Chapter 1297: A Powerful Woman

“I object to the deal you and Thor made to trade the Golden Apple for seventy million magicoins, Master Sein,” Loki said bluntly via voice transmission.

“Oh?” Sein raised a brow, then turned to Thor with a questioning look.

Thor, already guessing what his younger brother was about to say, flushed red.

Given Thor’s character, going back on his word was something he simply could not do.

“Then how many magicoins do you think is fair?” Sein asked.

In truth, Loki did not believe Sein could actually come up with seventy million magicoins.

His sudden change of heart was partly to make Sein back down and partly to find a more suitable buyer.

Compared to Sein, who was only Rank Four and looked ordinary, the Phantom Crow King quietly keeping a low profile at Sein’s side seemed like a far better potential buyer.

There were plenty of wealthy foreign gods out there too. For a Rank Six creature from another realm, scraping together tens or even hundreds of millions of magicoins was not impossible.

Thus, Loki replied without hesitation, “I won’t settle for anything less than one hundred million magicoins!”

His demand was clearly outrageous.

If Sein had a hundred million magicoins, he could have just gone to an auction instead of making a private deal.

Sein could not help but laugh at that. He was about to say something when a small green figure suddenly charged at him from afar!

“Sein!”

The voice reached him before the figure did.

With her crisp voice and short limbs, Tourmaline looked petite in her human form, but she ran fast.

She leaped into Sein’s arms, grabbed his magic robe, and demanded, “Why did you leave me behind? Did you sneak off to play somewhere?”

Sein wondered what Tourmaline meant by “play”. His recent trips to the Capiche Business Alliance and Steel City were certainly not for fun.

Rubbing Tourmaline’s head, Sein said, “I had some important business to take care of. I went to order a space fortress. I was planning to surprise you with it.”

It was a diplomatic answer, but Tourmaline bought it easily. The moment she heard he had already ordered a space fortress, she lit up with joy.

Maybe this meant she had just gained another “toy.”

Tourmaline’s sudden appearance made both Thor and Loki raise their eyebrows.

Thor found Tourmaline somewhat familiar, especially the two delicate dragon horns on her forehead. He felt like he had seen something similar before.

Unfortunately, he had a terrible memory, and no matter how hard he tried, he just could not recall where he had seen it.

Loki, on the other hand, detected the unusual dragon bloodline within Tourmaline right away, thanks to his unique divine ability and divinity.

The fact that Sein could be so close to someone with such a rare bloodline earned him at least a bit of Loki’s respect.

But compared to Thor and Loki, the one whose demeanor changed the most at that moment was the Phantom Crow King, who had been standing quietly beside Sein.

At the sight of the girl, the Phantom Crow King could not help but shudder.

It had not forgotten how it once coveted Tourmaline’s soul, only to have its claw swatted all the way back to its home plane by a terrifying overlord-level being.

To the Phantom Crow King, Tourmaline was clearly under the protection of some terrifying overlord and was not someone it could afford to provoke.

Overlord... The Phantom Crow King had only ever heard rumors of beings of this caliber from the legends of nearby star domains.

It used to be skeptical, but after being struck down by the God of Beastmen, it had to admit the rumors were true.

There really was another tier above Rank Six.

Tourmaline’s sudden arrival completely halted Sein and Loki’s bargaining.

It was not just her appearance. The surrounding Titan gods bowed respectfully, and even many Magus World powerhouses fell silent.

A woman clad in black armor descended from the sky, her noble presence radiating overwhelming power. She instantly became the center of attention.

Even Loki, who had been trying to argue with Sein, immediately shut his mouth like a terrified child.

Thor gripped his silver hammer and glanced around as if looking for an escape route.

Behind this powerful woman stood eight female Titan goddesses dressed in battle dresses. One of them seemed to be even stronger than the Phantom Crow King.

The woman leading them was undoubtedly stronger than it!

Sein felt a heavy pressure radiating from her.

He had seen the true form of the Spider Queen before, but even that could not compare to the overwhelming presence of this woman.

This was an existence even stronger than Thorstein, the Bloodwar Monarch from Purgatory. But who exactly was she...

Compared to Sein’s restrained surprise, the one who looked the most shaken was the Phantom Crow King.

This otherworldly creature, attending the Magus Alliance Conference for the first time, was a disgrace to its Rank Six status.

The crow king trembled so violently that it looked like it might shake off every last feather on its body.

Its two‑to‑three‑meter body shrank even further as it tried to hide from the terrifying figure approaching.

Luckily, the unknown and powerful entity did not notice it.

After arriving in this region, the woman had originally been heading straight for Thor and Loki, but when she reached them, she stopped in front of Sein instead.

Tourmaline, still nestled in Sein’s arms, was probably the only one there unfazed by the powerful woman’s presence.

Her big eyes stared curiously at the woman’s forehead.

The woman had a pair of dragon horns as well, though they were narrower and sharper than Tourmaline’s.

Her hair was adorned with gorgeous ornaments. From the subtle fluctuations of laws around them, it was clear that those ornaments were far more than mere decorations.

The woman’s icy expression suddenly softened. She gently tapped Tourmaline’s nose with a finger and smiled. “Where’s your big sister? Has she arrived yet?”

Tourmaline, completely unbothered, glanced around and replied, “She should be here. I sensed her earlier.”

Even though Tourmaline had never seen her before, there was a natural sense of familiarity between them that erased any feeling of distance.

Thor, who had been planning to slip away, suddenly froze as if someone had locked him in place.

His left foot hovered midair while his right had only just stepped forward, making his stance look ridiculous.

But Thor could not move at all, and even his facial expression was stuck. Only his constantly darting eyes showed any sign of life.

While patting Tourmaline’s head, the powerful woman clearly seemed ready to confront Thor—until she looked up at Sein.

She froze.

It was not Sein’s appearance or the fact that he was only Rank Four. It was the mask he wore.

Sein, wearing the Faceless Mask, had intended to use this chance to see what unique abilities this being possessed.

What he did not expect was that, just like Thor, he suddenly could not move either.

Even the Faceless Mask refused to respond to him.

How could there be such a powerful being in the Astral Realm?!
