Star Ship Girl Era: My Shipgirls Are Too Overpowered-Chapter 86: Astercourt-class Administrative Logistics Shipgirl: Astercourt
The days around the docks did not stay quiet for long.
Not because anything went wrong, but because Aurelian had too many things lined up to simply wait around and watch repair lights blink over metal, and he had never been the kind of person who stayed idle when there were steps that could be taken.
On the second day after Neris awakened, the purple source core in the Nanoforge Recovery Pod finally reacted; the shift was subtle but clear once it happened.
He had been on Black Crown at the time, going over route notes and supply estimates for later plans, his attention split between immediate logistics and longer-term movement, when the pod sent a soft completion signal through the internal system.
Aurelian went there at once, closing everything else without hesitation.
Inside the chamber, the purple glow had already faded, replaced by the outline of a woman standing still behind the transparent shell, her form fully stabilized.
When the pod opened, she stepped out with calm, measured grace, as if she had been awakened a long time ago rather than just now, her movements smooth and without the instability that often followed fresh awakenings.
She looked very different from the others. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
Her black hair was smooth and neatly arranged, her posture perfectly straight, and her clothes had a refined, old-fashioned service style, black and white, elegant, fitted, and formal without looking like combat gear at all.
The first impression she gave was not that of a frontline shipgirl, but of someone who could run an entire household, office, and fleet in an efficient way that would reduce any and all loss of time and energy.
Aurelian watched her for a second longer than usual, taking in the details without rushing to respond.
Then she lowered herself in a proper bow, as a perfect maid meeting her master.
"Administrative logistics design vessel, first hull candidate of the Astercourt line, reporting to you," she said. Her voice was soft, clear, and perfectly controlled.
Hearing her explain her origin made Aurelian’s eyes light up as he knew why he felt as if she were the prefect household controller when he first saw her.
As he thought about this, he saw that she held out a blueprint, offering it with a small smile.
He took it, looked it over once, and his eyes sharpened slightly, the structure of it immediately standing out.
This was not a normal single-use plan.
It was a multi-construction class blueprint, something far rarer and far more flexible.
Fifteen construction authorizations.
Aurelian looked back up at her, confirming what he had already seen.
"This can be used fifteen times?"
"Yes," she replied calmly. "My class was never fully built, but the design family was completed. Fifteen hulls were planned."
That made the value of the thing jump immediately, as this meant that he would not have one administration ship girl but up to fifteen.
A single shipgirl was already worth a lot.
A whole logistics-administration line tied to one design family was something else entirely, something that scaled with time instead of staying fixed.
And more importantly, as these were still within the limit he is able to build, he can build them without any restrictions.
The blueprint requirements placed it in the range he could build once he chose to spend the resources, which meant this was not some long-delayed dream ship he had to stare at from a distance.
He could really use it.
Aurelian read a little further down the blueprint, taking note of the requirements and structure, then handed it back to her without keeping it open longer than necessary.
"You’ll have to wait a bit for the first hull build," he said, "but not too long."
She nodded, accepting that easily, without asking for specifics.
"Understood."
Then she added, in the same composed tone, "As we are still in design phase, we never had an official name, so I would like you to give me and my sisters one."
That made him pause.
He had never thought of himself as especially good at naming things, and naming a whole line of ships at once was even worse, especially when the names would carry forward.
Still, after a short silence, he gave the answer that felt the cleanest, the one that did not try to complicate things.
"As the class of ships is called Astercourt," he said. "And since you’re the first, your name will be Astercourt as well for now. I’ll name the rest when their time comes."
She gave a small nod, as if that was more than enough, not needing anything more elaborate.
"Thank you, Commander."
Aurelian then opened her information through the commander network, and what he saw matched what she looked like, structured and efficient.
[Warship Name: Astercourt]
[Warship Status: No Active Hull Constructed]
[Ship Class Prototype: T4 Astercourt-class Administrative Logistics Cruiser]
[Construction Authorizations Remaining: 15]
[Ship Girl: Astercourt]
[Talent: Household Dominion (Dark Purple High-Tier)]
Then the detailed talent lines unfolded, each one cleanly defined.
[Household DominionPermanent Effect: Increases fleet administrative efficiency by 20%, reduces supply misallocation and command delay by 15%, increases internal repair scheduling efficiency by 10%, and improves support-ship coordination by 12%.
Active Skill 1: Ordered RotationFor 30 minutes, allied fleet ammunition conversion efficiency increases by 20%, internal reload scheduling is optimized, and logistical waste is reduced sharply. Cooldown: 24 hours.
Active Skill 2: Quiet HallFor 10 minutes, allied non-flagship vessels under fleet command reduce active signature output and communications leakage, lowering detection and lock quality from enemy scanning. Cooldown: 3 hours.]
Aurelian looked over the skills in silence, taking in everything that Astercourt had to offer.
As he can tell, for a real fleet, it was excellent, the kind of support that made everything else work better without drawing attention to itself.
Astercourt was exactly the type of shipgirl that made growth smoother, supply cleaner, organization tighter, and all the little things less likely to fall apart under pressure, especially over time.
That made her much more useful than she first looked, especially in the long run.
He closed the panel and looked back at her.
"For now, stay close to me," he said. "You’ll act as adjutant and logistics support until your first hull is built."
Astercourt lowered her head slightly, accepting the role without hesitation.
"As you wish, Commander."
With that handled, Aurelian finally moved on to the other thing he had planned during this repair window, not letting the moment stretch longer than necessary.
