Star Gate-Chapter 1730: Silver Moon’s Giant Leap Forward (III)
It seemed to be everyone’s first time clearly coming in contact with the great dao. Someone couldn’t help but ask, “Why can’t we feel this normally or even sense it, but can now touch it? Is the great dao tangible?”
“Of course it is tangible—it is an intangible corporeal form. It sounds paradoxical, but it’s not. The great dao is a type of energy! It’s just that you are unable to sense it clearly in normal times because you do not train that particular dao.
“I display them all through the power of time today, which means that time is also a collection of a myriad daos!”
The group collectively blinked. Li Hao didn’t mind their reactions, such was the truth. He’d guessed at it long ago. Spatial dao might be formed by 9,999 dao rules. That was the Skyward master. Would the addition of another dao rule create time?
Was time an independent dao, or was it the result of a true collection of a myriad daos?
Li Hao needed to further think on the matter. At the same time, that was a very long way off. It was only today that he clearly understood just how hard it would be to perfect time. It was so hard that he was even prepared to strive toward this goal for the rest of his life. Becoming the master of time might be his lifelong endeavor.
His current power of time was just an embryo.
No further questions were forthcoming as everyone stretched their hand toward a great dao.
“You may begin extraction,” said Li Hao. “Whoever had the last dao to form can now enclose it with their own dao strength. Be very careful and don’t rush yourself. The entire dao net will crumble once you stumble over yourself!
“If there comes a dao without someone in charge, those who think they have the ability to wield it can give it a try. The seniors can also try...” He turned his head to roar, “Senior Celestial Pole, you should go too!”
“......” Off in the distance, Celestial Pole blinked. He couldn’t help his resignation. “None of these daos are a good match for what I wield...”
“Then try to comprehend a dao that no one else is controlling.” Li Hao rolled his eyes. “I’m not telling you to go fight. There’s a certain baseline of accomplishments you need to reach before kicking back and relaxing, alright?
“When everyone’s a seventh rank and you’re an existence that can be slapped to death at any second, tell me how you’ll be able to relax then!”
That seemed to make a bit of sense. But.. seventh rank? Everyone being a seventh rank?
You’re joking!
A hapless Celestial Pole had to step forward.
Li Hao looked at the rest. Many were very nervous and some of the Silver Moon new guard were sweating profusely. Apart from those of Silver Moon, some of those previously from New Martial and Evenround students were also quite nervous.
To be honest, they’d never experienced dismantling a world. Even the Human King had never permitted anyone to taste it firsthand. They didn’t know if the Human King wasn’t capable or couldn’t be bothered to do so. Or perhaps he was too busy to entertain the thought. He’d just never dismantled a dao net in front of them before.
Compared to the Human King strengthening himself, Li Hao sometimes explained the great dao to those weaker when he had a chance to.
That was a very rare character attribute!
“We’ll start with you, Gan Wuliang!”
The final dao to form in this minor world was one of illusion. Gan Wuliang held it at the moment since he wished to try any dao.
He slowly got to work after hearing Li Hao’s command. He surrounded the great dao with his own dao strength and comprehension. After absorbing some of the comprehension within, he gingerly commenced dismantling.
The daos within a dao net could not be yanked apart through brute force. This was only one dao in a minor world, but he was exceedingly nervous as a fourth rank master of dao. He was deathly afraid of being the first one to make a mistake. That would be very troublesome indeed.
The first great dao was successfully pulled out. Gan Wuliang studied it for a bit before shoving it into his dao river. This dao was his.
The rest proceeded in an orderly fashion. The first couple of cultivators were successful, then it was turn for one of the younger generation of Silver Moon. The dao in front of Liu Yin was the dao of the spear. He’d just started pulling it free when the great dao broke with a snap and the entire dao net began collapsing!
Liu Long’s face slackened with dismay!
His son... had failed. There were a lot of people waiting behind his son; Liu Yin had only broken down part of it before he failed!
The newer generation seemed to lack the clearer understanding of great dao that the older generation possessed. Liu Yin’s eyes widened with horror as well!
The thread of spear dao crumbled away in his hands. One had to know that although there were many spear cultivators, Golden Spear and the rest had given way to him. This was one of his most familiar daos, but he’d failed almost as soon as he started!
It’d be fine if his actions only affected his thread, but his failure launched a cascade reaction for the rest of the net!
The minor world’s dao strength immediately turned murky and even showed signs of exploding!
Li Hao said nothing. He reached out with a hand and closed it around endless dao strength, suppressing the disorderly mess of dao strength. He didn’t give it a chance to detonate. When he looked at Liu Yin, he found the latter’s face filled with despair.
Seeing that Li Hao was looking at him, Liu Yin’s dejection deepened to the point of no return.
“I... I...” he began hesitantly.
Li Hao looked at him and said slowly after a while, “It’s fine, it’s just a minor world. It’s fine if its dao net explodes, there’s a lot more chances to come!” The young man grinned broadly. “It’s alright if your comprehension isn’t that great, young’un. Just keep your limits in mind. There’s no need to be embarrassed!
“I’ll give you a mission instead. You don’t need to participate in the dismantlings to come, but I’m giving you an even more important mission.”
Liu Yin was immensely depressed. What mission could there be, and an important one at that?
“There are two thousand jumbled great daos here. It will be difficult for you to isolate the spear dao that was about to explode. But if you can do so, you will gain far more than just stripping out one great dao from the net!
“Those lacking the confidence to wield a great dao can give it a try with Liu Yin. Of course, you may not gain anything and I actually don’t rate your chances that highly. But if you succeed, you will have far more than what you have now!”
“I can still try to pull it out?” Liu Yin hastily asked.
“Yes, but the level of difficulty will be very high. Do you want to give it a try?”
“I’ll.... I’ll give it a try!”
“Be more confident, youngster!” Li Hao nodded with a smile. “Are you young if you’re not full of it?”
Everyone seemed to have forgotten in this moment that Li Hao himself wasn’t that old.
“You can silence this world when they’re done.” Li Hao looked at Void. “Then revitalize it. Let’s treat it as a trial run for silencing Skyward, we don’t need to waste anything. We’ll do everything we can with a world and shove the last dregs of energy into Silver Moon’s dao universe!”
Void nodded, impressed. The general way to treat a minor world in the past was to eat it outright. But when it came to Li Hao, they used it in the true sense of the word. Not a single particle was wasted; he’d truly reached new heights with it.
He didn’t waste the world origin either—that could be silenced, devoured by Silver Moon, fed to Number Two...
The disorderly dao strength could also be shoved into the Silver Moon dao universe for the dao universe to slowly purify.
“In addition, I’ve developed a new dao,” said Li Hao. “It takes the form of a dao meridian that everyone can learn. It’s a dao of purification that’s not too difficult to pick up. We’ll all be taking in some jumbled dao strength this time...”
“We can forget about that!” Void couldn’t help himself.
“I’m not telling you to learn it!” Li Hao rolled his eyes. “Why forget about it? The dao of purification is very useful, particularly for Big Claw. Now you, you can give it a good try. You have no dao meridians since you’re not part of Silver Moon, but since you’re a half step emperor, you can be slightly flexible when it comes to the great dao!”
The group milled around, baffled. What kind of dao was this impressive and why didn’t Void want them to learn it?
Li Hao quickly started disseminating his new dao technique. Based on his definition, this dao was one that led to the heavens!
It was an awe-inspiring descriptor. Although the group couldn’t perceive the new dao that was clearly based on Li Hao’s teaching method, it shouldn’t be too hard if they followed his cultivation method. It was easy to gain a cursory level understanding of something if they didn’t seek to utilize it to verify their dao as exalted emperors.
It took only a moment, but the shadows that were the Sword Sovereign and other seniors sensed what was about to happen and quickly ceased cultivation.
They could stop, but the others didn’t have the chance to do so.
It was only a moment but...
Pffft!
PFFFFT!
Loud expulsions filled the dao universe, as did a putrid stench. Some people’s were much fainter while some were... so intense that it induced vomiting.
Having been prepared, Li Hao had isolated his pocket of space early on. He looked at everyone and ultimately settled on a few ladies with a sigh. “How uncouth!”
“......” The crowd cursed silently to themselves and looked around, red-faced. This was... too embarrassing!
Li Hao looked at one with some confusion. “Director Hou, are there that many impurities within your body? You should look out for yourself. I almost see a thundercloud hanging around you...” 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
Hou Xiaochen couldn’t keep a straight face anymore and glared ferociously at Li Hao.
The young man thought it over and nodded. “That’s right, you were injured before and was sickly as a child. That didn’t improve after you grew up since you kept coughing. So these aren’t impurities, but accumulated disease. However, you stink more than Big Claw! Secretary Yu really does go to a lot of trouble to be able to endure it.”
Yu Luocha hadn’t said a word. She simply glanced at Hou Xiaochen. That was true... her love really did stink! She almost couldn’t bear it anymore.
She flushed beet red when she thought of how she was similar just moments ago. It was like she’d returned to the days of her own youth. She didn’t seem five hundred years old at all.
Li Hao ignored the death glares shooting at him and continued, “This dao is very useful! To be honest, most people don’t have a chance to learn it. Although it isn’t the most pleasing, it’s very effective.
“If someone can cultivate it to an extreme and be free of impurities, then you’ll be spotless and pure, as if immortal jade. This is a path to immortality!”
“If all immortals have to walk this path to reach their heights... then forget it!” The Sword Sovereign couldn’t help himself.
“Now now, you can’t put it that way, Martial Uncle Li,” chuckled Li Hao. “There is no differentiating factor of nobility in daos...”
“But there’s a difference in pungency!” Sword Sovereign snapped back. Thank goodness I held myself in, or I’d be too embarrassed. This was humiliating!
A joint fart from hundreds, almost a thousand people... They’d expelled the impurities within their body, but the results were too fetid. It seemed like the entire dao universe was tinged with their rank smell.
