Chapter 511: Gathering of Kings V

"Hmm... oh yes." Quan Lee pulled up several images of videos. "They made contact with three nations from other galaxies. Probing for a possible alliance to help take over our galaxy. They used top secret transmitting and receiving devices that the Crystoph Federation has been developing. These devices allowed us to send and receive messages between galaxies with only a week in time difference."

"Gorund Velwrench provided us with a list of galaxies and countries. I believe we can match them up." The High Priestess declared as she pulled up some information. "This first one is the nation of Bana. The black clothes and silver metals indicating rank are their nation’s style. It is a human supremacy nation ruled by an emperor. It has a prospering slave industry and has the second largest armada and has stayed in power only because of its mind controlling technology."

"It sounds like the Holy Empire might have liked them... if they still existed." The King of Montez pointed out.

"Actually, it seems the Empire of Bana specifically bans religions of all kinds and only promotes loyalty to the Empire and the Emperor." The High Priestess explained.

"Yeah... that is bad. But it looks like they showed little to no interest in communicating after the first exchange. Is there a chance they have sent an invasion force?" Quan Lee asked.

"Yes, a real strong one. Apparently if The Emperor of Bana finds a weaker inhabitable galaxy they will invade with a strong force. How hostile was their exchange?" The High Priestess asked.

"Very hostile, they told them to shove their offers up their-"

"I get the idea. Then we can expect an invasion force. I will send the information to Cerberus so they can calculate when they will arrive. Now let’s take a look at the one in green camo gear and with a lack of any ranking signatures. That is something only the Titanocus do. They are experts in digital manipulation and are not an actual nation. Instead they are a sentient blob with control over electronics that rules three galaxies through unknown means. It has the third largest armada but also has massive weaponry that can destroy planets in a single shot. We have the data on their ships as well. Give us the initial contact and we will assume invasion time from there." The High Priestess explained with a sigh. "They really picked some bad ones. Titanocus does not negotiate."

"Well shit." Quan Lee cursed in annoyance. "How about this last one? The one with the horn coming out of her head. Is that a woman? I honestly cannot tell."

"The Unis, that is a female. They keep their borders closed, which is an automated signal response. They do not care to invade others. They just keep others out of their country. They have a number of internal tribes and internal wars. But they unite against invading forces. We do not have to worry about them. Two out of Three." The High Priestess declared with a chuckle. "Does anyone else have contact with other galaxies?"

"Nope. The Crystoph Federation was the only one." The Rouge Metal Legion’s Aura announced. "We managed to block all other forms of contact with other galaxies. Their experimental technology was the only thing that managed to get past the digital blockade."

"That is good. How about we talk about how we should deal with communiques from external galaxies going forward?" The High Priestess declared.

"I suggest a board made up of multiple countries handles any communiques after we decide what our general sentiment is." Lesana suggested. "It is the same thing we do in our corner of the galaxy."

"That works for me. But I believe we should refuse all outsiders. No matter what they offer. Close off our galaxy completely from the outside." The Emperor of Oda suggested.

"I agree." The King of Montez grunted out.

"I feel like that will be a general sentiment. Let us fight amongst ourselves but unite against outside threats." High Executive Imma Ag’ula declared. "You can count on the Cthon Conglomerate’s wealth to fund it."

The High Priestess stood up. "Then let us take a-"

"Hold on a minute!" Another leader declared and stood up. "Couldn’t we use their help against these Daemons and the Mortella?"

"Yeah!" Another colony leader declared.

"No, we cannot." Al-han Jel responded. "If we give them a foothold they will try to take over our galaxy. We do not want some outside force trying to rule us. Especially now that one of our nations is about to create a form of technology that can travel between galaxies. Isn’t that right, High Priestess?"

The High Priestess flinched and then sighed. "It seems you are more aware of what is going on within Cerberus than I am." She looked up at Jace who flinched. "How much freedom are you giving the Union’s spy?"

"K? Apparently too much." Jace answered back. "But yeah, we came up with five ways and thought of only three viable options. But Gorund does not feel like pursuing his method. So only myself and... the other one are pursuing a method." Jace informed them.

The High Priestess looked at Al-han Jel. "Satisfied."

Al-han Jel frowned. "I suppose I will have to be."

"Good." The High Priestess nodded. "Then she will be the Leonair Union’s representative. She is already up to the standards necessary for the operation." Jace rolled his eyes as he sent Cain a message. Telling him to take K in and disclose her status as a spy to others.

"Ha..." Al-han Jel sighed. "Very well."

"All in favor of closing our galaxy off to outsiders and putting all correspondence through the group mentioned before?" The High Priestess asked as she slammed her spear against the ground. Most hands went up in agreement. The few that did not were just going to have to stand being outvoted. "Then the larger nations will each appoint a person for the aforementioned council and they will convene at a later date."

"Then our next topic is..." The Emperor of Oda sighed as he remembered.

"If the smaller nations and colonies will now speak of their grievances and we will discuss how to resolve them as much as possible." The High Priestess bowed her head slightly as she sat down again.

"Then in that case. I would like to address the external pressure to become one of your colonies by your politicians and nobles." One of the leaders stood up. "Everything from cutting trade lines to harassing colony ships."

Another leader with far more ridiculous regalia stood up. "It is the same with us. We are only inhabiting a planet and a space station. But we are getting pressure to join a nation from two different sides. Both the Montez Kingdom and the Crystoph Federation."

"I believe receiving pressure from larger nations during these times of war is an issue. Usually we could drum up support from the other side or other neighboring nations. But with the ongoing galactic war we cannot do anything aside from hope and build up our own military when we should be focusing on growth and establishing ourselves." Another more calm and collected leader declared.

The King of Montez chuckled. "I do not believe that-"

"The Montez Kingdom is attempting to annex six distant small nations and colonies in an effort to establish bases across the galaxy." Another leader interrupted him. This one was wearing glasses. "While it and the Crystoph Federation are the only two left that were actively supporting it. The other nations all have politicians and nobles who are working behind their leaders’ backs in order to claim more territory for themselves."

"Hmm..." The High Priestess grunted and nodded. "Then we need to establish a set of rules to promote growth and prevent the larger nations from attempting to forcefully take over."

"How about outright banning it?" Quan Lee asked.

"No, it would give them too much power." The High Priestess answered. "It could be abused to use as secret bases. It would be a better idea to have smaller nations and colonies have a protected status until either they sign a military cooperation contract or treaty with another nation. Or until they have full control of-hmm... one system is not a correct scale."

"How about five inhabited planets, moons, colonies, or stations with a population of one million each, or ten million for overall population. I believe that should provide enough manpower and military buildup over time." The glasses wearing leader suggested.

"That is... actually fairly clever." The Emperor of Oda nodded. "I believe it will more than suffice. But perhaps we should put a time limit or caveat for nations that are struggling or intentionally dragging their feet?"

"How long do you think it will take before a nation is fully established? Especially with that high of population?" Lesana asked. The population numbers were not necessarily high, but for a population going from five hundred to ten million would take a while.

"Perhaps we should establish a committee for this as well? We will just set the basic outline and they will adjust the specifics as time goes on." High Executive Imma Ag’ula suggested in excitement and for good reason. Growth of nations was expensive and the more clients they had the better it would be.
