Spirit Soul-Chapter 274 Poisonous
Several days had passed, and the small group didn't have much to do. They lodged in the place Jaden got his hands on, which was opposite the merchant shop, where the spatial ring with all the mana stones was located.
The alley was the only thing in-between them and the shop, which made things much easier.
Jaden was still a little bit annoyed about his 'failed' business but he also accepted that they didn't have the necessary connections to reach the seventh prince, let alone to strike a deal with him in a matter of days.
The seventh prince's merchants or their trusted Cultivators were on their way to the shop. At least, that was what seemed to be the most likely whenever new news about the seventh prince reached the Glacia kingdom.
It was only a matter of days before they should reach the small city they were in. Selene and the others were already excited. They improved their proficiency with the Wings of Ilusia technique. Except for Yasmine, everyone had to learn how to fly faster.
Only Kyle was able to fly nearly as fast as the phoenix halfling. Meanwhile, Beatrice may have great control over her blood wings but even she faced issues. There were certain differences between being able to fly by solely using one's cultivation energies, and replicating wings to fly.
As for Selene, she struggled a lot. Her improvements were quick but it would take her some time to be able to fly as fast and smooth as Kyle or Yasmine.
They could even cultivate while flying around. That was if Arashi were to be able to avert his focus from Jaden while flying him through the surrounding with the wings of Ilusia.
Everyone's cultivation progressed a bit, but Jaden was still lacking behind. Kyle had yet to go out hunting again to advance his Pryr cultivation vein.
But this was not possible because all of them had to be ready to follow the seventh prince's merchant or people the moment they arrived.
They wanted to take revenge on the chubby merchant by all means. Thus, waiting a few days before Kyle would be able to advance their cultivation paths was no problem for Jaden, Selene, or the others.
It was not as if something bad would happen just because they postponed cultivating more efficiently for a few days. 𝒇𝘳ℯℯ𝚠𝙚𝑏𝗻𝑜ѵ𝑒𝙡.co𝑚
"Here he is…wait?! Isn't that…him?" It was already late at night when Yasmine's eyes began to glow brightly. She could see through the darkness and immediately saw the figure of the person all of them had been waiting for.
Yasmine was not sure if they were extremely lucky, or if it was a mere coincidence but she definitely liked it. The chubby merchant had personally come to get his hands on the spatial ring.
He was followed by a bunch of hidden guards at the Krysal stage. There was even one hidden guard at the Acerta stage.
But that was only something Kyle could see because even Yasmine's special eyes were unable to trace them.
"There are quite professional guards hidden. Killing the chubby merchant will be difficult. I doubt that we can kidnap and torture him, even if we wanted to. Maybe even attacking him secretly will be difficult." Kyle said, sighing deeply. He was a bit bothered by the appearance of the Acerta stage guard.
Even if he was merely an average Cultivator at the Acerta stage, it was not like Kyle and his people were able to defeat him.
This was truly bothersome, and certainly not something they could overcome easily.
"How about we hire a mercenary at the Acerta stage to deal with the Acerta guard?" Selene asked, shrugging.her shoulders.
She was actually not sure what they should do against this hidden guard at the Acerta stage. It was quite annoying.
"Mercenaries are not trustworthy. As long as they get paid, they will do anything, even expose that we hired them to attack the 'official envoy' of the seventh prince from the Thunderclaw kingdom." Yasmine just said, sighing deeply.
"Our cultivation base is also not high enough. We can deal with the hidden guards at the Krysal stage, but none of us reached the Mid ranks of the Krysal stage yet." Beatrice added her own opinion to the discussion before turning her head to Kyle.
"You just finished constructing the Sacarda seed in your Soul vessel, right? It hasn't bloomed yet if I can sense that properly. Roughly the same can be said about Arashi, just that he is a little bit faster than you because he has growing spurts.
Arashi won't take long before he reaches the Peak Vitae stage. Once he can create crystalized Soul force, you guys will become extremely powerful. With your combined forces and Aurora's support for each of you, it might even be possible to defeat someone several ranks above your cultivation stage. But for now…sigh" Beatrice had a lot to say, but everyone could only nod.
Even if Kyle, Arashi, and Aurora combined their strength while 'potentially' being at the Krysal stage, they wouldn't be capable of defeating the Acerta stage guard.
"Well, then how about we kill the other hidden guards, and leave behind this other one? If we buy some lethal poison, we might even be able to paralyze the Acerta guard as long as we get it into his system. In fact, we can paralyze everyone that way. Just killing the Acerta guard will be difficult." Jaden shared his opinion as well.
He knew that strength was not everything. Playing dirty may not be cool, but it was definitely better than dying.
Jaden's cultivation was low, but that didn't mean that his brain didn't work properly.
Instead of going straight and facing numerous hurdles, Jaden would rather find a way around all the trouble and gain as much as possible in the shortest period.
"Poison…it would have to be lethal and traceless. For a cultivator at the Acerta stage not to sense poison when he inhales it, it would have to be sealed, and only start working when it's in the immune system of its victims…" Yasmine delivered facts without thinking much about it.
When she looked up, Yasmine saw that Kyle looked at her with gleaming eyes, while the two other girls looked at Kyle with a pout of jealousy.
"You are the best, Yasmine!" Kyle turned in Jaden's direction a moment later before he gave him a nod of acknowledgment.
"The devouring tree seedling's spores are not powerful enough to knock out someone at the Acerta stage, but I know that we can mix the spores with poison. Sooo, looks like we need to buy some poison, quickly! We don't want to let our victims wait too long after all, right?" Kyle's expression looked evil, and Jaden was confused about what the devouring tree seedling was, to begin with.
However, the girls could only look at Kyle with uncertain expressions.
"Master, you look so devilish…but its also very handsome!" Aurora suddenly appeared in front of Kyle's face. She patted his head and squealed out a moment later when Kyle gently picked her up. "Masterrr?! Noooo, let me goooo."
"You little impatient furball." Kyle could only say before he got up from the chair, readying himself to buy some poison.
"I have a wide variety of poisonous potions that can be used to paralyze someone in a high concentration. They're antidotes of special types of poison…and well, mixing some together, will result in a quite…brutal poison. We don't need to buy anything. That means if the idea you have in mind will work out." Yasmine smiled innocently at Kyle while building up some eye-contact.
But even before she could keep her eyes on him, Kyle's head turned to Beatrice, who took a few vials out of her spatial ring.
"I don't know, why Karnias gave me all these poisonous potions, but I got lots of bullshit from him. He probably thought that I might need some of these things in the future." Beatrice brushed through her silver hair while speaking. She looked innocent while doing so but Kyle could only swallow his saliva.
"These potions…are definitely lethal. If the Acerta stage guard survives being poisoned by one of these poisons, he is some sort of existence that is not supposed to exist. Even perfect immunization to most ordinary poisons won't help him anymore." Kyle carefully approached the table where the poison vials were located.
He began to smile devilishly once again, unable to avert his eyes from the treasure Beatrice unveiled in front of him.
"I don't like to say this, but for the first time I have to say that Karnias did a good job, this bastard." Kyle praised Karnias, while cursing him at the same time, but nobody minded that.
From what Beatrice told everyone, they could only loathe Karnias, even if his intention might have been good. Nobody would want to live the same life Beatrice had faced in the past. It was boring and truly horrifying if one thought about it closer.
But now she was surrounded by the living, still lacking common sense, but she was loved.
And that meant more than anything for the old, yet somewhat childish Beatrice.
