SSS Class Awakening: Start With A God-Level Choice System-Chapter 106: A Dimensional Gate’s Descent?
Hearing Ainsworth’s suggestion, Rian agreed, "Sure, I also have to meet my family and brag about my Awakener rank and power. I also have to secure my position as the heir of my father’s company and my Awakener rank and SSS-rank class is guaranteed to get that position."
While Dante didn’t speak, he nodded in agreement to express his stance.
Seeing that they all agreed, Ainsworth didn’t say more as he left Edenbridge High’s Mission Center on his own.
He still has to return to his home and inform his older sister Kyla about his successful first Otherworld Mission.
However, Ainsworth didn’t return home yet as he could easily do that with just a single step of his Freedom Of Movement.
Using his Freedom Of Speech (SSS), as well as modifying his charm to that of a sunny boy next door, Ainsworth asked, "Do any of the students here know where Elyndra Celeste Valtoria is? Ainsworth Arthurford is looking for her and if you have any information regarding her, meet me at the school cafeteria."
"I will offer 10,000 Awakener Points to those kind informants."
Ainsworth’s voice wasn’t loud, yet it seemed to resound throughout Edenbridge High. His voice was smooth and lively, like being caressed by the spring breeze.
Even those very perverted fan girls of his had already come when they heard his ASMR-like voice.
As for those who had recently seen Elyndra and knew her information, they immediately headed to the cafeteria. Whether they were moved by Ainsworth’s speech and charm, or the reward he offered, those who knew recent information about Elyndra were compelled to arrive in the cafeteria.
By the time Ainsworth arrived, he had already seen lots of students, even those he didn’t recognize, waiting at the school cafeteria.
When they all saw him, they eagerly asked, "Ainsworth, I know where Elyndra is!"
"Is the 10,000 Awakener Points legit?"
Faced with their questions and the bustling crowd they formed, Ainsworth shifted his charm to that of a cold and indifferent handsome man, as if he was the spirit of winter who descended while it was still summer.
His cold indifference didn’t seem to cause any alienation, but it made him inviolable and sacred as if under his presence, they shouldn’t overstep their boundaries.
With the cold-like aura released by Ainsworth, they all calmed down and waited for Ainsworth’s reply.
Noticing that the lively crowd became quiet, Ainsworth waved his hand and used Ultimate Freedom (SSS) to make countless papers and pens appear as they flew toward the students.
When those pen and paper appeared, the students seemed to be compelled to take it.
When they did, Ainsworth announced, "I’ll give you all 5 minutes. Write down the information you know about Elyndra. You don’t have to manually write it down as the pen will write down the information you thought of into the paper so just hold it and let it write."
"I’ll read the information you all sent and don’t forget to write down your names as I’ll give 10,000 Awakener Points to the five students with the most valuable information."
After Ainsworth gave them his instructions, he then created a golden throne and sat on it, waiting for five minutes to pass. His presence this time was like that of a royal prince who came from a high position, his demeanor noble and magnanimous.
Because of the task Ainsworth gave them, the school cafeteria was quite crowded yet quiet. A weird scene of students writing down information on paper instead of eating occurred in the cafeteria.
However, the school staff like the cook and teachers who were in the cafeteria already knew what happened due to Ainsworth’s announcement before. It was already an open secret that Ainsworth had a crush on Elyndra so they weren’t surprised.
What surprised them the most was that Ainsworth was powerful enough to transmit his voice throughout the entire school. Furthermore, those teachers with relatively high ranks like A-rank Awakener and S-rank Awakener seemed to be confused about why they couldn’t see through Ainsworth’s power.
Because of that, they speculated that Ainsworth was either stronger than them, or he had a skill or item that could hide his power. They were more inclined to believe it was the latter as no matter how talented Ainsworth was, it seemed to be too exaggerated for him to be even stronger than an S-rank Awakener teacher.
Of course, Ainsworth had noticed the sense of mana and aura that those teachers had released as they didn’t bother to hide it. He didn’t mind since their sensing wasn’t malicious.
Furthermore, he had no plans of hiding his true power. To gain the protection and backing of Edenbridge High School, he planned to reveal his true power.
It was inevitable for them to know about his Three-Star A-rank Awakener rank record and that would undoubtedly allow him to become the Rank 1 student in his school year. Not only that, he might even be able to secure the best awakener rank record for the First Otherworld Mission.
If he even managed to fight the current Principal into a draw or even defeat him, he would undoubtedly get the backing of the former Principal who was a legitimate SSS-rank Awakener.
’In the end, all my confidence originated due to my SS-rank Awakener power being enough to deal with most threats. Even my trump cards allow me to escape from SSS-rank and X-rank beings so they wouldn’t be a threat to my life.’
While he was indeed cautious, he wasn’t truly paranoid. There was a line between cautiousness and paranoia as only a paranoid person would even fear the probable existence of an XX-rank being.
If such a being existed, then he could only blame his luck. After all, those SSS-rank Awakeners were still alive so while X-rank beings were possible, XX-rank beings were unlikely to exist.
If he kept tucking his tail and running from threats he couldn’t even predict, what made him any better than a coward?
While Ainsworth was deep in thought, five minutes had already passed.
When the time for them to jot down information had already ended, the students were startled to see the pens disappear and the papers immediately fly away from their tables.
Those papers immediately piled up, levitating in front of Ainsworth.
Using his Codex Eye (SSS), Ainsworth just took a glance at it and all the information jotted down was already received and analyzed by him. In just under a second, they were already segregated in his mind library and he immediately knew the five students who gave the most valuable information.
With another usage of his Codex Eye, he knew which student was which so five cards containing 10,000 Awakener Points appeared on his right. Using telekinesis, he let those awakener point cards fly to those five students as they received them and thanked him.
Ten thousand Awakener points were already a huge sum for most Awakeners as it was what B-rank Awakeners would get in a single Otherworld Mission. Most students weren’t even B-rank Awakeners so they believed Ainsworth was too generous.
As for those students who didn’t manage to get the 10,000 Awakener Point cards, they couldn’t help but envy those five students who did.
After all, even if they didn’t use it to exchange for items or resources, they could still be used to purchase delicious food with ingredients coming from delicacies from the Otherworld!
After Ainsworth obtained the information he wanted from those students, he didn’t bother to say goodbye as he left immediately. His golden throne had disappeared and using Freedom Of Movement (SSS), he teleported outside of his school.
Walking the familiar streets and looking at the clear blue skies above, Ainsworth pondered, ’From the information I’ve received, Elyndra had already started her first Otherworld Mission with Mira and three other girls.’
’From my estimation, they should have started their first Otherworld Mission a few hours after Rian, Dante, and I have started ours. So, they will return a few hours later.’
Since they would return much later, Ainsworth decided to visit his sister Kyla first and inform her about his status. As his only family member, he didn’t want his older sister to worry about his safety and he also wanted to assure her of his current power.
As for the revenge against the mysterious Eye Organization that gouged out his sister’s Divine Eyes of Death Perception, he planned to take revenge against them only when he had reached SSS-rank Awakener power at a minimum.
Ideally, it would even be better if he was at X-rank as that would at least guarantee that he was already a powerhouse that could destroy not just planets but stars.
While Ainsworth was walking leisurely towards the direction where his home was, whistling a tune, he soon noticed the space a few streets away from him become distorted and chaotic.
Afterward, sudden bursts of aura and mana were wantonly released as they surged in waves throughout the entire city.
Even when Ainsworth was a few streets away from the source, his expression couldn’t help but turn solemn as he immediately guessed, "Did a dimensional gate descend?"
