"I know that you can’t believe me but how about we discuss about this afterwards, we need to take that Accesory before those people came her to collect money." I said as me and Elina both calm her down as Elina then ask her where she saw this locket.
Winter shook her head to her as she stopped crying. "No, I have no idea. That was the first and last time I saw this locket before today, maybe we can know about it if we search his study room, I think he kept them hidden there too," she suggested.
"That’s a good idea. Let’s search the study room," I said as we all got up to head towards the room, this is where our search is going to start from, maybe I can even keep those photos I edited, it was first time I made use of my tecnology king memory.
As soon as we entered the study room, I used my appraisal skill and destiny eyes as I boosted it’s effects and looked around the room.
If using only using appraisal skill can help me see status, using it with other skill can enchant it’s effects, like using it with destiny eyes can help me see a person aura according to his destiny but with appraisal skill, the effects are boosted, the same is the case with mana consumption.
As I look around the study room, my eyes stopped at a single book, the book was radiating with a golden light as the more I look at it, the more it’s golden light grows brighter, and he shields his eyes as the room fills with its radiance.
Elina and winter however were unknown as to what happened as they asked me what happened.
"I am alright." I said calming them down, I then check my status and then sighed, just using it for about a second cost me half of mana, now I would have to buy those mana stones from system again, how troublesome.
As I steps closer to that particular book, I notices a small lever hidden behind it shielding it from anyone’s eye. My hand get the hold of that as I pulled that lever.
Suddenly, the bookshelf slowly shifted to the right, revealing a secret room behind it. Elina and Winter gasped in shock as they had no idea the existence of this secret room.
I cautiously entered the room prepared for any kind of trap and my eyes widened in surprise at when I saw inside. The room was mostly empty, except for five big and small boxes, arranged in a square and covered with clothes, the four of them were placed at the corners and one at the center.
It looked like an ordinary room, but there was a peculiar feeling I got from this room. Elina and Winter followed me into the room, and they just stood there in silence as they looked around. They were curious about the boxes what was hidden behind the cloth, but both were were hesitant to touch them.
I took a deep breath and walked towards the center box. As I removed the cloth, I saw a glass box with a pair of beautiful earrings inside. They were crafted with precision and adorned with sparkling jewels. I picked up the box and examined it closely, and a smile slowly crept onto my face.
"These are the earrings that match the locket!" I exclaimed as I used my appraisal skill to confirm it and felt a sense of relief wash over me when I found that it is what I was searching for.

Elina and Winter both rushed over to see what I had found. As soon as they saw the earrings, they were amazed by how well-made they looked.
"Wow, they look so beautiful," Winter said in amazement as Elina nodded in agreement. Like every women, they too love jewellery.
I carefully picked up the earrings and examined them. They were made with the same intricate designs as the locket and seemed to be a perfect match for it.
"Well, we finally found the missing piece, but I really wondered for whom Jake purchased them for tho, it’s good that he still haven’t given it to her." I said, feeling a sense of satisfaction that my search come to an end, I also don’t forgot to run salt on Elina wounds but it’s necessary.
"Ahh!! What are these?" I said as I take out some photos from my inventory acting as if they were hidden in this box of earrings. Elina take those photos from my hands as she flips through them.
Tears started flowing from her eyes as she throw those photos away, winter also get glimpse of those photos of Jake with some other girls as she ran to her mother to soothe her.
I too followed as I hugged her crushing her chest in between, "Calm down, you need to stay strong for your daughters." I said soothing her as winter too started crying while hugging her, I then resolved myself to make these girls happy.

After both Elina and winter had calmed down, we also checked the other boxes which were there in the room.
They were nothing unlike the locket and the earrings but some normal pieces of jewelleries and clothing, maybe he was collecting them to see if they match with those earrings and locket or it can be any other reason as well, but them being in this room with those photos made the womens who were with me even more angry.
After that, we all left the room and closed it with same lever and went back to the living room as we started chatting and making plans on what to do.
They then suddenly invited me for lunch, I, of course pretended hard at the beginning but drop the act when I was forced by winter. As we were making way toward the dining room, we suddenly can across a loli.
The loli was around five years old and had long, light blue hair left open as they reaches her knees with a pink ribbon above her head, her big blue eyes were filled with tears. She was wearing a pink dress with frills that made her look like a princess.
She was snow, Elina second daughter and winter sister and currently, she have tears in her eyes. When winter and Elina saw this, they immediately ran towards her and calm her down, she don’t know that her father has left her forever.

"Hello there, little Snow. What’s wrong?" I asked her softly, crouching down to her level as Elina and winter gave me space.
Snow sniffled as she cutely wiped away her tears with the back of her hand. "Daddy’s gone, mama says he is not coming back. He hates me." she whimpered as she looked up at him with her big ocean blue eyes, they were a little sore because of her crying a lot.
Alex’s heart softened a little at the sight of her sadness. Just a little, sacrifice is a necessary thing in this world, just like a chicken gave a sacrifice for human stomach, this is also a same thing, her dad has to die and it was a much needed job.
"I’m sorry to hear that, Snow. But you know what? You still have your mommy and your big sister, Elina. And now you have me too. I promise to be here for you whenever you need me." I said to her as I patted her little head.
As Snow’s tears dried up, a small, but hopeful smile replaced them. Her eyes still glistened with unshed tears, "Really?" she asked again, seeking confirmation that she had not imagined his promise to be there for her.
"Really, you can call me Alex." I replied to her with a smile while holding out my hand to her. "Now, how about we go have some lunch together and make some happy memories?"
Snow’s little hand slipped into mine as her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Okay, but can I call you daddy?" she asked, her voice filled with hope, longing and excitement.
But when she said that, I and Elina exchanged a glances with each other, I can she hesitation in her eyes, she seems to be unsure of what to say to Snow. She knew that being called "daddy" meant and what it would indicate to the world on her relationship with alex.

Maybe, next Chapter will be the last one in this arc. But idk it might take another.
