SSS Awakening: Rebirth of the Strongest Vampire God-Chapter 692: A narrow escape
Damon raised the vial to eye level. The liquid inside wasn’t any single color. It swirled, violet, black, and sickly green. The stopper alone was sealed with ancient sigils meant to prevent accidental leakage. La Rocha hadn’t been exaggerating when he mentioned how deadly the poisons in his collections were.
Damon did not know much about sigils and even wondered if he should ask Ellora about the ones inscribed on the vial, but as soon as his consciousness touched the vial, a bunch of information flowed into his mind. It was clearly explained how to handle the vial itself and what sort of poison was inside it.
"That bastard did not tell me anything about this." Damon clicked his tongue. It was a good thing he did not simply open the damn thing and die on the spot. This was because the poison inside the vial wasn’t any ordinary poison. It was called a "Heavenly Sin."
Apparently, it was one of the famous poisons in the multiverse. The more Damon read about it, the more his heart shuddered. The reason why the poison was popular and extremely sought after was because this was one of the few things that could actually harm an Ascended being.
Heavenly Sin.
Damon let the information settle, his grip tightening slightly around the vial. "Something that can harm an A rank... Huuuu..." He exhaled. He immediately put the damn thing in his inventory, getting rid of it.
The other day, Damon was completely shaken up about a B rank expert hot on his trail, finally understanding the staggering gap at the top of the power pyramid. And now, he would have committed suicide using something that could harm even an A rank, and died without knowing what even happened.
Thankfully, he was not the type to rip open something without reading the fine print. Otherwise, he and his entire family would have gone to the reincarnation cycle together, if something like that even exists.
Damon exhaled slowly.
"No wonder that bastard was smiling when he handed this to me."
La Rocha might not know about his poison body constitution, but he damn well made sure that Damon would self-destroy no matter what. Damon was pretty sure that this warning and these sigils were only placed on the vial thanks to the meticulous system contract they both had signed. Otherwise, he would be dead already.
Putting a mental note to be more careful in the future with the guy, Damon slowly retrieved the next poison. Not that he planned to use any. He was not an idiot to be that confident about his poison body. The inheritance was overpowered, but he was pretty sure he needed to complete a couple more cycles to even sniff these types of deadly poisons.
Right now, at most, he could use the poison to surprise attack his enemy. He would have to use an ultimate skill that had absolute defense while doing so. Otherwise, he would also die on the spot, which he did not want to happen.
But then again, absolute defense skills had different grades. Something like Divine Interference, which blocked any attack for a period of 2 seconds, might or might not work against poison. Also, in those 2 seconds, he would have to get the hell out of there. Otherwise, once again, he would be dead.
Damon continued reading about one poison after another while he thought of various ways to somehow use them to his advantage, but in the end, he couldn’t really come up with anything. And just like he thought, none of the poisons were useful to him at the moment.
He could only put everything back into his inventory and let out a sigh. Every time he thought he had the upper hand, the damned bastard somehow one-upped him. Even so... these poison vials were still priceless at the end of the day. Maybe not today, but someday they could truly serve as his trump card.
Letting out a sigh, he put the poison vials away. Damon then spent the next couple of hours training with the guy trapped in his soul while his blood avatars worked on poison analysis. After that, he again decided to head back to the wilderness. He had barely scratched the surface of the Forest of Doom. He needed to venture further inside to gain more.
This time Damon decided to speed up things a bit. He summoned his shadow clones and his shadow beasts and sent them for scouting again. He also did not mess around and finished the fights faster, hunting at a tremendous pace.
The C rank abomination beasts in the outskirts of the wilderness were thinning down at a ridiculous pace under his onslaught.
After a few good hours of fighting and experimenting with his skills, he returned back to the campsite. He had already called for all the six girls and they quickly assembled in the same grotto for another round of meridian opening.
Damon felt as if he could handle two more. He was first looking for Kaelthorn and the Third but they were both busily training. Instead, he called Mallana and Arya over. There was also Erin and Ellora but the two of them had already opened most of their meridians so he decided to prioritize the other two.
He then quickly called them over as well wanting to at least analyze how their pathways looked like. At least Erin’s body would definitely provide him with a lot of new information which could even help him figure out potential new meridians in his body. A body with a partial draconic bloodline was special, no matter how little the bloodline percentage was.
Naturally, Erin was more than willing to help with the process and looking at the others, she was the first to enthusiastically strip down and offer herself to Damon to do whatever he pleased.
Damon rubbed his temples at the sight of the many naked women and a part of him was sure that he was going to be labelled as a huge pervert for doing this but he did not care.
Almost everyone had stepped into the C rank and he wanted to upgrade their bodies as much as possible, as quickly as he could. He did not wish for any of his women to be sitting ducks, weak and vulnerable, especially while he was away doing something else.
Doing something like this for his parents was difficult as they were still pretty much beginners but each and every one of these women had already progressed a lot on their own merit. It would help them a lot if he gave them a little push from his end.
Damon spent the next hour working on the women before he once again set out for another hunt. He was going at full throttle and slaughtered as many abomination beasts as he could get his hands on so the small break in between was also useful for him to relieve some mental exhaustion.
An entire day quickly passed by in this fashion and Damon had already reached the inner regions of the wilderness. The beasts here were a lot more vicious and they had a lot more tricks up their sleeve. His poison was also becoming weaker and weaker against the opponents.
At the same time, another new problem cropped up.
