Star Gate-Chapter 1662: Killing Sixth Ranks (IV)

“They court death!” snarled Bloodlust. “We will break the world of emptiness when we kill them!”

He could see that Void... might really be the crown prince of Light. The man was extracting life from the exalted emperors in the formation and nourishing the flower with it, that bastard!

Void laughed and murmured before the enemies rushed him, “Resurrection and emptiness... Emptiness... is not just the silencing of a world, but its great destruction!”

It was only a moment before the dark world of emptiness exploded with a roar! The entire world fell apart!

Endless strength of emptiness undulated in all directions. The power of death spread far and wide. There was also death when it came to the great destruction, not just pure silence. There was always someone who died!

Only when death and emptiness marched hand in hand was there true destruction!

RUMBLE!!

Darkness descended, all was a murky gloom. All of Orchid Forest seemed to have been pulled into the darkness, one’s outstretched hand could not be discerned through the shadows!

Night had fallen!

The power of darkness!

Void had said that he studied six daos, two of them light and darkness.

“So it is you!” sounded Bloodlust’s voice. His longsword sped soundlessly at Void! So it was the crown prince of Light! But... what of it? He would die all the same since he’d dared cause trouble at Red Moon!

Multiple low ranks started wailing in the darkness. Some could feel their vitality stripped from them, some were spontaneously wounded when emptiness and death covered them. Life swallowed them the next second!

The little flower in front of Void was the only source of illumination. It swayed with particular vibrance and activity. He’d killed multiple low ranks right beneath the noses of the sixth ranks.

Numerous exalted emperors faded away in the darkness after agonized howls. Some recognized Void and called out with desperation, “He is... the crown prince... of Light...”

The power of emptiness and darkness... and a sixth rank! exalted emperor! Who was that, if not the crown prince of Light?

Six red moons hovered into the air, casting radiance onto the world of darkness. They were intermixed with fury, despair, insanity, bloodlust, beguilement...

They turned the entire world into a Red Moon domain!

The six Red Moon exalted emperors had overshadowed the darkness through their joint efforts and even created a domain of Red Moon’s great dao! They completely surrounded the world of emptiness!

Of the seven exalted emperors, six rushed Void. The wandering cultivator Yu Xiu hesitated since he’d recognized the crown prince of Light. He was apprehensive and didn’t dare kill the man. Hence, he set his jaw and ran straight for Li Hao.

While he didn’t dare attempt to kill Void, six sixth ranks would be enough for the man. He would handle the other one!

Li Hao was still calling upon the dao star in his hand. That the wandering cultivators were dying so quickly had much to do with him.

The acceleration of time made these people lose their life force at a pace one hundred, or one thousand times the norm. That was the key for their inexorable march toward death. He could already sense the deaths of eight low ranks.

Li Hao smiled as he watched the sixth rank rush him; he dismissed the power of time in his hands. That wasn’t needed for what was to come.

A sword appeared in his hand and gently danced out. It was only a moment, but multiple dao domains appeared and overlapped themselves in the four corners. Yu Xiu promptly sank into a swamp, like he was enveloped by countless worlds! His expression shifted slightly and he grunted, seeking to punch them apart.

The five elements manifested—water and fire intersected!

Li Hao was hard pressed to handle sixth ranks of major worlds, but was a sixth rank wandering cultivator that strong? He wielded a river of dao at the end of the day and controlled a myriad of daos. He was a premier fourth rank with an imperial weapon in hand.

A wandering sixth rank... not everyone was the Sword Sovereign!

The strength from the river of time manifested, waves swirled and surged!

“Destruction!” Li Hao grunted.

The world fell apart, as if the world domains had been shattered. Armageddon was at hand. Li Hao had no time to spare for Void, he wanted to see how strong the wandering cultivator was!

The sword lashed out again with the power of a myriad daos, ultimately coalescing into a sword of destruction!

The sword rushed forward!

A ray of destructive sword light appeared in the world—the sword descended! The strength of great dao collided!

Li Hao backed away, the immense recoil causing his body to fracture. Yu Xiu’s expression shifted drastically, a bloody mark having appeared on his fist. It spread rapidly as the power of destruction flared. The fist was pulverized in a loud rumble!

The premises were quiet for a split second.

A fourth rank had exchanged blows with a sixth rank. While Li Hao had suffered a bit from the impact, the invincible personage among wandering cultivators had seen their fist shattered with one blow!

“You are... the Silver Moon king!” Yu Xiu’s eyes widened when he realized who he was up against. He knew who both of these people were! One of them was the Silver Moon king and the other was the crown prince of Light!

No wonder they were so formidable. He was a sixth rank, yet had come off slightly worse for the wear from a fourth rank.

Li Hao, however, frowned with displeasure. He was a fourth rank, true, but his opponent was only a wandering cultivator! While he wouldn’t claim to be able to sweep all wandering cultivators with dominating strength, he’d laid his plans for so long and utilized all sorts of tricks for this moment.

Apart from not calling upon the power of time, that light stroke had been the culmination of everything he was. Yet he’d only harmed the other and broken his fist. So he couldn’t even kill the weakest of sixth ranks!

It wasn’t that he was arrogant, but that he was making heavyweights like the Sword Sovereign his benchmark. The young man was actually invincible among his peers from major worlds and could even challenge fifth ranks. Therefore, he should be able to spar with sixth ranks!

It was often a tiresome effort for Li Hao to kill someone. He wasn’t able to be as decisive as the Human King and others because Li Hao always met powerhouses.

But still... it was still a bitter pill to swallow. He’s just a wandering cultivator. Isn’t it humiliating that I can’t kill a sixth rank wandering cultivator?

Void had already erupted with his formidable power of light and had melded all of his daos of the extremities together. When all six daos swept the world, even Bloodlust jerked with astonishment!

Li Hao looked at Yu Xiu again. While he didn’t expect to kill all of them with Void... at the very least, they needed to kill all exalted emperors outside of the Red Moon contingent. Only then would that prove that they had the ability to plan and scheme! That they didn’t need to just hope that the Sword Sovereign’s might would overpower everything!

If that was the case, then only the Sword Sovereign was needed. What use was there for them?

“I’ve invented a move that the fellow daoist can be the first to experience. Would you like to give it a try?” Li Hao had already erupted with the move as he talked.

World domains appeared and swiftly assembled into a net of world domains—a dao net!

Yu Xiu’s eyes widened as he swiftly recovered his fist, bringing another punch down on Li Hao. The young man collected time and accelerated his body, melding three hundred and sixty dao domains into the river and the river into the sword.

With the sword as the frame, Li Hao called upon it and fashioned a crack in it. Domineering strength burst out of it!

The sword of a thousand daos!

With a thousand daos as the sword, the domain as the dao, and the river as the foundation.

“Sever!”

BOOM!

A massive net appeared in the void and draped over Yu Xiu. His face twitched and he sought to land his punch—bam!

The net was faster, however; the punch did not shatter the net. Although Li Hao vomited mouthfuls of blood, he smiled happily and erupted with the power of suppression as he slashed with his sword!

BOOM!

A massive explosion overlaid everything, drawing a glance at the erupting Void. He started at the sight!

Yu Xiu had split into two from top to bottom! The two halves knitted back together at a furious pace; immense shock colored his eyes. Was this person... really just a fourth rank??

Incredulity and envy filtered into his shock. How could that be?? The fourth rank of a major world wasn’t that strong! He seemed to have been suppressed by a myriad of daos in a split second, like a world master had come down on him!

But this was Orchid Forest! Not only the Silver Moon king could do anything without his world. How could he suppress me for that moment??

But it was just one sword stroke, he can’t kill me!

Li Hao’s expression was unpleasant—one sword stroke wasn’t enough! It could help him battle a wandering sixth rank and even occupy the upper hand, but it couldn’t kill the other. It was just like the Sword Sovereign being unable to kill seventh ranks.

But that was the Sword Sovereign! 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

I am not him!

An irate Li Hao abruptly recovered the energy that he’d just depleted and sent the recovering Yu Xiu back into collapse. The longsword reappeared in Li Hao’s hand and he roared, “Sever!”

The second stroke came faster than the first. It took only a split second for it to descend!

Half of Yu Xiu disintegrated, but Li Hao had consumed all of his energy again. The young man glowered some more. It would take three or four blows!

Indeed, he had a basic understanding of things now. He needed three or four blows to kill a sixth rank—a requirement similar to the Sword Sovereign.

The remaining half of Yu Xiu shouted with great panic, “The Exalted Bloodlust Emperor...” He was having a very difficult time at the hands of a fourth rank and might die if the other hit him one or two more times! That was horrifying!

There was no need to consider one’s dignity at a time like this! What kind of face was worth more than one’s life??

But he didn’t need to say anything because one of the exalted emperors mobbing Void had silently made their way over. He was also shocked by the development and quietly appeared behind Li Hao, a massive palm ready to descend upon the young man’s head!

This was the Silver Moon king!

He was just as heaven-defying as the rest! He could challenge a sixth rank as a fourth rank! Even though wandering cultivators were not important, Yu Xiu was still a sixth rank and on the verge of death!

A powerful surge of Red Moon strength flared from his palm. Die! There was no capacity to consider leaving him alive anymore. This person needed to die since he could kill sixth ranks!

The two sixth ranks acted in concert. Although half of Yu Xiu’s body was gone, he set aside all reservations and focused only on his fear and rage. His remaining fist slammed toward Li Hao!

Kill him!

Otherwise, he would live in the shadows for the rest of his life. Being almost killed by a fourth rank would be the humiliation of a lifetime!
