Chapter 150: CH 150: A common enemy
The kids’ escape from the casino base had been meticulously planned and executed, with the help of none other than Jeff, Ajax’s own operative. For weeks, they had been secretly working together, Jeff providing them with instructions and guidance on how to escape. Today, with the chaos and confusion reigning supreme, had been the perfect opportunity for them to put their plan into action.
As the signal was given, the kids sprang into action, taking out the man who served them food with swift efficiency. A quick jab to the neck, and the man collapsed to the ground, unconscious. The kids didn’t hesitate, moving swiftly to mingle with the rest of the arguing crowd. They blended in seamlessly, their presence lost among the sea of people.
Meanwhile, Jeff watched from a distance, his eyes locked on Ajax. He gave a subtle nod, a signal that the task had been completed. Ajax’s expression remained neutral, but he knew that the plan was unfolding smoothly.
The kids’ escape had been carefully calculated, taking into account Anthony’s rare visits to their quarters. They knew it would be a relatively easy task, with the only potential obstacle being the person guarding the door.
But fortune seemed to smile upon their plan, as an uprising was underway, and Anthony had just given the people access to leave the casino. It was as if the universe had conspired to aid their escape, providing the perfect cover for their disappearance. Jeff’s eyes lit up with excitement as he turned to the two kids, his voice low and urgent. "Now’s your chance," he whispered. "Leave as soon as possible."
The kids didn’t need to be told twice. They nodded, their faces set with determination, and slipped into the crowd, disappearing among the throngs of people streaming out of the casino.
Their escape was not without purpose, however. They had a specific task to complete, a mission that they had been given to Jeff to do. And as soon as they reached their master, they would deliver the what was given to them, fulfilling their part of the bargain.
Meanwhile, Anthony was oblivious to the kids’ escape, his mind was preoccupied with the chaos unfolding around him. He had given the people freedom to leave, and most of them were taking advantage of it. The few executives that were left, were also leaving, they were drawn to the promise of a new faction and a new beginning. The thought rankled, but Anthony pushed it aside, focusing on the task at hand.
As he thought about chasing after the kids, Anthony couldn’t help but wish that his power was superspeed. He would have sprinted after them, determined to catch them and bring them back. But his power was different, a brute force that he wielded with precision.
His superstrength was a powerful tool, but it wouldn’t help him in his current situation. He would have to rely on his wits and his resources to track down the kids and bring them back.
As the two kids made their way through the dark night, they navigated the familiar route to their destination with ease. The moon cast an eerie glow over the landscape, illuminating their path and allowing them to avoid the areas where the electricity was down. They moved swiftly, their footsteps quiet on the damaged streets.
Unbeknownst to them, a figure was following closely behind, moving with a stealth that belied their presence. Jeff’s eyes were fixed on the kids, his gaze unwavering as he tracked their every move. He kept a safe distance, careful not to be seen, and continued to trail behind them for about an hour.
As they approached a large building with a imposing gate and a sprawling courtyard, the kids’ pace slowed. They exchanged a glance, and then knocked on the gate, which creaked open with a metallic screech. A man stepped out, his eyes narrowing as he scrutinized their faces. The kids exchanged a few words with him, and after a brief moment, they were allowed inside.
Meanwhile, Jeff watched from a distance, his eyes fixed on the building. "So this is where their master is?" he mused, his voice barely above a whisper. "Amazing," he added, his tone laced with curiosity. He continued to observe, his gaze taking in every detail of the building’s exterior, as he pondered what lay beyond the walls.
According to Ajax, Jeff had been instructed to wait and observe everything that happened until the next day before returning. For now, he was content to watch from a distance, his eyes fixed on the building where Master Tyler was said to be.

Inside the building, Tyler’s anger was palpable. The broadcast from Howard had just ended, and Tyler’s face was red with rage. "Who the hell is this guy?" he thundered, slamming his fist on the table. "How could he have made such a fast move, while I’m here watching all of these weak bunnies fight! I should be the one claiming the world leader position, I’m the most powerful, how dare he decide on himself."
The room was filled with Tyler’s furious shouting, his words echoing off the walls. One of his friends who was also one of his men, Max spoke up, trying to diffuse the tension. "You know, we could just make our own broadcast, there’s no need for the drama," he suggested, his voice measured and reasonable.
Tyler’s gaze turned to the zodiac, his eyes narrowing. "And how exactly do you propose we do that?" he asked, his tone skeptical.
Max smiled, a confident glint in his eye. "Just leave that to me, I’ll find that out," he replied, his voice dripping with assurance.
Tyler’s gaze had then turned to the third person in the room who just remained silent, seemingly lost in thought.
"Hey Lily, what’s wrong with you?" Tyler asked.
She didn’t reply instantly, until about a few seconds later. "Remember I told you guys that I rarely dream, and that when I do, my dreams always come true?"
The two men nodded yes, and then she continued. "Well, I dreamt of someone I shouldn’t have dreamed about. A common enemy of ours." Lily revealed.
"A common enemy? Who?" Both Tyler and Max asked.
"Tyler."
