Chapter 1629: Fifth Star Chart, All’s Good! Pt.4

"How could there possibly be Star Beasts here?” Shang Xia's divine soul swept through the surrounding void instantly, confirming there was absolutely no presence of chaotic streams within thousands of miles.

Charging out instantly, Shang Xia’s External Avatar fought off 2 of them at once. Fighting 2 massive Star Beasts at once, he sent them flying with a single blow.

On the other side, Yan Ming was also resisting the offensive of 2 smaller Star Beasts. She barely managed to hold her own.

During the entire process, Shang Xia didn’t lift a finger. In fact, he simply watched as Yan Ming fell under distress. He evidently preferred to use the opportunity to hone Yan Ming's combat skills, allowing her to delve deeper into understanding and mastering her martial intent while also building a solid foundation for her future ascension to the Martial Void Realm.

After Yan Ming forced 1 of them back, she caught her breath and snapped somewhat irritably, "Star Beasts usually live in the chaotic streams, but that doesn't mean they can't roam through the sea of stars. Hey! Since there’s no chaotic streams or hidden worlds nearby, aren’t you going to help?”

As she spoke, the void thousands of miles away rippled like water. Another massive Star Beast that was of the fifth rank emerged and immediately locked on to Yan Ming.

Shang Xia ignored Yan Ming's call for help and the imminent third beast joining the attack. Instead, he focused on the still-rippling space 1,000 miles away and asked, "Can you trace them from the spatial disturbance to track their nest?”

When she was still gasping for breath, the third beast charged at her. She was extremely annoyed by Shang Xia’s indifference.

I can’t even deal with the danger before us. How can I care about finding the Star Beast Nest?

Although she understood that Shang Xia was probably using the Star Beasts to hone her combat prowess, knowing was one thing. What she felt when he actually left her hanging in danger was another. Not to mention his occasional comments ringing in her ears.

Yan Ming decided not to speak further and concentrated on fighting off the combined attack of the 3 rank five Star Beasts.

She couldn't even resolve her own crisis, let alone search for the Star Beast Nest.

Looking at her, Shang Xia simply smiled. He didn’t seem to think she would be in actual danger.

Just then, sensing the right moment, Yan Ming suddenly initiated an attack. The dim starlight filling the void seemed to be drawn to her like swallows to their nest, causing the faint stars in the deep space to momentarily shine brightly as they were attracted to her.

The 3 rank five Star Beasts, lacking intelligence but possessing strong survival instincts, sensed the impending danger and immediately tried to turn their massive bodies in the void to distance themselves from Yan Ming.

However, Yan Ming, who had finally found an opportunity to counterattack, was not about to let them escape easily.

Instantly, majestic starlight gathered around her dantian. They formed 3 powerful starlight arrows around her which shot at the Star Beasts.

Piercing through the void in an instant, they caught up with the swiftly dodging beasts.

One of them stabbed through the head of a beast before traveling through its body and exploding out the back. It created a barrel-sized hole, killing it almost instantly.

Another managed to twist its body in time to avoid the fatal headshot, but it couldn’t evade completely and bloody holes appeared on either side of its body. Blood sprayed out like fountains.

The beast let out a miserable howl as it tried desperately to flee. Unfortunately, it started to slow down, and its howls grew weaker.

Shang Xia watched clearly from the side. The starlight arrows did more than just penetrate; after entering the beast's body, they began to break apart into smaller arrows that stabbed in various directions around the beast, turning its insides into a complete mess despite it looking like a tiny wound.

The last beast, perhaps because it was the first to flee, was the furthest from Yan Ming. Sensing it couldn’t escape the terrifying threat, it turned to face the arrow. Swinging its tail, it prepared to strike at the arrow.

Stabbing through the tail, Yan Ming’s starlight arrow still entered the beast’s body. It trashed violently, and it actually tore off a quarter of its tail that contained the most concentrated power of starlight before it turned to flee.

As blood sprayed through the void like rain, starlight arrows fell on the discarded tail, turning it into a bloody mess.

It would have been the perfect moment for Yan Ming to follow up and capitalize on their injuries. However, she used too much energy and was exhausted. She didn’t have the strength to hunt down the second beast who was on its last breath, much less pursue the last.

Watching the third beast getting further away, Yan Ming turned resentfully to Shang Xia, who still appeared unconcerned. She huffed angrily, "Aren’t you going to take action?"

Shang Xia glanced at her and smiled. "Don’t worry, it won’t get away. Reinforcements have already arrived!"

"Reinforcements?!" Yan Ming turned around, puzzled, looking into the surrounding void...

Where could the reinforcements be coming from?

Before she could turn back to question Shang Xia, the body of the beast who was furthest away exploded.

To Yan Ming's astonishment, the silhouette of a large-scale Star Ship emerged from the void where the beast had fled. On the bow, a fatty stared in their direction. Turning around, he seemed to give some orders before rushing straight at Shang Xia and gang.

"Zhu Nang? His timing is impeccable!"
