Star Gate-Chapter 1448: The Tribulation Disperses (IV)

Two seventh rank exalted emperors from major worlds had already died in the conflict with New Martial. A whole host of other level exalted emperors had also fallen. Most of the exalted emperors from Elysian Fields and Utmost Dark were dead, apart from a select few that had fled!

Those who’d run would soon become homeless and wandering rogues. They wouldn’t dare linger in the vicinity.

Red Moon had lost only one third rank exalted emperor, so it didn’t feel much from the day’s events. Bone Eclipse’s death had caused a greater uproar than this.

“I’m not sure...” The Red Moon master’s voice continued to boom with magnificence. “The great dao can stretch into the borderlands, but we can’t see much from it. Someone who can kill a third rank exalted emperor, even one newly ascended, will not be from Silver Moon...

“Nether Moon major world is fast approaching us. New Martial’s eruption of activity today is sure to shake the four corners of the chaos. The master considered the candidate for a while and inclined his head. “Approved! But... do not chase them if you exceed the range of the great dao! If you are still within the great dao’s range, do not brashly take action. Observe the situation first before doing anything...”

“Understood!” The powerhouse accepting the mission did so with some solemnity, but was also reassured by the reminder.

He would stay within Red Moon territory and he himself was a fourth rank exalted emperor. Any master of a mid world wouldn’t be able to take anything from him. If he really encountered trouble, they would only dog his footsteps for a moment or two.

The Red Moon master didn’t say anything. The Silver Moon conflict was just a minor scuffle, the important one was New Martial!

The Red Moon master was rather grave; New Martial was stronger than he’d anticipated. The key was that the Ash Emperor and Human King constantly lent each other strength. He needed to be prepared to eradicate both of them at the same time.

Otherwise, with these two covering for each other, the remaining one could get away even if he killed one of them.

Li Hao lay upon the river, unmoving. Thunder and lightning continued to erupt in the air. Number Two was charred all over, but it didn’t make a sound. If it didn’t stand against the tribulation, then there would be no one in all of Silver Moon who could defend against the chaos tribulation.

Silver Moon was still weathering its various calamities. The chaos tribulation continued, that’d only been the ninth bolt.

The demise of two exalted emperors wasn’t the finish line of the disasters they had to face. Gan Wuliang, Hong Yitang, and the rest rushed over in a bedraggled state. Each of them glowered at the situation.

Silver Moon had consumed nearly everything it had to offer to barely take out two exalted emperors. Li Hao’s continual use of the power of time had caused the tribulation to grow stronger. The ninth bolt of the first wave had passed. Number Two did not have the strength to continue, but what was to come next would be even stronger.

Panther may be controlling an exalted emperor’s body, but it couldn’t move it effectively. This body of an exalted emperor was the key to blocking more thunderbolts.

They had a chance of success if they withstood the tribulation that Panther had swallowed. Once the dog moved and broke the isolation effect, that might give rise to more tribulation thunder and lightning. The thunderclouds in the sky were very dense; they could give birth to another wave of nine tribulation thunderbolts.

Celestial Pole flew toward Li Hao; the man was also in poor shape. “Being able to dispel two exalted emperors already exceeds our expectations. And yet, this tribulation is not yet over!”

He looked worriedly at Number Two in the sky, the cat’s fur was a charred, smoking mess. It might die if another one or two thunderbolts struck!

That wouldn’t do!

Li Hao didn’t mind that possibility and looked up at the sky again. He smiled, ‘It’s coming for me and will naturally fade away if I die!”

“Um...” Lin Hongyu bleated with alarm. “Are you going to do it like last time? We just need to reverse time for you and resurrect you again?”

If that was the case, then this was worthy of a try. But would it be that simple?

Li Hao didn’t say a word, he looked at the Star Gate on the side and frowned slightly. “Without the Eight Trigrams Suppression Formation, the Star Gate can isolate us from the chaos, but it won’t last. It will be forced open again soon...

“The ascension of a world means standardizing our flow of time with the chaos. The Star Gate will likely not hold on in that case.”

The group looked at him. What did Li Hao mean by that?

“So you mean that if you die this time, the Star Gate is unable to isolate us from the chaos.” Celestial Pole understood. “If we resurrect you, that will provoke a tribulation again?

Li Hao nodded.

Everyone’s eyes widened with stupefaction. This meant that the tribulation would not end until Li Hao proved that he could weather it! Bringing the young man back might give rise to another tribulation—an even stronger one. These repeated revivals would only ensure that the tribulations never ended!

The group faced even greater trouble after having just eliminated one of them.

“The hell man,” even Celestial Pole couldn’t help but curse. “This broken-down little planet is quite the hassle. It seems like there’s more work involved than a major world rising to a new status!”

“There’s one other idea I have in mind...” Li Hao smiled.

“What?”

“Disperse the power of time!”

“What??” The group stared at him.

“I can dismiss my dao of time!” The young man looked at the sky with a smile. “I’m the one who seized the dao of time, I didn’t come across it through slow cultivation. I can scatter it first, then collect time again! I’ll cultivate time myself!”

Everyone blinked. Was this feasible?

“It’s fine, time is so complicated that I’ve attained some new enlightenment this time as well,” Li Hao exhaled slowly. “I’m going to disperse the dao of time first, cultivate life and death, then yin yang, then space, and finally time!

“In this case, time will be stronger when it appears again!” The young man grinned brilliantly. “Panth, let’s go. Avoid Red Moon major world while I dismiss the dao of time...”

Despite its charred, smoking self, Number Two looked back at Li Hao with reluctance and dissatisfaction. “You can’t...” it suddenly said.

Li Hao exhaled and summoned the star of time. “The senior can hold onto this star for safekeeping and immerse yourself in it. You can return it to me once I cultivate time again...”

He knew why the cat was unwilling. If time dispersed, then there would be no past manifestation anymore.

Number Two blinked, looking at the star. This star was the core of Li Hao’s great dao. Was the young man handing it over just like this?

“You’re just hanging onto it for me,” chuckled Li Hao when he saw the cat hesitate. “I’m not giving it to the senior. Don’t worry, I’ll gather time again soon. I’ll let the chaos tribulation off the hook today!”

The group was immensely resigned. You talk like you’re the one who can determine a win or a loss! We’re all done for if another set of nine bolts arrive!

Scattering time in order to disperse the tribulation was the best choice for everyone.

“Then your strength...”

“It’s fine, I’m still a premier fifth level Fused Dao without time. It’ll be faster for me to ascend to ninth level Fused Dao!” Li Hao smiled. “Time is difficult to cultivate, but regular daos are much easier!”

The group didn’t know how to react to those statements. Much easier? Was that really the case? Perhaps to Li Hao.

“New Martial is certainly formidable.” The young man’s grin grew brighter. “I’ll break through to exalted emperor first, then gather time. I’ll exterminate this chaos thunder and lightning sooner or later, then go find New Martial...”

Power of time surged in the star of time and materialized in various corners of the world. Part of it was annihilated by the tribulation, another part melded into the land. A very tiny amount remained in the star.

Number Two swallowed the star. Just that amount was sufficient for it to visit the past. The power was very weak in its stomach, so weak that even the tribulation couldn’t detect it.

The chaos tribulation quickly faded away in the void.

A massive beast traveled through the chaos universe, Silver Moon world in its stomach as it headed for the far reaches.

Li Hao brimmed with a mysterious presence. He suddenly returned to normal and appeared to be no different from a regular peak half step emperor. There was less of an ethereal air around him and he seemed to be more down to earth.

Celestial Pole had always felt a high degree of pressure when he faced Li Hao, he suddenly breathed out more comfortably.

“You don’t levy as much pressure as my primary body when you lack the power of time. I think I can kill you with one punch!” He abruptly found the young man to be much cuter.

The young man laughed at the nonsensical words. He’d attained new comprehension when he dismissed time. His own power of time had been surface level. Perhaps accumulating it all over again was a good thing.

He would forge his foundations first. The dao of time was too sophisticated for him at the moment. He’d soared to the heavens with one step, making his foundations shaky. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be left reeling from each tribulation thunderbolt.

Once he truly grasped time, that tribulation wouldn't be worth shit!

A river that lacked the power of time also lacked its previous profound mysteriousness. It resembled the river of chaos in the dao universes.

“That’s just as well,” Li Hao laughed when he looked at it. “Looking at these myriad of daos, I suddenly find them very easy to train! I’ll be an exalted emperor soon!”

“......” The world was silent on all fronts. Hong Yitang and Gan Wuliang suddenly felt self-conscious. What did Li Hao mean by that?
