Spirit's Ascension-Chapter 54—Battle Conclusion
They all stared at Bryan with utter confusion with a trace of vigilance.
Nobody ever wants others to read their minds or access their thoughts.
They also looked towards Simone, but she seemed oblivious to what was going on.
Bryan watched all of their reactions with expected eyes. This has always happened every time.
"Relax, everyone; it’s just me, Bryan, and no, I can’t read your thoughts."
"This is one of my abilities that allows me to create a spiritual connection with others," He said.
Using the Eyes of Scrutiny, Cole could faintly pick up some things connecting them all in his scope of vision.
But it appeared too ethereal to be interacted with.
Cole originally looked at him head-on, with a curious gaze, but hearing his further words, his curiosity morphed into amusement.
"Is that really possible?"
"Innate spirits really do grant really diverse abilities, but what’s the limit?" he thought.
"This might help us create a perfect plan to save us from this predicament," Bryan said.
Everybody else nodded faintly in acceptance.
"I am not the best with plans, so I think someone else should take control."
He then activated his abilities again, transferring a spiritual sigil directly from himself to Cole.
The moment it arrived in Cole. He felt a sense of ascendancy, like he was connected to the world on deeper levels.
The feeling was drowning, making Cole want to completely revel in it.
Remembering their current situation, he quickly snapped out of it and back to reality.
After the first surge vanished, Cole was now able to fully grasp his condition.
A plan had been brewing in his mind since the moment they observed Simone’s weird action.
The plan, however, required very high attention to details; it required everyone to do an exact thing to attain required results.
But he hadn’t had a way to disseminate it to others, but now he finally does.
He looked towards Bryan with a look of gratitude, which was responded to by a nod from the other party.
The plan relied heavily on him, Linda, and Cain, so he needed Cain to cooperate, though he wanted nothing more than to start a brawl with the dude.
He had to try to work together so they could survive.
Cole began sharing the details of his plans to everyone in the group. Giving them roles and actions to perform.
Though most of them were actually just distractions, they were absolutely necessary for the work.
In about five minutes, they fine-tuned the plan and got ready to enact it.
While they were planning, most of the pressure fell on the Life beast who was struggling and using everything it had just to stall and keep Simone busy.
It got to the point where a hammer strike approached strongly from above.
It was aimed directly at the skull, which will almost certainly result in death when its missing tail is taken into consideration.
Just as the hammer strike was about to hit. Moses appeared directly in front of him and sent out a punch.
The hammer and punch met heavily, with Moses losing the exchange, but he was still successful in deflecting the attack.
Lucius and Bryan followed Closely behind, sending out long-distance attacks to aid Moses, who was currently in close quarters.
With regards to Linda and Cain, Cole used them as guidelines for his own growth.
Except for the attacks from the Life beast, his Kinetic Acceleration + Flaming Fist was still their strongest attack, so he wanted to capitalize on that point.
There was something Cole had been contemplating after his narrow "victory" against the Life beast.
The flow and use of abilities weren’t stagnant; they weren’t rigid structures that one must follow.
They were malleable, and true understanding originates from the malleability of known knowledge.
So he decided to try it out.
He activated the Eyes of Scrutiny to their max state while he watched Linda and Cain use their abilities.
He tried to observe the flow of their Life beast and also specific mechanisms that allow their flames to have such intensity.
This was easier said than done, though; he was trying to concentrate on two people at once, and the star rank of their Innate spirit was obviously higher than 2-star.
Cole felt his head spinning while blood began pooling at the corner of his eyes.
But he pressed on; he kept his eyes open while he watched them despite the pressure on him to close them and deactivate the ability.
His eyelids grew heavier the longer he waited, the top and bottom parts coming closer together.
But hearing the sound of battle from his allies, some even screaming out in pain.
He couldn’t; he couldn’t just let things go after they had come this far.
Moses’s hands were almost completely unusable; Bryan’s legs were shaking as he couldn’t keep himself up. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
His guidelines, Cain, and Linda were in even worse conditions; Cain especially had lost so much blood that it had begun pooling beneath him.
Then the situation changed; it graduated from bad to worse.
Simone was currently holding Moses by the limbs and pulling him apart.
Cole noticed that immediately.
"That’s it, I can’t wait any longer; someone will lose their life here."
Blood had already begun dripping from his eyes. Leaving a bloody trail on his cheek.
"I must do this now," He said while triggering the Empty Codex.
If it were observed, one would see the page that contained the flaming fist ability rewriting itself.
Changes occurred to multiple parts of it while the core part remained unchanged.
Following that, Flames began taking shape around his fist. These flames were completely different from the previous ones.
They were a mixture of red, golden, and blue, giving off an oppressive aura.
Cole could feel his Life energy almost going out of control from that action, but he didn’t stop.
Instead, he proceeded to activate the Kinetic Acceleration ability. Maybe due to his current state.
The ability didn’t lag; it immediately activated.
"Nowwwwww," Cole shouted out as his body was sent flying out like a rocket.
