Star Odyssey-Chapter 3444: Five Domains Emptied
Chapter 3444: Five Domains Emptied
"Will there be any problems with this? I’ve met Yuan Qi before—he's insidious, ruthless, and very perceptive. If he was not completely confident, he would have never dared to defy the Ascendant Hall. Now, the Grandverse Manor is directly opposing the High Seraph, which means that Yuan Qi must have mastered something, or possibly even overcome Dukkha and become strong enough to challenge the High Seraph," Nie Fei commented worriedly.
A woman's voice replied. It was seductive and enchanting, and it belonged to Qi Yan. "What are you afraid of? We aren’t acting alone. Five domains have formed an alliance, and we’re merely putting up a blockade. We simply wish to show our loyalty to the Ascendant Hall and have the High Seraph allot some more resources for us. Once that goal has been achieved, we’ll retreat. We won’t become enemies with the Grandverse Manor."
Nie Fei said anxiously, "I still feel uneasy about this."
Qi Yan snorted coldly. "Let’s assume the worst case scenario, which would be that the Grandverse Manor retaliates. Even if the Zhenyu Sect and the Nie family are destroyed, we can simply rebuild them. Don't forget who’s backing this five-domain alliance. Their goal isn't the Grandverse Manor, but rather to unite us so that we can overcome those who are above us.
"Each of the thirty-six domains fights alone. The High Seraph's focus is always on the upper domains, which prevents us from ever getting any resources. Only by uniting can we hope to have a say in things. Do you still doubt that person’s wisdom?"
Nie Fei nodded. "Let’s stay here for now. How have our direct descendants been arranged?"
"All of them have been hidden. Even if the entire Mang Mountain Domain is destroyed, it won’t matter," Qi Yan replied in an indifferent tone.
As soon as she finished speaking, the void trembled, and each of them was overcome with an indescribable sense of danger. It was as though they were looking into the maw of some primitive beast, and terror sprouted from their very bloodline. Both people instantly turned pale.
There was a deafening roar as the lake’s water was scattered and a massive beast’s claw fell, aimed straight for the two people.
They were both horrified. Who was this? They quickly dodged, even as a flood of sequence particles spread out in every direction. At that moment, they managed to get a clear view of the astral beast that stood up above them, staring down at the couple with cruel eyes that blazed with bloodlust.
"The Primal Beastland? Why?" Nie Fei was confused, but he did not hesitate to retaliate. Even if it was the Primal Beastland attacking them, he would not simply give up.
Qi Yan appeared to flow elegantly as she moved. Her actions were beautiful beyond words, but to the astral beast, such beauty meant nothing.
The astral beast was actually Wilderness God. This was the day when the Grandverse Manor would show the Spirit Nidus what it meant to be undefeatable.
The Boundless Halberd that appeared to be simultaneously real and illusory stabbed through the sea of sequence particles and impaled both Nie Fei and Qi Yan. The two were sequence powerhouses, but even though both of them tried to counterattack with their sequence particles, their efforts were useless. They were facing Wilderness God’s Law of Destruction, and neither of the humans had ever faced a self-created law of the universe. Neither of them could withstand it.
Individually, each of the two was even weaker than Old Mo.

The Spirit Nidus has a terrifying number of sequence powerhouses due to their unified cultivation system. Their spirit seeds granted clear understanding to each cultivator, and that meant that it was far easier for Spirit Nidus cultivators to comprehend sequence particles than it was for Tianyuan cultivators. However, in comparison, any Tianyuan cultivator who became a sequence powerhouse would be regarded as an incredible master in the Spirit Nidus.
Nie Fei and Qi Yan could not understand why their sequence technique had failed them. They could not understand the Boundless Halberd that used space as its shaft and time as its blade. The power of time was too elusive and ethereal in the Spirit Nidus for people to be able to master it.
While Lu Yin and the others were no longer able to call upon the River of Aeons after entering the Spirit Nidus, the power of time was still something that existed in all megaverses, which meant that their ability to use it was not impacted in any way.
"Work together! Use Nie Yu’s true technique!" Nie Fei roared.
Qi Yan’s face was pale, and blood leaked from her mouth as she moved closer to Nie Fei. They clasped hands, and behind them, the image of a massive hand appeared. It was so large that it blotted out the sky as it shot at Wilderness God.
Everyone in the Mang Mountain Domain saw a strange scene that day. A massive hand attacked an astral beast, only to be torn apart by the beast. The Boundless Halberd easily pierced the hand, stabbing into Nie Fei and Qi Yan's shoulders, before lifting the humans into the air.
Everyone from the Nie family and the Zhenyu Sect were horrified by this sight, as they could clearly see the miserable condition of their ancestors.
Wilderness God released an earth-shattering roar, "The Grandverse Manor is not something you weaklings can provoke! Today, five domains will be emptied."
With that, the astral beast’s paw fell down upon both the Nie family and Zhenyu Sect.
The two major forces that ruled over the Mang Mountain Domain, which even the Ascendant Hall had to take note of, were crushed by a paw. No one was able to escape.
Nie Fei opened his eyes. His vision was blurry, and yet all he saw was flesh and blood. In front of him, countless members of his Nie family had been crushed by the beast’s paw. They should not have listened to that person; they had been completely wrong. They had made a grave mistake. They were not qualified to get involved in conflicts that involved experts at the level of the Seven Seraphs. All of them had been wrong.
Qi Yan fell into despair as she was overwhelmed by fear. She and Nie Fei had worked so hard to secretly gain total control of the Mang Mountain Domain, and their success had been great enough for them to leave a mark in the history of the Spirit Nidus. Why had things turned out like this?
Was this astral beast... from the Grandverse Manor? She had never heard of an astral beast like this one in the Grandverse Manor.
"Spare us! Spare us! We... we are willing to submit to the Grandverse Manor!" Qi Yan begged.
Wilderness God held his halberd and suddenly pulled it back. The blade swept through space, slicing through the void as it was swung. Nie Fei and Qi Yan did not move even as they were reduced to bloodmists that splattered across the ground.
No second chances would be granted. The Grandverse Manor had made its stance clear.
At this same time, four other domains were attacked. Lu Tianyi, Sovereign Dou Sheng, Ce Wangtian, and Mu Zhu all attacked. In one day, five domains’ ruling powers were wiped out. All of their forces vanished without a trace.
It was the day that the Spirit Nidus trembled.
The Grandverse Manor’s influence was not restricted to the Hundred Grasses Domain. They were able to leave that domain and wreak havoc, and they had even erased five domains. This also made it clear that they had an impressive ability to gather intelligence. How else could they have learned which domains were responsible for the blockade locking down the Hundred Grasses Domain so quickly?
This ability to gather information in the Spirit Nidus was even more terrifying than the combat power that they had revealed. Everyone knew that the Grandverse Manor had to have other hidden powerhouses.
Another explanation for this event was that it was possible that the Grandverse Manor had been planning to move against the Spirit Nidus for a long time. That their appearance had not been a sudden thing, but rather that Seraph Yuan Qi had been plotting for years.
Some people felt invigorated by the incident, but others grew fearful.
In the Lushan Domain, the Yuan family was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief. Yuan Qi, their ancestor, had not arbitrarily decided to antagonize the Ascendant Hall. The Grandverse Manor was thoroughly prepared.
The cultivators who had surrounded the Yuan family started to retreat, though they continued to observe. It was starting to look like, even if the Grandverse Manor was opposing the High Seraph, they would not necessarily be easily defeated.
The attacks that emptied five domains forced everyone to reevaluate the Grandverse Manor.
Seven sequence powerhouses had died in one attack.
Bright stars fell, releasing cold light. Countless people were kneeling on the ground in prayer while facing a statue.
The statue was of a middle-aged man. He appeared to be a refined and elegant man, and the statue showed him gazing at the starry sky with one hand upraised. It looked as if he was holding something that was far out of sight.
Suddenly, the statue cracked. The cracks grew larger and larger until the entire statue shattered, the shards scattering across the ground.
The people kneeling on the ground screamed in terror and despair, reacting as though their faith had been destroyed. They frantically gathered up the fragments of the statue.
Soon, all of the statue pieces had been taken away, and only the barren ground remained.
Lu Yin emerged from the void, stepping onto the desolate ground. His hands were clasped behind his back, and his expression was calm. "Was this performance put on for my sake?"
A soft voice spoke out from in front of him, and a man stepped forward. To Lu Yin's surprise, the man was the same person who had been depicted by the statue. "Are you the Grandverse Manor’s Third Boss?"
Lu Yin stared at the man. "What are you trying to demonstrate?"
The man smiled and openly studied Lu Yin. "As expected of someone who could defeat Yu Shan. Even I feel a bit of danger from you. You are most likely not much weaker than the High Seraph himself. I’m curious, just who are you?"
"Weren’t the ones who sent you after my Grandverse Manor supposed to tell you?"
"I prefer to look into things myself."
Lu Yin chuckled. "There are times when looking into things yourself can go out of your control."
The middle-aged man remained calm. "Did you see those people just now? When my statue shattered, the first thing that they sought was to protect their faith. In their hearts, I come before everything else.
"In the same manner, the High Seraph is above all others in the hearts of every cultivator in the Spirit Nidus.
"The Grandverse Manor’s provocation of the Ascendant Hall and your attempt to challenge the High Seraph is an assault on the faith of the entire Spirit Nidus. You should not be doing this."
Lu Yin stared back at the man. "After hearing everything you’re saying, I’m not even interested in learning your name."
"You’re that confident in their faith in you?" The man sneered.
"Let me see if your confidence is deserved." With a flick of a finger, Lu Yin sent a spiral of karma towards the man. While the man could not see the spiral of karma, his instincts made him dodge. He knew that, since Lu Yin had the courage to face him alone, the younger man had to have some measure of hidden strength. After all, the man was a powerful Dukkhan.
Why had the five domains been so confident that their alliance could get the High Seraph’s attention? Why had they been willing to go against the already infamous Grandverse Manor? It was all because they had gained the support of a powerful Dukkhan from the Wisdom Domain. This man was the hidden guardian of the Wisdom Domain.
The five-domain alliance had secretly been orchestrated by the Wisdom Domain, which was why Lu Yin had taken such an interest and gone to see things for himself. However, he had never expected this man to say such words.
What was the relationship between the Wisdom Domain and the High Seraph? Why would this person side with the High Seraph? Lu Yin did not know, but frankly, he did not care.
He also did not care about the hidden plots of the secretive force behind the alliance. Whatever they intended would eventually be revealed.
The middle-aged man made his move. No Dukkhan could be underestimated. This person might not be as powerful as one of the Seven Seraphs, but he was still certainly a formidable opponent. He had to be at least as strong as Astral Anura.
Lu Yin acknowledged his opponent’s power. This was someone whose strength warranted Lu Yin’s full attention.
He also had another purpose for this trip; Lu Yin was attempting to use his Inner Clarity Technique.
He had spent a good bit of time continuously using his spirals of karma, testing his Inner Clarity Technique for combat use, and he had found a direction to take. This Dukkhan would serve as the perfect test subject to determine if Lu Yin’s new approach was viable.
The middle-aged man faced Lu Yin and pointed a finger sideways. The void started to glow brightly. Countless celestial phenomena spun around the two men, and for a moment, Lu Yin saw countless images flashing before his eyes. It was as though he had lived through those images while simultaneously never experiencing them.
This was the fifth-ranked sequence technique. It was called Second Image.
Second Image could duplicate any phenomenon, or even any illusion. It could cause anything to appear a second time.
Stars erupted from Lu Yin’s chest as he released his inner universe, repelling the sequence particles. Another spiral of karma shot toward the middle-aged man from behind.
The man was able to sense the danger from the spirals of karma. He was a Dukkhan, which was technically the same cultivation realm as the High Seraph, though that man could be considered a Semi-Immortal after having overcome Dukkha.
Dukkhans essentially stood at the peak of the world of cultivators, given that Immortals were invincible. While the combat strength of Dukkhans could vary wildly, all of them were extremely sensitive to the subtle danger of karma.
"I don't know what you're doing, but I can sense the danger." The middle-aged man was amazed. "Sense that's the case, I’ll need to take things a bit more seriously."
A stream of energy appeared and swirled around the man's fingertip before transforming into a sword. The blade flashed, slicing at Lu Yin.
