SSS Awakening: Rebirth of the Strongest Vampire God-Chapter 721: My luck is just too good these days!
Seeing that his attack landed, the orange head grinned. Moreover, Damon was also not in a good state at the moment. He was panting and heaving and looked like an almost dead dog dragging itself up the mountain. This only made the orange head more confident.
On the other side, Damon also grinned. Sure, he was caught off guard for a second but that was because he was fully focussed on something else. Also, he did not put his 100% into dodging an attack that was basically just going to scratch him a little.
Thus, on the slopes of the bizarre mountain, two men silently stood grinning at each other. A second passed and then mayhem ensued. "I found you! I can’t believe I actually found you! My luck is just too good these days!" The flamboyant guy did a small chef’s kiss. "I was searching for you, you little bitch. You took us all by surprise back in the battle but dont think you can get away so easily this time."
Damon did not bother engaging the idiot. Time was running out and there was no point in wasting even a second on this guy. He immediately unleashed his poison domain with his strongest cocktail.
The poison domain exploded outward. A murky haze flooded the slope, crawling low along the ground like living fog. However, the orange head only grinned. "Don’t you think we would have an antidote to your poison by now? You really underestimate our alchemists. I will give you an insider tip. You shouldn’t."
Damon did not care. Before the man could finish talking, he sent out his next attack, followed by another attack after that. He did not give the orange head even a moment to process anything, slamming the guy with power-packed attacks one after the other.
Being under so much pressure, it felt good to vent out all of his frustrations and by the time he was done, the guy’s body was already on the ground disappearing into light particles. A kill notification promptly appeared in front of him. However, nothing dropped.
Damon only spent one second to check before he proceeded further up. He did not know how the orange head managed to climb up so easily but he was definitely in a better condition than Damon was.
This meant that others could also manage to do the same if they followed the same method, whatever it was. The guy blurted out some things about alchemists. Perhaps they had some consumables, pills or potions for dealing with this kind of pressure?
Damon did not dwell on it too much. These people all had deep background. They originated from old clans after all, clans with lot of experience with magic, mana and everything related. It was very much possible that they brought with them a bunch of top-tier alchemy recipes when they came to this world.
Damon quickly continued his climb and once again immersed himself in his Blood Extraction skill when suddenly another attack targeted him. This time Damon dodged it completely, ignored the attackers and continued to climb. But it looked like the other party was not willing to let him off so easily.
After the first attack, a few more attacks came his way. He turned around to see dozens of men climbing the mountain at a pace definitely faster than him.
And to make things worse, every single one of them was targeting him.
Damon paused for a moment and then his grin became wider. The important thing here was his own progress and not taking down his enemies. If he simply had one or two enemies, there was a point in taking them down but against so many, he was only wasting his time.
But at the same time, he was happy with this situation. He doubted that any of these idiots enjoyed the mental clarity he was enjoying at the moment. As such, his hands were itching to test many things out. It was good he had live guinea pigs to do so.
While he did want the treasure behind atleast one door, the environment here was also equally valuable.
Damon raised his two hands and blood started swirling in both his hands.
"Dual casting!" Someone shouted.
However, Damon did not stop with that. A third swirl soon formed and then a fourth swirl. The people staring at him did not even know what to call this. The next moment, four powerful attacks boomed drenching the originally ethereal and mysterious mountain slope in a blood bath.
A blood storm clouded everyone’s vision. Blood weapons appeared everywhere and struck down. Blood tendrils erupted from the ground, holding down and whipping their targets. And lastly, blood needles with lightning snaking around them poured from above like blood rain.
Screams rang out instantly. The attackers had been charging confidently just a second ago, but now chaos exploded among them.
Some were slammed into the ground by sudden spikes of blood. Others were dragged down as blood tendrils wrapped around their legs and arms, crushing and restraining them. The pressure of the mountain stacked on top of Damon’s attacks, turning every hit into a nightmare.
Damon did not wait around to see the carnage. He collected the blood essence as he continued moving upwards. Just like before, here as well he could feel the special strands once the essence was pulled into his body.
He once again continued to try and isolate these strands only to fail again and again. But it looked like he was going to get a lot more blood to experiment on today.
Without even turning back, Damon could already sense a lot more people climbing up. They all definitely had a different strategy. They clearly thought preventing him from reaching a golden door was more important than claiming one for themselves.
More attacks flew towards Damon this time from the other side and as he prepared to deal with the new group, a man with a golden mask silently crossed all the mayhem, only sparing Damon a single glance.
