Chapter 150: I Will Save You [3] — Her True Power

Each palm forced the beams farther into the sky until they backfired, striking the heads of the gigantic beings and tearing massive chunks from them.

Countless explosions echoed through the skies. Mirai pressed her assault, leading everyone into the darkened heavens. Noxious gases and ashes spread everywhere, but the group protected themselves with their Auras and Magic.

"The sky! How big is this thing?!" Tisha asked.

"As big as you could imagine," Pekorine said. "Truly a monster among monsters! Lord Louis has become a terrifying Grievance...! We cannot give up now!"

She pressed her palms together and unleashed a vast wave of bright energy. Spiritual power surged from the ground below as the Leylines connected to her. A giant magic circle manifested, spanning over a kilometer.

From the circle, a massive spiritual tree began to rise while the five gigantic heads of the Abyssal Dragon Tree of Ruin roared and snapped at them in fury.

The spiritual tree glowed with beautiful ethereal green and golden light. Its radiance temporarily blessed everyone’s bodies with spirit protection, granting greater boosts to all parameters and accelerated regeneration of their bodies and internal energies.

Helena finally regenerated enough Psychic Energy to fight back. She manifested her Telekinesis and created giant screens of compressed space, placing them in front of the group to defend against the snapping jaws of the dragon heads.

"Mirai, what now?!"

As the dragons smashed their heads against the spatial screens and roared in pain, Mirai noticed the entire tree trembling. Its roots rose and transformed into legs. The gigantic creature began walking, trampling over the already ruined city.

If it reached the underground shelter, the people below would likely be crushed. She had to act fast.

"We have to stop it from moving!" Mirai said, channeling her energies into the six different arms of her Aura. "I will pierce through its bark, and once it begins to collapse, we will push it so it falls into the wasteland behind the castle!"

"It’s the only way, I guess!" Tisha said. "I’ll charge my power—hurry!"

Tisha poured all her Aura and Energy into her muscles and channeled her highly refined divine soul energy into Niflheim. Icy dragon scales began spreading across her body.

"Niflheim, we might not even make it out of this... So I want to tell you that you’re the greatest sword I’ve ever had, and... a friend—one I would never replace."

"Tisha..." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

Niflheim felt deeply moved. Her Spiritual Soul surged with all her Divinity, granting it entirely to Tisha. Her power rose even higher, slowly approaching the strength she once held in Yggdrasil—before Earth’s thinner Fantasium severely weakened her.

"I have to say, you’re one reckless master! But yes, I believe the same... Let’s save that boy and this ruined Kingdom—even if I must put my soul on the line."

Niflheim was merely a weapon forged from the Dragon King’s divine frost, yet she had developed her own soul and had become far more than just a sword.

And yet, somewhere within her, she felt something strange.

A fragment of her own Sword Soul Heart resided inside that giant tree—inside Louis’ Fantasy Heart.

She had sensed it for a while but said nothing, believing it would not help.

But now...

As she unleashed all her power, she felt that fragment reacting to her, as though trying to communicate.

To create a connection.

"I have no idea how Louis ended up with one of my Sword Soul Heart Avatars inside his Fantasy Heart... but I cannot waste this opportunity..." she thought. "Tisha! I think I have an idea. It’s a big gamble, but it could open a path inside Louis’ Fantasy Heart so we can stop the problem at the root."

"Hoh? I’m all ears!" Tisha said.

At the same time, Mirai pushed her power to its absolute limit. She concentrated several spheres of combined, compressed Chaos and Demonic Energy while Helena, Catrise, and Pekorine defended them from the giant dragon heads.

Information flooded Mirai’s mind. The power of Pandemonium and Chaos, along with knowledge of how to wield their gifted abilities, surged into her consciousness. She wove their ancient spells together.

And created something even more terrifying by fusing their powers into her own body—the vessel for all of this and more.

They had once used their power to terrorize countless innocents and destroy an entire world. Now Mirai wielded that same power to protect whatever remained of Frostbane...

And to save the man she loved.

Hundreds of spheres of chaos and demonic power combined, forging themselves into a long spear.

A glowing golden spear—the beloved weapon of Louis.

An imitation of Gungnir, radiating demonic radiance and chaotic power.

Because Mirai did not like Louis merely because he was handsome. That was a bonus, but not the reason.

She admired his attitude, his strong personality, his charisma, and above all...

The way he acted and fought without hesitation, even when everything seemed lost.

She did not just love him; she had begun to realize he was someone she admired.

Someone she wanted to imitate, to become a little more like.

Confined her entire life inside that laboratory, Mirai wanted to be like Louis—someone who never hesitated to speak his mind, who made his opinions clear.

Someone who forged his path with blood and tears, no matter the cost.

That was why, after he fell into such deep despair that his heart shattered and he transformed into this twisted being...

A Grievance born from his agony and despair...

Mirai wanted to help him return to his original path.

Thus, the feeling of love intertwined with her aura surged with such intensity that it burned the sky.

And behind her, while everyone watched and while Mirai concentrated all her power...

Two figures emerged.

A tall, red-skinned demon with a muscular yet slender frame, long white hair, sharp yellow eyes, and golden horns.

A slender, small-looking young woman with dark gray skin, gentle white eyes, short gray hair, and broken fairy-like wings of black with red eyes.

Mirai’s eyes widened as she felt their hands touch her shoulders.

"If that’s the path you’ve chosen, Mirai, go for it."

"We will support you with everything we have..."
