Splitting the Heavens-Chapter 2081: Fifth Spirit World
The heavily incomplete advancement formula made it crystal clear for Shang Xia. The only clue to completing the formula was to first gather the origin qi from the eight forbidden regions across the eight Star Regions.
Moreover, judging from the four kinds of origin qi he had already collected, the remaining four were by no means as simple as merely absorbing some energy. The energy needed to mix with that in the Chaotic Sea of Stars, forming its special properties.
However, there was at present a matter even more pressing than that. Since someone had silently opened a gap in the seal, the energy leaking from the Illusory Sea of Stars had already begun to corrode it.
In that case... Could the experts sealed on the other side have taken the chance to sneak through?
Or perhaps, with the aid of the one who had secretly sabotaged the seal... They might have already slipped across!
Even Shang Xia himself could not be certain. After all, the Illusory Sea of Stars was famous for its elusive movements. If one wished to discern clues from the formation alone, it truly required Chu Jia to come in person.
Shang Xia made a round of inspection around the sealed space. In the process, he also discovered Sage Yu Kun, who was patrolling the area.
He discovered Yu Kun, but Yu Kun, who was a mere step away from becoming a mid-level Sage, failed to feel his presence.
Meanwhile, the massive fleet that had returned to the Chaotic Sea of Stars, having gathered countless survivors from Essence Yue Heavenly Field, had drawn the attention of all the surrounding Heavenly Fields shortly after entering the Heaven Observation Star Region. Along their journey back, scouting vessels from various worlds occasionally appeared, observing the fleet from afar, gauging its strength, but none dared to approach.
After all, the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field was no stranger to them all. They had two Sages and were ranked as the second strongest Heavenly Field in the Star Region.
There was also an extremely scary existence called Shang Xia, who was a high-level Sage and was considered second only to the Star Origin Lord among the Sages in their Star Region!
When Shang Xia returned from the region around the Void Mirage, the Star Ships from the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field that had come to meet them merged into the fleet. Upon returning to the Spirit Ark, Shang Xia discovered the True Immortals of the Essence Luxuriant World who came to pay their respects. These two, however, were not from the Tongyou Institution but from the Yuanchen Sect and Heavenly Star Palace. His External Avatar was the one receiving them
Both of them had newly advanced to the Martial Void Realm, and they could naturally not discern that the figure before them was merely an External Avatar. On the contrary, a few offhand pointers from Shang Xia’s External Avatar on their cultivation stirred them to unrestrained excitement.
The management of the fleet was certainly not something Shang Xia needed to worry about. After reporting their matters to him, the two were received by Sun Haiwei, Chu Jia, and the others. Eventually, they took their leave.
When they left, Shang Xia’s true body also appeared in the cabin.
"New True Immortals from the Yuanchen Sect and the Heavenly Star Palace?" Although Shang Xia needed only a thought to know the thoughts of his External Avatar, he still preferred to exchange information via ordinary dialogue, as if showing a form of respect for himself.
"Yes!" His External Avatar smiled and replied, "They carried suggestions from the various sects, and also wished to learn from you how the survivors of the Essence Yue Heavenly Field would be arranged."
At the comment, Shang Xia laughed. He didn’t even ask how his External Avatar responded. Instead, he raised his brow and asked, "Their suggestions? Forget it. Did Patriarch Kou say anything?"
His External Avatar wasn’t surprised at Shang Xia’s question. Instead, he slowly explained, "The major sects hoped to delay resettling those survivors into our world. As for Patriarch Kou... He didn’t care too much about it."
Shang Xia nodded in acknowledgment. "It seems that the patriarch’s cultivation will not have any qualitative breakthrough in the near future. Whether establishing a 35th continent in our Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field or creating another Spirit World in our Heavenly Field... It wouldn’t help him much."
Shang Xia’s External Avatar agreed. "That’s what I thought too, so I granted their request. After all, the survivors would rather build a Spirit World with the world fragments they retain. That way, they would be able to preserve their strength to the greatest degree. Otherwise, once they entered the Essence Luxuriant World and were assimilated by its will, many of the high-level cultivators among them would see their cultivation regressing over the coming years. It might take decades or even centuries before they can recover."
Shang Xia grunted once before he continued, "Judging from the current situation, we truly do need more immediate combat power. And given the maturity of the 34 continents and Elysiums in our Essence World, it would not be a problem to increase the Spirit Worlds in our Heavenly Field. Even if we form a fifth... Or even a sixth Spirit World, it would not be a problem!"
Revealing a look of regret, his External Avatar continued, "Unfortunately, although many survivors were brought back from Essence Yue Heavenly Field, the world fragments are weak. I fear they may not be enough to assemble a completely new Spirit World."
Though the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field had already built an Essence Ark, the 'Luxuiant’, Shang Xia had set out on this journey in secret, unaware he would return with such a massive fleet. At the start, only a single Spirit Ark, the Azure, had accompanied him.
Later, at the edge of the Chaotic Sea of Stars and the boundless void, he had taken in the Blizzard Pirates led by the Cai siblings. In their fleet, two more Azure Arks had been added to the grand fleet. With the survivors of the Essence Yue Heavenly Field, yet another Spirit Ark and two more Azure Arks were taken in, each filled with world fragments of their worlds.
Unfortunately, even with two Spirit Arks and four Azure Arks fully loaded, the accumulated fragments were still insufficient to construct a brand new Spirit World. However, they were more than enough to create a proper Azure World.
Yet because the Spirit Ark carried a world fragment of the Essence Yue Heavenly Field itself, a lingering trace of their World’s Will was present. They would be able to easily integrate the world fragments of the other worlds of the Heavenly Field, and it was entirely possible to establish a firm foundation for a new world that would eventually ascend into a Spirit World.
Naturally, keeping the remnant World’s Will of the Essence Yue World was Shang Xia’s doing. Though the Beast Tide had devastated the Heavenly Field, Shang Xia managed to keep a trace of it under the noses of the rank seven beast emperors without anyone noticing.
As for the name of the new Spirit World... It was decided for it to be named the Azure Yue World when it would be just established. After its ascension, it would be named the Spirit Yue World. After all, the name of their world was determined by the World’s Will itself. Since they maintained the lingering World’s Will of the Essence Yue World, its name was basically already determined.
