Chapter 244: Coincidentally, I am also reborn (4) Second update

X University was also the seventh-ranked university in the country last year.

Xu Mengjie had overperformed at the time, achieving top twenty in the whole school and being admitted to X University.

Her results were lackluster compared to the once-glorious Ye Shaohua.

Yet now, they were beyond the reach of the fallen goddess.

Ye Shaohua glanced at her and retrieved her name from the original host’s memory - the former English class representative of their class with both good looks and impressive grades.

But she had been overshadowed by the original host in every aspect.

However, now the tables had turned. Having been admitted to a university, Xu Mengjie was already far ahead of Ye Shaohua.

Ye Shaohua didn’t refuse but gave Xu Mengjie a string of numbers.

When she pulled out her phone, Xu Mengjie’s sharp eyes caught a glimpse of Ye Shaohua’s device; it was the banana phone that had only hit the M Country market the day before.

It was so sought after abroad that many couldn’t get it despite queuing.

Yet, Ye Shaohua already had one in her possession today.

That said, thinking of Ye Shaohua’s current situation, Xu Mengjie breathed a sigh of relief. What did it matter? It was nothing but a case of all bark and no bite.

She saved Ye Shaohua’s number, eagerly anticipating the upcoming summer break, impatient to let their old classmates see what the former school goddess had become.

At that thought, Xu Mengjie began plotting for the class reunion.

She guaranteed that if word got out about Ye Shaohua’s name, many would surely attend the reunion.

"Mengjie, who was that girl just now? She looks quite pretty," Xu Mengjie’s roommate gazed in the direction Ye Shaohua had left, "with that golden hair... somewhat stylish, I guess."

"Her?" Xu Mengjie scoffed lightly, "She used to be our school’s top student, but unfortunately..."

She had just seen the honor roll for the senior year’s fourth mock exam and hadn’t found Ye Shaohua’s name at all.

**

Ye Shaohua was still a student at School No. 1, but because others had been persuaded by the school to drop out,

when she came back, she was no longer a student of Rocket Class.

Instead, she was placed in the worst Class Thirteen.

There weren’t many people in Class Thirteen.

Unlike the first few classes with fifty to sixty students, it only had about twenty, and their desks were scattered about.

It was afternoon, and still not all had arrived.

This was a special kind of class that held either physical education students or those like Ye Shaohua who had paid for their spots.

The most rubbish existence in the whole grade.

Ye Shaohua had never been to such a disorganized classroom before; it was messy and irritating.

However, as she passed by, some students retracted their legs, others tidied their desks, "Boss, were you alright yesterday?"

"I heard that bastard from Jiang Cheng tattled to the Head Teacher..."

The term "boss" gave Ye Shaohua a headache.

Luckily, the class bell rang shortly after.

The homeroom teacher of Class Thirteen, Mr. Wang, taught mathematics, the kind with a receding hairline.

Reportedly, he once won an award for being an outstanding teacher, but apparently had offended someone to end up teaching Class Thirteen.

"Quiet down, everyone, stop talking and listen to the lesson," Mr. Wang put down his teaching plan on the desk and picked up the chalk to start the class, "Today we start our final round of review..."

He was not tall, a bit chubby, and the glasses he wore did little to impose authority.

Class Thirteen paid him no attention.

Those who looked at their phones did so, ate snacks, chatted, or slept, continuing their chaotic ways.

Mr. Wang called out several times, but only a few students in the front row began to open their books.

However, the class was too small, and even with a loud voice, not everyone heard him clearly.

Ye Shaohua slammed her hand on the desk, "Shut up, all of you!"

The classroom fell into instant silence; even Mr. Wang was taken aback.

Once everyone had quieted down, even those who had been sleeping jolted awake, Ye Shaohua coldly swept her gaze over everyone, "Didn’t you hear the teacher tell you to listen to the lesson?"

Despite the injury on her forehead, Ye Shaohua was undeniably beautiful, and at that moment, her beautiful eyes displayed a look of disdain that strangely didn’t seem out of place on her.

"We heard you!" the bunch of kids in Class Thirteen shouted loudly.

The sound hurt Ye Shaohua’s ears, and she reached up to rub them, "Heard and yet didn’t apologize?"

"Sorry, teacher!"

Homeroom teacher Mr. Wang began class as if in a dream.

His eyes welled with tears as he finally felt moved by the dedication of this group of students.

However, halfway through the class, they were interrupted by the homeroom teacher of Rocket Class, Mr. Liu, and the Head Teacher.

"Mr. Wang, we need to see a few students from your class," Liu Longsheng of Rocket Class scanned Class Thirteen with a look of disgust, "Your student Ye Shaohua led a group who injured our Jiang Cheng. The Head Teacher and I have decided to suspend Ye Shaohua for two months."

A two-month suspension meant being sidelined until the college entrance exam.

Mr. Wang’s expression changed, "No way, there are still two months left, and Ye Shaohua was also injured by Jiang Cheng. She shouldn’t be the only one to blame for this."

As he spoke, the other students from Class Thirteen stood up as well.

"What nonsense, it was clearly Jiang Cheng and his lot being foul-mouthed, the boss just couldn’t stand seeing us bullied, you..."

"Be quiet," Mr. Wang cast a glance at the students and then looked towards the Head Teacher and the homeroom teacher of Rocket Class, "There’s been a misunderstanding, and our students have already spoken up."

"These troublemakers from your class who only know how to fight?" the Head Teacher scoffed, "I think it would be better to petition the Principal to shut down Class Eleven, with the college entrance exams so close they’re just disrupting Jiang Cheng’s performance!"

Liu Longsheng stood with his arms crossed, his face suffused with scorn.

As soon as those words left his mouth, all the students from Class Thirteen felt the insult from the homeroom teacher of Rocket Class and the Head Teacher.

Some students slammed their desks, ready to stand up, their faces red with rage.

Mr. Wang frowned, "There are only two months left before the college entrance exam, and I will not allow Ye Shaohua to be suspended. I will properly discipline them."

"The college entrance exam?" Liu Longsheng was in charge of students ranked in the top sixty of the whole grade and always felt superior, he sneered upon hearing this, "Do you have any idea what sort of trash you have in your class? Them taking the college entrance exam? What a joke!"
