Splitting the Heavens-Chapter 919: Twin Void Marsh, Five Peaks Ridge, Millstone Mountain, Three Footed Peak
Chapter 919: Twin Void Marsh, Five Peaks Ridge, Millstone Mountain, Three Footed Peak
...
Time passed in the blink of an eye and the Spirit Abundance World’s invasion ended more than 3 years ago.
Since the time the world started its ascension, many things have changed. Even though the ‘Jiao Continent’ was referred to by the same name, it was far from what it was...
Due to the battle between the 3 Martial Void Realm experts, the Jiao Continent had been torn to shreds.
In the time that passed, the world gradually recovered and if they only considered the surface area of the Jiao Continent, it was much larger than right after the invasion. Unfortunately, the intense energy fluctuations and chaos made it a place not many people would want to hang around in.
The terrifying aura surrounding the continent was starting to weaken as time passed, and there were people who were returning gradually. It was especially so for weaker experts as they couldn’t feel the frightening energy in the air.
The energy that was contained in the Jiao Continent was extremely interesting considering the fact that only experts in the Martial Extermination Realm or above could feel its presence. It didn’t affect the lives of anything under the Martial Intent Realm at all...
Due to the strange properties of the energy shrouding the region, many strong experts found it a challenge to enter. They used all sorts of methods to enter the Jiao Continent. Risking their lives, they wanted to get to the bottom of the strange energy it contained.
The more the terrifying energy weakened, the more people set their sights on a massive marsh contained inside the Jiao Continent. Many explorers who ventured into the Jiao Continent in the past called it the Twin Void Marsh. No one knew where the name came from, much less the reason behind it.
A year after the experts of the Spirit Abundance World left, the marsh was discovered. Back then, no one had the guts to step foot into it.
With the exception of the dangers that could be seen on land with the massive craters and giant abyss carved into the earth where lower-leveled cultivators might fall and die, there were regions of twisted space and spatial cracks that would catch one off guard. If someone ran into a region like that, their bodies would be torn to shreds before they knew what was happening.
Of course, there were some cultivators who were as lucky as they were ballsy. They managed to find an opportunity in the marsh and their cultivation soared. Another layer of mysteriousness was added to the Twin Void Marsh just like that.
2 years after the experts from the Spirit Abundance World left, Martial Intent Realm experts started to venture into the Twin Void Marsh and there were even Martial Extermination Realm experts who sealed their cultivation in order to explore the region. freew(e)bnove(l)
3000 miles away from the core region of the Twin Void Marsh stood a strange mountain ridge... It was 50 or so miles across, and the mountain peaks across the ridge were weirdly around the same height. The ridge looked like 5 massive pillars that stabbed deep into the ground, and there was a massive mountain in the middle of the 5 pillars that stood taller than any of the other 5. The entire ridge was eventually given the name ‘Five Peaks Ridge’.
If anyone stood at the bottom and looked up, they would realize that the middle peak looked strangely like a circular pillar that was split into 2 different levels. There was a clear distinction between each level and it greatly resembled a grindstone. It was eventually given the name of Millstone Mountain.
As the Five Peaks Ridge and the Millstone Mountain were massive, one would be able to see it the moment they stepped into the Twin Void Marsh.
3 years after the experts from the Spirit Abundance World left, cultivators finally made their way to the top of Millstone Mountain.
At the very top lay a flat region where 3 strange Greenstone hills met. They were called the Three Footed Peak by those who discovered it. The terrifying energy that shrouded the Jiao Continent was starting to fade and even Martial Extermination Realm experts were able to travel through the Jiao Continent without the strong feeling of oppression. They were the ones who arrived at the top to discover the Three Footed Peak.
When they tried to climb it, not a single expert at their level could do it. They couldn’t even climb 3 feet up the Three Footed Peak!
By then, those with better senses could guess that the Three Footed Peak wasn’t actually uninhabited. They also discovered that in the years that passed, not a single expert from the important Holy Lands, Elysiums, and the Tongyou Institution could be seen in the region. fr eewebn ovel.com
Those who could think of something like that started to feel an urge to leave. They might not be planning to leave the Jiao Continent completely, but they were sure as hell not going to remain anywhere near the ridge.
There might be people who had guesses as to what was going on, but that didn’t stop the Three Footed Peak to continue attracting people. As news of the Three Footed Peak started to spread, there were even more experts who came to try their luck. There were even rumors going around that the Three Footed Peak possessed a massive opportunity for those who could climb it. It was said that anyone who managed to lay claim to that opportunity would be able to step into the Martial Dipper Realm easily. In fact, there were even legends going about that one could enter the Martial Void Realm if they successfully climbed it!
...
Shang Xia, who had been in seclusion for 3 years, finally opened his eyes and awakened from his deep slumber.
“I thought that it was over after they suppressed Dugu Yuanshan... They threw me the task of continuing to seal him here... Motherf... 3 more years passed and the more I think about it, the more I feel like I’ve been scammed by Patriarch Kou and Liu Jingsheng!”
“The Divine Soul of a Martial Void Realm wouldn’t be exterminated so easily! It has only been 3 years, but all my attention was placed on grinding it down while keeping him sealed! Whatever... It looks like a success anyway.” Shang Xia mumbled to himself as he got to his feet in the Stellar Cauldron. He released his aura as a massive gong filled the cauldron. Intense shockwaves started to fill the space contained within as the earth around the cauldron started to rumble. It brought about loud cries from outside.
“What?!” A trace of confusion flashed across Shang Xia’s face as he quickly extended his divine will. He quickly discovered what had happened.
“This... Twin Void Marsh?! Five Peaks Ridge?! Millstone Mountain?! Three Footed Peak...” Rubbing his chin slowly, Shang Xia mumbled to himself, “Interesting... Looks like they’re taking this as a land of opportunity...”
