feeling Ye Chen’s gaze, Su Wanyi quickly asked.
Ye Chen responded with a smile, "You’ll always be the most beautiful in my eyes."
"Cheesy," Su Wanyi glanced at Ye Chen.
Then, looking at Ye Chen who was also having breakfast, she said, "Ye Chen, wait a bit for me, I have a little more work to do."
"Okay, take your time, no rush."
After finishing his breakfast, Ye Chen just continuously watched Su Wanyi focused on her work.
Although aware of Ye Chen’s gaze, Su Wanyi didn’t say anything.
Maybe because he got up too early, Ye Chen unknowingly fell asleep.
Seeing Ye Chen lying on the sofa, Su Wanyi fetched a blanket from the rest room to gently cover him, then went back to her work at the computer.
Checking the clock, it was already past 12 noon. Su Wanyi stretched and exhaled a sigh of relief, "Finally, all done."
She got up from her seat, walked quietly to Ye Chen still in dreamland, sat softly beside him, and took a good look at him.
She suddenly realized how handsome her husband was, feeling a bit proud.
The more she looked, the more she got engrossed, even falling into a reverie.
"Have you seen enough?" A man’s voice suddenly broke the silence.
This startled Su Wanyi.
Once she calmed down, she realized Ye Chen had been awake all along, pretending to sleep.
And he was watching her; their eyes met, and Su Wanyi’s face turned beet red.
"Ye Chen, you pretended to sleep to tease me," Su Wanyi said, her face flushed, lightly punching Ye Chen with her fists.
Ye Chen would, of course, not admit it, pretending to be wronged, "Honey, I just woke up to find you sneaking a peek."
Su Wanyi didn’t believe him at all, and kept playfully hitting and pinching him.
A knock on the door came from outside, but Su Wanyi didn’t hear it at all.
Yang Xue pushed the door open, walking in while saying, "President Su, it’s lunch time, shall we go to..."
She hadn’t finished her sentence when she saw Su Wanyi playfully fighting with a man on the sofa, clearly not hearing her.
Quickly, Yang Xue shut her eyes, intending to back out of the office.
But it was too late; Ye Chen nudged Su Wanyi saying, "Your secretary is here."
Upon hearing this, Su Wanyi’s face turned a deeper shade of red, realizing she hadn’t noticed someone entering the room.
Moreover, she was usually high and aloof, regarded by her employees as an Ice Queen.
Such behavior had certainly ruined her image.

Ye Chen got up from the sofa, looked at the adorable girl before him, and said, "Yang Xue, is it? You’re here to see President Su for something?"
With Ye Chen’s question, Yang Xue snapped back to reality.
She looked at the man in the suit, with looks like a TV star, and her face reddened even more.
"This handsome guy is really good-looking. No wonder President Su behaves like that with him. I wish I had such a handsome boyfriend."
Ye Chen, with his mind reading skill, of course knew what Yang Xue was thinking.
"Actually, it’s nothing important. I just wanted to invite President Su for lunch," Yang Xue said with her head down.
She didn’t dare to look at Ye Chen again for fear her face would turn an even deeper shade of red.
Feeling apologetic, Su Wanyi said, "Yang Xue, I have something to do later, so I won’t join you for lunch. I won’t be coming back to the office this afternoon, so just give me a call if anything comes up."
"Okay, President Su," Yang Xue said and walked out of the office.
Just as she turned around, she caught Ye Chen’s gaze, making her heart race like the fluttering of a deer.
It was the first time Yang Xue felt this way in front of a guy, recognizing the feeling as a sudden crush.
