Spoiled by the CEO after amnesia!-Chapter 79 - 77: Hand Warmer?
Aunt Ping saw the embarrassment on Huo Zhenyang’s face, and hastily said to the family doctor, "Since Miss Jiayi is fine, doctor, allow me to see you out."
The two of them left.
Huo Zhenyang stood up and walked towards the second floor.
Through the ajar door, on the bed, Jiayi’s breathing was even, her eyelashes tightly closed, sleeping sweetly as if a mischievous kitten had finally settled down.
"Master Huo, it’s getting late, do you need me to make the bed in your bedroom to facilitate your rest?" a maid asked cautiously at the door.
"No need, I won’t return to the bedroom today. I will rest here," he replied.
Probably because he saw Miss Jiayi get scared today, Master Huo has decided to stay by her side through the night. The maid nodded, "Yes, Master Huo."
Huo Zhenyang withdrew his gaze from the girl, his expression suddenly darkened a few shades, "What did Miss Jiayi do before she went out today?"
The maid thought for a moment and answered, "After having breakfast with Miss Mu, Miss Jiayi accompanied her to the garden for a stroll. After returning, I saw Miss Jiayi speak a few words with Ayu... then she went out."
Huo Zhenyang had suspected that Jiayi had become jealous after seeing him let Mu Qingran stay, and that was why she had gone out.
Now it seemed there might be more than just that reason.
"Call Ayu here," he commanded.
The man’s tone was icy to the bone.
————
Two hours later, Huo Zhenyang returned to the bedroom.
He closed the door and his gaze fell upon the person in the bed. He saw her furrow her delicate brows, and in her slumber, her petite body jerked slightly.
He frowned, quickly approached, and leaned down to lift her into his arms.
"Mmm, mmm..." Jiayi curled up into a tight fist in the man’s embrace, shrinking into a ball like a Little Kitten, her eyelashes tightly closed, yet she struggled faintly.
It seemed like she was having a nightmare.
One should not carelessly wake someone who is having a nightmare.
His eyes darkened, he leaned down, and his thin lips pressed against her smooth forehead, hoping to soothe the little creature tormented by the nightmare.
Damn it.
Who would have known this little thing’s bodily reactions would be so intense? To the point of convulsing and fainting.
Gradually, under his comforting, her body stopped shaking severely and finally calmed down.
But his thick brows furrowed again.
When his lips touched her forehead, the temperature was a bit abnormal.
Was she running a fever?
It wasn’t too hot, probably a low-grade fever.
His expression quickly grew serious, and he lay her down on the bed.
On the cabinet beside, there were emergency medications left by the family doctor.
Opening the first-aid box, he took out a box of fever medicine, poured a cup of boiled water, and lifted her into his arms again.
"Open your mouth, take the medicine, be good," the man’s voice was low, a stark contrast to the fierce lion from earlier.
Jiayi, drowsy, felt her head heavy and kept her eyes shut.
Seeing that she couldn’t open her mouth in her dazed state, he placed the fever medicine on her lips, took a mouthful of water, and leaned down.
His tongue powerfully yet gently pried her lips apart, the sweet water flowed into her, along with the pill pushed down her throat with the water.
"Mmm... mmm..." She had just had a terrible dream about a frighteningly large lion that roared and pounced on her, as if it wanted to devour her.
Now, the same lion seemed to be...
Licking her?
Uh... but why was it licking her mouth?
What a perverted lion!
Hey, but it’s quite miraculous.
After being licked on the mouth by this big lion, she felt much better, and her head didn’t hurt as much.
She was laid down, and as she lay on the soft bed, feeling the person beside her about to leave, she reached out a hand, her eyes still closed, and subconsciously pulled the big lion back.
"Don’t go."
Her voice was soft.
Huo Zhenyang paused, without hesitation he climbed into bed, wrapped her tightly in the blanket, and embraced her with his arm.
People with a fever tend to feel a bit chill; holding onto this big lion, she felt so warm, not wanting to let go even for a second.
"If you keep holding on this tightly, what just happened... might happen again," he warned her in a low voice by her ear, feeling heated from her embrace.
But she couldn’t hear, merely burrowed deeper into the lion’s embrace.
The big lion was like a source of fire, so warm I just couldn’t let go.
Her little hands clung tightly around his waist, still unsatisfied, sliding downward.
Hey, what’s this? So warm, not just warm but kind of hot...like a hand warmer used in winter.
Who cares, as long as it’s warm.
Jiayi held onto the hot hand warmer tightly and fell asleep contentedly.
Huo Zhenyang felt a bit disheveled and growled in a low voice, "Be good, let go."
"...No. The hand warmer is so warm." She closed her eyes, protesting in a drowsy voice.
He threatened, "Let go of it. Otherwise, it might hurt you."
Her delicate eyebrows furrowed even tighter than his, her cheeks puffed out, looking quite aggrieved, but she refused to let go, "Cold... cold."
Hmph, not even willing to let her use a hand warmer! So stingy.
Finally, he took a deep breath and compromised.
With a tightening of his arm, he enveloped the little creature tightly, as if wrapping a secure blanket around her.
All night long.
He endured the torment, maintaining one position.
And he couldn’t move, because whenever he did, the little thing in his arms would frown and mumble in dissatisfaction.
His neck was stiff.
This little wildcat, was she punishing him in this way?
A hint of helplessness curled up at the corner of his mouth.
In such a position, he held her all night long.
-------------
The next day, Jiayi was awoken by the sunlight shining through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
After a comfortable night’s sleep, the discomfort in her body was gone.
She took a moment to recall all the events from last night.
She had angered Huo Zhenyang, and then he had tied her up and carried her back to Phoenix Villa.
And then—
Her face blushed as she remembered scene by scene.
If she hadn’t passed out, he might have already had his way with her.
"Miss Jiayi, come take your medicine."
Aunt Ping carried in some hot water and medicine as she entered.
"Medicine?" Jiayi looked at the medicine in Aunt Ping’s hands.
"Yes, Miss Jiayi, you had a fever last night. Huo Ye fed you some fever-reducing medicine, and your fever has gone down this morning. However, he made it clear that you still need to take your medicine."
I had a fever?
Suddenly, a flash of memory hit Jiayi.
Oh no!
She had slept in Huo Zhenyang’s arms all night...and, in a daze, with no awareness, she had even held onto that something of his, treating it like a hand warmer—refusing to let go!
What had she done! She wanted to kill herself.
"Huo... where’s Huo Zhenyang?" she stammered.
"He went to the SPA for a massage early in the morning and hasn’t returned," Aunt Ping said with a smile.
"Going for a massage so early?" she wondered.
"Mmm-hmm, Huo Ye seemed to have slept wrong when he came down this morning; his cervical spine was uncomfortable," Aunt Ping nodded.
Her face heated up.
Slept wrong? She had held him all night; it was probably because of her.
But then she pursed her lips again, as if to say he deserved it.
It was karma!
Seeing that Jiayi had finished taking her medicine, Aunt Ping’s expression suddenly turned serious. She cleared her throat and raised her voice, "Ayu, come in, please."
Jiayi was startled. Ayu?
The door creaked open, and Ayu walked in with her head down.
Aunt Ping spoke with a cold voice, "Ayu, isn’t it time you told Miss Jiayi the real situation from yesterday?"
