Splitting the Heavens-Chapter 2078: We Go Yeet
Both the Rongyue Pirates and Kuigang Pirates had a super Star Ship at their helm, and their medium Star Ships made up a total of 25 vessels.
However, after enduring two rounds of concentrated fire from the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field’s fleet’s battle formation, only ten medium Star Ships were left, and they fled in disgrace.
This level of devastation not only left the high-ranked figures of the two super Star Pirate Groups, who were still watching from the edge of this stretch of void, dumbfounded. Even the elite cultivators of the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field, the former members of the Blizzard Pirates, and the experts of the Essence Yue Heavenly Field who had joined later all felt as if they were in a dream.
In truth, the ten remaining medium Star Ships of the two giant pirate groups still counted as a powerful fighting force. If they chose to counterattack, even just messing with their enemies and poking at the side, they could have tied down several of the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field’s medium Star Ships.
Yet the two previous volleys had shattered their last shred of fighting spirit, leaving only the thought of escape in their hearts. Moreover, the drastic change in the tactics of the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field’s fleet had not only destroyed the confidence of the two super Star Pirate Groups, but the other groups attacking from other directions were also deeply shocked. They suddenly pulled back rapidly, stopping their ferocious offensive for fear of carelessly repeating the mistake of the Rongyue Pirates and Kuigang Pirates. That too, won the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field’s fleet a precious opportunity to readjust their formation.
Under Chu Jia’s control, the hemispherical formation broke apart in the blink of an eye, and more than 20 transmissions were immediately sent separately to the ears of each True Immortal commanding those ships. No two received the same order.
Perhaps because the shock from those two rounds of concentrated fire had been too overwhelming, the cultivators of the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field’s fleet regained their composure as their confidence returned. Chu Jia’s efficiency in redeploying the battlefield was greatly enhanced.
As they advanced, many of the True Immortals on board realized that as they started to split up, they were dispatched in different directions to resist the attacks of several other Star Pirate Groups. Yet the two large Star Ships personally commanded by the Cai siblings suddenly disappeared, and throughout their exchanges, no one ever noticed the whereabouts of the Chasing Wind and the Welcoming Snow.
At that moment, no one pursued the question of where the two large Star Ships had gone. After the overwhelming ambush that had crushed the two super Star Pirate Groups, no one harbored any doubts about Chu Jia’s command. In their eyes, the two large Star Ships had certainly once again become Chu Jia’s trump card, ready to deliver a deadly blow at the crucial moment.
The truth was exactly as they had guessed. In the subsequent operations against the other Star Pirate Groups, the Chasing Wind and the Welcoming Snow behaved like two enormous ghost ships, using the fleet for cover to appear unpredictably, then seizing vulnerabilities to launch fierce strikes when the enemy had no defense. Once that was done, they withdrew with composure before the other side could react.
Setting aside how two large Star Ships managed to fight like assassins, the mere fact that the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field’s fleet could conceal the movements of both large Star Ships so perfectly that no other faction perceived it was enough to make every opponent’s heart grow cold.
“It’s their Grand Stargazer! They’re using the starlight within the murky void to conceal the tracks of the two large Star Ships while also blinding our sight and divine soul perception! Of course... The Formation Grandmaster in their fleet skilled in coordinating battle formations should be working closely with their Stargazer!”
The person who spoke was Qian Sanfu, the chief of the Dongfu Pirates, one of the four super Star Pirate Groups taking part in the raid. He was no pushover. He was a high-level True Immortal himself.
“Grand Stargazer... They have to be survivors of the Heaven Observation Sect!” The chief of the last of the four super Star Pirate Groups, the Yinlie Pirates, looked at his fleet in the distance that failed to make much progress. Instead, the Cai siblings had caught an opening and wiped out one of their medium Star Ships, and in passing had crippled another to the point it wouldn’t be able to fly again.
“That Grand Stargazer did far more than merely destroy the tunnels we built in the void. He is also using his art of stargazing to interfere with the course of the rest of our fleets. Otherwise, if the Rongyue Pirates’ flagship could force its way through the void to arrive, there is no reason my super Star Ship shouldn’t be able to come!” A dangerous light flickered in Wei Yin’s eyes.
“This isn’t going to be an easy battle...” Qian Sanfu grunted softly.
“Mm?” Wei Yin jerked his head toward the Star Ship where Qian Sanfu was and frowned.
Wei Yin knew very well that even though they were both chiefs of super Star Pirate Groups, and were also backed by a Sage of a Heavenly Field, not all super Star Pirate Groups were the same.
Before becoming the chief of a super Star Pirate Group, Wei Yin had already been a very famous leader of a large Star Pirate Group in the Chaotic Sea of Stars. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
Later, he had been subdued by the Sage who was backing him now. With the assistance, his Star Pirate Group quickly expanded to become the current Yinlie Pirates.
Although, during its formation, many core elites from the Sage’s Heavenly Field were brought in, the position of chief had remained firmly in his hands.
Even so, Wei Yin understood that he was merely the blade that the Sage had placed in the open, a trusted tool of the Heavenly Field, nothing more.
Most of the time, he acted under orders. He could not inquire into the reasons behind the Sage’s order.
By contrast, Qian Sanfu of the Dongfu Pirates was a different case altogether.
Qian Sanfu himself hailed from the Heavenly Field and was even the Sage’s disciple in his early years. He was eventually ‘kicked out of his sect’, heading out to establish a Star Pirate Group, but anyone could tell what the real reason was. He naturally had harder channels than Wei Yin, and he could also communicate with his ex-Master.
Seeing Wei Yin’s expression, Qian Sanfu did not conceal anything. “Another Sage from the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field had come. It’s Sage Shang’s clone...”
Wei Yin frowned and asked bluntly, “A clone? Is it just an ordinary clone?”
Qian Sanfu sighed softly, “ It is an avatar with combat strength of a third star Sage. That’s what Sage Shang calls an External Avatar, and his External Avatar has long been sitting in command with the Invincible Pirates.”
“Third star?! Sitting in command of the Invincible Pirates?!” Wei Yin instantly seized upon the key to the so-called ‘External avatar’s peculiarity.
Even so, he still felt there might be some exaggeration to the strength of the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field. After all... Even if they had two Sages, there were at least four Sages backing the four super Star Pirate Groups on their side!
Qian Sanfu seemed to guess what he was thinking and snorted, “In the earlier contest among the Sages, the four of them failed to gain the slightest advantage over Sage Shang’s true body!”
Wei Yin shuddered instantly.
