Chapter 4

Xu Bai felt the pain in his right arm and looked at Liu San in shock.

This was very wrong.

This was not Liu San.

Xu Bai had always thought of Liu San as a scoundrel with a shifty face and shifty eyes. He was nothing more than a sewer rat.

But the Liu San standing before him?

He was wearing a white hospital gown that looked a little tattered. His face looked vicious, an expression that did not match his image at all. There were even traces of blood at the corner of his mouth.

The first thought Liu San gave Xu Bai was that he was a cannibal.

Good heavens.

The sewer rat had turned into a man-eating rat?

Xu Bai looked at the corpse lying on the floor behind him. He had to think quickly. Then, he looked at Liu San again…above his head!

[Name: Liu San (Xiao Jingtian)]

[Level: 10]

[Realm: First Class Warrior]

[Familiarity: Enemy]

[Status: Being seized!]

[Remarks: Because he committed countless crimes and was killed, his soul accidentally fell here. A fugitive who came from the Great Desolate World, he is currently possessed.]

Xu Bai was dumbfounded. The remark alone was enough on its own, but the level and the class? There had to be a mistake.

What did the system even mean by a fugitive who had just come from the Great Desolate World? And what the hell was this possession? This had to be a mistake. Could there really be another world? Xu Bai could not help but wonder.

Liu San frowned at Xu Bai. Then, a devious smile replaced his frown. “No, I’m mistaken. It’s a rookie who accidentally touched the threshold of cultivation.”

Xu Bai frowned.

“Wha…”

“Collapsing Mountain!”

Xu Bai was just about to say something when Liu San let out a furious roar. Before Xu Bai could even react, Liu San was in front of him, his right hand clenched into a fist, and he punched.

“Damn!”

Liu San’s swung his fist, but as he did, Xu Bai bent down and counterattacked.

Bang!

Xu Bai punched Liu San’s waist, then bending down, moved behind Liu San. He grabbed Liu San’s left hand from behind and leaned against Liu San, straightening his back and tightening his arms.

Boom!

He threw Liu San over his shoulder and smashed him onto the floor.

In the next second.

Xu Bai ran towards the pistol that had fallen to the ground.

With a gun in hand, it didn’t matter if he was a Martial Apprentice or not. He just needed one shot. If one shot was not enough, then he would just use two.

He had enough bullets.

But…

Just as Xu Bai’s hand was about to reach the pistol, a roar came from behind him.

“Be careful, Master!”

“Get lost.”

“Bang!”

Shocked by Liu San’s appearance, Su Meng watched as Liu San quickly stood up and dashed toward Xu Bai the moment Xu Bai picked up the gun. When she came back to her senses, she kicked Liu San, who had a vicious look on his face.

But…

Su Meng’s whip kick did nothing to Liu San. Instead, Liu San grabbed Su Meng’s belt and flung her away, roaring as if he was throwing a stone.

Su Meng’s back hit the living room wall with a thud. Then she crashed heavily onto the sofa under the wall.

Ah!

Su Meng was hurt.

The moment Xu Bai felt movement behind him, he rolled to the side and stood up instead of reaching for the gun. He looked at Su Meng, who was clutching her back in pain on the sofa.

“Su Meng.”

“The lackey of the government.”

Liu San, who was originally 1.65 meters tall and as thin as a hemp pole, was now exuding a savage and dangerous aura. He picked up the pistol on the ground, and then, as Xu Bai watched, he twisted the pistol as if it was a plastic toy. “All of you deserve to die!”

Liu San dropped the now useless pistol to the ground.

Xu Bai looked at the piece of metal that had fallen to the ground. It could no longer be called a pistol. His mouth wide open, Xu Bai could not believe what he just witnessed. It was not possible.

Xu Bai looked at the twisted pistol on the ground and quickly scanned his surroundings.

“How unlucky.”

“What?”

Xu Bai came back to his senses, got into a fighting stance, and looked at Liu San warily.

Liu San’s lips curled into a sinister smile. Drool from the corner of his mouth dripped onto the floor.”I had thought that I would have time to settle for a few days after coming to this world. I didn’t expect that you government lackeys would come knocking on my door.”

Xu Bai frowned.

“What do you mean just…damn”

Before Xu Bai could finish his sentence, he saw Liu San rushing toward him without waiting for him to finish his sentence. He couldn’t help but curse and quickly dodged.

“Collapsing Mountain!”

Liu San roared and threw a punch, seeing Xu Bai do the same counterattack. A glimmer of light flashed in the corner of his eyes as he blocked Xu Bai’s escape route.”You want to do it again? I’m not a fool!”

This time, Xu Bai did not advance but retreated instead. He took Liu San’s punch to his right shoulder and tackled Liu San in a bear hug. He raised his head to look at Liu San and bared his teeth.”I am not a fool.”

Liu San was stunned.

In the next second.

Feeling the grip from the bear hug, Liu San pushed Xu Bai back.

“Thump, thump, thump!”

“Should…”

“Puff!”

Liu San’s head slammed into the wall. The sound of a sharp object piercing his body could be heard. Liu San’s eyes widened, and his unrelenting attacks on Xu Bai’s shoulders stopped in an instant.

Xu Bai fell to the ground. His face was pale, and he was panting. He tried to hold back his broken shoulders as he looked up at Liu San, who was leaning against the wall.

Then Xu Bai saw it.

Liu San’s pupils were wide as he stood motionlessly against the wall. Blood started to seep down from the back of his head.

In the next second.

Liu San’s body lurched forward uncontrollably and with a bang, dropped face-first to the floor.

On the back of Liu San’s head, a gaping hole showed.

As for the wall.

The blood-stained nail on the wall dripped blood and brain matter.

Xu Bai endured the pain and turned Liu San over. He checked to see if Liu San was still breathing, and after confirming that he wasn’t, he couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief.

In the next second.
