Star Gate-Chapter 1536: Unparalleled Massacre (IV)
Ming Hao was amazed, stunned, and relieved when he saw the young man’s actions. This Hao Moon might really have the ability to kill him. A fifth rank couldn’t do so, but since Hao Moon could instantly turn into a fifth rank, what about sixth rank?
Seventh rank?
Whatever the young man’s limits were, Ming Hao didn’t dare think about them anymore.
After becoming a fifth rank, Li Hao spontaneously picked up speed. A thundercloud hovered over his head at the same time. Borrowing the strength of a fifth rank had triggered a chaos tribulation.
The young man completely ignored it. Using the corpse was making some of its strength to fade away. What if he was unable to access dao chess after that?
Big deal. There were several exalted emperors close at hand. Were the corpses of multiple exalted emperors enough?
If not, he’d kill more!
Would he lack sufficient energy once he killed sufficient people?
He was able to travel much faster as a fifth rank. Normal people wouldn’t utilize their resources this way. The strength of a fifth rank was a lifesaving measure and an ultimate trump card. Pulling out his ace before even seeing the enemy was not the action of a normal person. Yet, was Li Hao a normal person?
He thought so, but clearly, no one else thought the same.
Li Hao sped through the chaos. As a fifth rank, he could vaguely sense someone following them. They were situated a bit far away, but following them nonetheless. Perhaps they’d sensed him—he could not be sure about that.
The young man ignored everything and charged at top speed. Since he’d already triggered a chaos tribulation, he didn’t care about any consequences. The star of time floated up from the river of life and death; the power of time propelled him forward!
He was even faster now and pulled away from his pursuer!
Ming Hao swallowed hard. What kind of strength was this? A kind of dao? Speed? Or something else?
He had no idea. All he knew at the moment was that Li Hao was faster than could be imagined. The young man was faster than some of the fifth ranks he knew—perhaps Li Hao neared a sixth rank’s speed?
It went without saying how dumbfounded the others were if even Ming Hao was gaping with shock. Just what cultivation level was the young man?
......
As Li Hao put on a fresh burst of speed.
Lin Hongyu was beaten back once more. Her eyes brightened, however. That feeling was getting closer. He was coming back!
He should’ve sensed that we’re in danger. As always, he never lets us down. No matter how far away or how difficult, he appears in front of us at first light whenever we encounter danger.
“He’s almost back!” Lin Hongyu roared. Morale swelled among the dejected, heavily injured exalted emperors. Li Hao was almost back!
They were infused with new confidence, even though Li Hao had only been a first rank when he left. The young man didn’t seem like he could change anything, but whether it was Gan Wuliang, Panther, or Celestial Pole, they blossomed with renewed spirits!
He’s almost back!
They’d been resigned to their eventual doom, but now erupted with newfound delight, startling their opponents. Dusk Wind, the one suppressing Gan Wuliang’s river of dao, sneered, “Who are you trying to scare?”
Trying to scare me?
“You’re dead meat!” Gan Wuliang exulted. “The Silver Moon king is coming back!”
“......” His opponent blinked. The hell? Aren’t you guys the Silver Moon king? Who’s in control of the dao universe, if not the Silver Moon king?
Dusk Wind didn’t know what to do with this new information!
In his eyes, this person—or rather these two people—were the Silver Moon kings. Or if it came down to it, the chaos beast was the Silver Moon king and these two were the dao masters. It wouldn’t be a surprise no matter who out of the three was the king.
But now, the dao masters were here and the world master was here, so what was this talk of a Silver Moon king?
I’d believe you if you said the New Martial Human King, but the Silver Moon king? Come up with better bullshit, man!
“The Silver Moon king?” laughed Dusk Wind. “Are you joking? Aren’t you guys the king?”
“Of course not!” roared Gan Wuliang. He flared with the dao of desire and shouted, “We are the pillars of Silver Moon. You who have eyes but cannot see, our king is nigh!”
“......” I’d say it’s more like your insanity that’s nigh! Dusk Wind thrust him back with a palm strike and sneered, “Are you talking about the Sword Sovereign?”
“Of course not!”
“Hahaha!!” Dusk Wind threw his head back with laughter. And here I thought it was the Sword Sovereign coming! Since it’s not, then it’s just another new human.
You masters of dao are just first rank. The master of the world is a second rank. If whoever’s showing his face isn’t the master of the world or dao, then will he even be an exalted emperor??
Dusk Wind wanted to howl with derision. There was no helping it. Common knowledge held that the strongest in a world was either the master of the world or dao master. Since there was no dao master in a mid or minor world, then it was the master of the world that was the strongest.
That was the law!
But now, the newly born Silver Moon had someone else for their king... and their dao masters were only first rank... That was such a joke!
In the distance, Celestial Pole also snorted, “You guys are doomed!”
“None of you will be getting away when he returns!” Lin Hongyu snarled. Even though they knew that Li Hao had only been a first rank when he left, so what of it?
He was always full of surprises!
Since he can rush back so quickly, you guys are all going to die!
Outsiders wouldn’t understand this inexplicable display of confidence. It was similar to how those of New Martial trusted the Human King. But while they placed their faith in the Human King, so did they trust the supreme, Ash Emperor, Sun God, and others.
Meanwhile, those of Silver Moon had eyes only for Li Hao. That was the only person who reassured them.
The attackers couldn’t be bothered to engage these lunatics in conversation.
“It’s good that he’s coming back, we’ll take you all down together!” leered Dusk Wind.
Lin Hongyu’s eyebrows suddenly raised. Li Hao was rushing back at a speed faster than fifth rank. He was already close by and could arrive at any second.
At the same time, Dusk Wind’s brows knit together. He suddenly looked behind him.
There was no one there.
But... unease had crept into his heart. He took another look. There... seemed to be a thundercloud on the horizon. It’d appeared out of thin air. How were there thunderclouds in the chaos?
It was very strange!
A puzzled expression drifted across his face, whereas Celestial Pole and the rest were overjoyed!
This familiar sight was an indication that Li Hao had returned. And of course, with a chaos tribulation just for fun. His entrances were always so unique. Other people either arrived soundlessly or with overwhelming fanfare. But him?
His chaos tribulations showed up before he did!
“Take us all down together?” Soft laughter echoed through the void.
The four attackers whipped their heads around!
Li Hao appeared in the void, along with Ming Hao and ten other exalted emperors. Dusk Wind’s eyes widened when he recognized the rest.
“Senior Ming Hao...”
Ming Hao’s group scanned the premises. What was going on here? Why did Dusk Wind’s opponents feel so... so... clearly much more masters of great dao than Li Hao? They were a legitimate collection of a myriad daos and had formed a river of dao.
It was just, they were so weak.
A new dao universe!
The notion popped into their minds. If Li Hao somewhat resembled coming from one, then Gan Wuliang and the others were clearly from a dao universe.
Their eyes widened. A dao universe? Silver Moon!
Half of a master of dao...
They recalled what Li Hao had said before and started connecting the dots.
Li Hao didn’t say anything. The strength of a fifth rank was still present on him, but a river circulated the world for a split second. “You guys have caused me heavy losses and even wasted a fifth rank’s body! You are unable to pay for that!”
A million stars rose in the river; a longsword coalesced more in the blink of an eye. Its edge was incomparably keen and the star of life and death integrated with the star of time. Of the stunned attackers, the first rank didn’t even have time to run before his thoughts ground to a halt!
He stared helplessly as a sword pierced through his body and dao mark. There was no sign of him left when the river churned past him.
This was the strength of a fifth rank as supplemented by time! A first rank was obliterated within the span of a breath!
The longsword reflected the void—the second rank in front of Celestial Pole paled with horror. He goggled with terror as the longsword repeated its actions, piercing through his body and dao mark!
The second rank also vanished after the river of life and death churned through the area. Two exalted emperors were gone in a heartbeat. The two remaining third ranks were out of their minds with terror.
How could this be?? So this was the Silver Moon king?! And what was going on with Ming Hao and the rest?? Hadn’t they gone to kill Celestial Pole and the Pagoda King’s primary bodies?! Why were they with the Silver Moon king??
“We’ll take care of these two...” The startled Ming Hao jerked to action; his heart was in his mouth. The young man had opened up a can of slaughter as soon as they arrived. His speed boggled the imagination! Ming Hao was a fourth rank, but he was yet to recollect himself from the river of dao.
He quickly professed his attitude, but Li Hao looked into the distance. “There’s no need. Head to the south—there’s a fourth rank Red Moon exalted emperor coming from there. The ten of you will kill him and bring back his corpse! Otherwise, you can contemplate the consequences of your failure!”
Ming Hao’s face twitched. A Red Moon exalted emperor?
“Very well, we will do our best!” He took all of the exalted emperors with him and flew toward the south. A fourth rank? I’m a fourth rank too. Although I don’t come from a major world, there are nine other exalted emperors with me.
It’s just... what’s going on here? Silver Moon has given birth to a new dao universe? That’s incredible!
Dusk Wind’s jaw dropped with horror and his companion looked at him wildly.
“Senior Ming Hao, there is a newly formed dao universe here!” Dusk Wind yelled. “We are willing to help you take it and revere you as the master of great dao. You are certain to rise to the peaks of seventh rank then...”
To be honest, Ming Hao was sorely tempted for a split second. He would have two more third ranks by his side if he joined hands with them. And with the nine exalted emperors in his group... he might actually stand a chance.
That’s a dao universe!
Sweat soaked his back the next second.
