Spoiled by the CEO after amnesia!-Chapter 1311 - 1289: The Little Pitiful One Survived After All
Nanga belongs to a tropical monsoon climate, being humid and warm with abundant sunlight.
Some of these plants are quite suitable for Nanga’s climate, but others prefer shade and cold, making them less suitable.
Chu Xinyue discussed with several gardeners, classifying the plants according to their types: those that prefer shade and cold are planted in the shaded north of the garden, while those that prefer warmth and light are planted in the southern part.
After a busy time, it was late when Chu Xinyue finally returned to her room, feeling refreshed.
Passing through the first-floor hall, she happened upon Ya Chen and Doctor Han talking on the sofa.
Doctor Han noticed her coming in and smiled slightly: "Finished with your work?"
Chu Xinyue nodded.
Doctor Han gestured to the maid, and they temporarily left.
Chu Xinyue saw Ya Chen stand up, holding a metal cane as he walked over. Feeling inexplicably nervous, she broke the unsettling atmosphere and reported as if giving an account:
"The gardeners have planted the saplings and seedlings. As long as suitable soil is found, these foreign plants aren’t too difficult to grow. For plants that like moisture, they get twice as much water daily, and those that are cold-resistant are covered with a canopy on rainy days. Also..."
"Did I ask you to report on those flowers and plants?" His calm voice interrupted her anxious pace, clearly showing she was grasping for words.
Because she was afraid he’d say something she didn’t want to hear.
She took a deep breath and said nothing more.
"Isn’t it good this way?"
"Hmm?"
"With all the computer radiation, is it interesting? Enough, go upstairs."
She froze.
He wanted her to tend to the plants, perhaps to stop her from spending so much time online?
He couldn’t possibly care about the child in her womb—
Could he have found out she was chatting with a stranger online? Is that why he used this method to stop her?
Impossible... shouldn’t be... unless he installed some spyware in her computer, how would he know? 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
She let out a sigh, realizing she was just overthinking.
In truth, she wanted to ask if he still wouldn’t let her have an abortion, but she didn’t dare.
If there was nothing to worry about initially and mentioning it reminded him, wouldn’t that be worse?
Forget it, better to play dumb.
This rare peace, she didn’t want to disrupt.
If he didn’t mention it, then she wouldn’t bring it up either.

In the evening, when Mr. N came online, Chu Xinyue quickly told him about almost getting caught.
"I was going to see if you were online this afternoon, but I was almost discovered by my family. It gave me such a fright."
At some point, these insignificant daily trivialities had become topics to share with Mr. N.
"Family? Could it be the Prince?"
"No way. Hehe."
Mr. N generously decided not to expose her: "Oh, it seems your ’family’ is quite strict with you. You’re not a three-year-old child, yet even chatting online is forbidden?"
"Well, he’s... a bit of a loner, I guess he’s never chatted online, so he’s somewhat conservative in this aspect."
"Then you still chat with me? Aren’t you afraid your ’family’ will be unhappy?"
"Doesn’t matter. After all, he doesn’t know. Haha. Let’s continue."
...
Before sleeping, Doctor Han intended to visit Ya Chen’s room to report on Chu Xinyue’s situation for the day.
Just as he reached the door, he heard a muffled sound within.
It sounded like someone angrily kicked the table leg.
"What’s wrong with His Highness? Is he having a tantrum?"
Doctor Han turned his head and asked the guard at the door.
"No idea." The guard scratched the back of his head, equally perplexed.

Thanks to Ya Chen’s permission, Chu Xinyue finally had a place to relax every day. She would go to the garden every afternoon to take care of the plants.
The plants were growing well; although there wasn’t much movement on the day they were planted, within a week or two, they started sprouting green shoots in succession.
This afternoon, while Chu Xinyue was in the garden helping water the newly sprouted saplings, the sky unknowingly darkened.
The maid hurriedly said, "It might rain, let’s go upstairs."
Chu Xinyue was already accustomed to Nanga’s weather, glancing at the sky: "I don’t think it will rain for a while, it’s okay, let me finish watering."
The maid saw her insistence and didn’t persuade further but fearing the rain might suddenly pour down, went upstairs first to prepare a spare umbrella.
After watering for a while, Chu Xinyue felt tiny raindrops falling on her shoulder.
She turned back to call the maid but saw no sign of her. Instead, she noticed Ya Chen seeming to have just gotten off the car, accompanied by a guard holding an umbrella, walking along the path toward the main building, presumably going home.
She saw the guard looking at her, whispering something to Ya Chen before they both walked over.
The guard moved the umbrella towards Chu Xinyue, and suddenly she found herself standing under the same umbrella with Ya Chen. Within those few seconds, the rain had intensified.
"Why is the Princess Consort alone in the garden? Where’s the maid?" the guard asked, surprised.
"She might have gone upstairs to get an umbrella for me."
"What a way to do her job..." the guard muttered.
Ya Chen suddenly spoke, "Go get another umbrella."
"Oh, then Your Highness and the Princess Consort can stay under this umbrella for now. I’ll be right back!"
The guard quickly handed the umbrella to Ya Chen and dashed into the house in the rain.
Suddenly left with just the two of them, and sharing an umbrella with him, Chu Xinyue felt a bit uneasy being so close, close enough to smell his faint and pleasant scent.
Under the umbrella, if she didn’t want to get wet, she had to lean closer to him.
But she didn’t quite dare to and instead stepped back a little.
He noticed her retreat and frowned slightly, abruptly raising his hand to grab her somewhat frail shoulder, pulling her back under the umbrella.
Sure enough, her shoulder was somewhat damp, getting wet from the rain.
She gasped lightly and was forcibly pulled under the umbrella, her forehead nearly bumping into his firm chest before she steadied herself, taking a couple of breaths.
Never had she thought she could stand quietly in the rain with him, under the same umbrella.
No, not just her and him, but their baby too.
If one ignored him forcing her to abort, this scene was indeed beautiful.
He sensed her unique, naturally sweet breath, and also noticed her soft body. The events of that night at the Tiss Hotel resurfaced in his mind, overwhelming him uncontrollably, his back heated, unsure if it was rain or sweat soaking his shirt.
Feeling as if he was hit by a spark, he leaned back slightly, moving the umbrella subtly above her head.
To break the awkwardness, he spoke softly: "I wonder if it’s you watering the tree or watering yourself."
In her attempt to water the saplings, she nearly ended up a drenched chicken.
Chu Xinyue glanced at the Acacia Tree seedling beside her in the rain: "This Eardrop Acacia is the weakest; while other seeds sprouted, this one barely moved. The gardener said it might not adapt to the environment and wouldn’t survive, but I didn’t believe it. After taking care of it for a week, it finally emerged, though this little thing was slower than the other saplings, it survived."
