Chapter 1083: Chapter 1061

Si Yuheng pinned her down, leaning close to her ear:

"It’s not like she doesn’t know what kind of relationship we once had. So what if she sees it."

Her face turned pale.

Indeed, everyone knew she was the nameless woman by his side. Even if Vivi saw her future husband like this with her, she would only despise her more.

"Si Yuheng, when will you let Xiaoxiao and me go? You never answered me properly last time." She widened her eyes, suppressing her voice, almost screaming, finally asking the purpose of their meeting today.

She had expected this—he wouldn’t have bandaged her without a reason.

He smirked, "Didn’t I say? Preparing for the wedding is keeping me too busy right now. We’ll talk about it later."

"What do you mean by later? Explain yourself..."

Before she could finish, he pressed his lips to hers.

She widened her eyes but dared not alarm Vivi outside, fearing only more humiliation and embarrassment.

It wasn’t until he faintly tasted blood that he released her: "I’ll say it one last time. Whether you leave, and when, is my decision. You have no say in it."

Enduring her swollen lips, she harshly wiped away the residual blood with the back of her hand. She could withstand the pain on her lips but not the burning in her nose and the warm tears that welled up in her eyes.

He was merely stalling, deliberately delaying.

He intended to marry another woman but never considered letting her go!

How could this man be so selfish?

Did he actually expect to enjoy the best of both worlds?

Did he think himself an emperor with concubines at his beck and call?

If he were single, she might still barely convince herself to stay here.

But now, he was about to become someone else’s husband, so what did she represent by staying here? Would she not become a laughingstock?

Seeing her struggling to contain her tears, a fit of inexplicable agitation and irritation gripped him. He grabbed her by the cheeks, which had noticeably thinned over a few days, and growled, "If you cry again, I’ll have someone else raise Xiaoxiao."

Under his threat, she forcibly stopped her tears.

At this moment, Vivi’s footsteps could be heard approaching outside the bedroom, presumably having looked over her clothes.

"Let me go," she pushed him away.

He didn’t move, still trapping her with his arms, squinting: "Don’t mention going back to the country to me again, did you hear?"

She bit her lip hard, "I got it."

He didn’t quite believe her, staring as if trying to assess her sincerity.

"Let me go! Your wife is about to come in! Aren’t you afraid she’ll see you like this?" she panicked, hearing Vivi’s footsteps getting ever closer, likely seconds away from entering.

He watched her anxiousness with a teasing gaze: "What are you afraid of? So what if she sees it? She’s my wife, and you’re my woman too."

The previous humiliation finally exploded! She didn’t know where she found the strength to push him away forcefully, scrambling up to straighten her disheveled hair and clothes.

Just in time, Vivi entered, pausing at the sight of them.

Liang Anya stood by the bed, breathing irregularly, her face showing a suspicious blush, with several shallow blood marks on her lips.

Vivi sensed something was off, but said nothing, walking to Si Yuheng with a smile, "REX, has the wound been bandaged?"

"Yes," Si Yuheng replied lazily, lightly wrapping an arm around Vivi, appearing the picture of a warm, considerate husband.

Liang Anya clenched her fists, feeling her knuckles creak, as she lowered her head, "I’ll be stepping out now."

Leaving the large, luxurious penthouse room, she walked down the corridor for a few steps, only to see Vivi catching up, calling out to her, "Wait a moment."

She turned back. Vivi’s cheeks were flushed from the kiss, breath a bit erratic, but her eyes were calm now, shooting a sharp look, unlike before, like knives sweeping over her.

She braced herself, "Is there something else?"

Vivi, in her three-inch heels, strolled leisurely up to her, "You were alone in the room with REX just now; don’t think I don’t know what you were up to. You really don’t miss a chance to seduce REX, do you?"

Liang Anya had no interest in arguing, nor in defending herself, "Are you done? If so, I’ll head downstairs."

Vivi, seeing she was being ignored, changed expression, raising her arm and slapping her hard!

A crisp sound rang out, and Liang Anya felt one side of her face go numb, then burn painfully, her ear ringing.

Vivi, still dissatisfied, said, "What are you showing off? I’m his wife. And you, you’re just a tool for bearing children! Do you really think you’re something special?"

There was a bang, the door opened, and the man’s tall figure appeared at the entrance, his piercing gaze fell on the scene in the corridor.

Seeing him alerted, Vivi quickly turned to walk over, "REX, did we disturb you?"

His gaze swept coolly over the two women, "What’s going on."

"Nothing, I was just talking to Miss Liang. It’s fine now."

Si Yuheng glanced at Liang Anya, his gaze falling on her slightly swollen red face, clearly marked by a handprint.

Vivi was anxious, fearing Si Yuheng would be displeased.

Until Si Yuheng’s voice broke the silence, "If it’s nothing, then why are you still here?"

His tone was like the moss in a summer corner: cold, devoid of warmth or any sign of emotion.

Those words were directed at Liang Anya.

Vivi breathed a sigh of relief.

He acted as if he hadn’t seen the slap print left by Vivi on her face, clearly standing up for his future wife.

It was as if a needle had been driven into Liang Anya’s heart, stabbing her harder than Vivi’s slap.

She numbly turned and headed for the stairs.

Soon, her figure disappeared around the corner. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

Vivi took a deep breath, looking pitifully up at Si Yuheng, "REX, I thought you’d blame me. I’m sorry, I won’t do it again next time. I just got anxious when she talked back to me."
