Soul system:Return Of The SSS-Ranked Troublemaker-Chapter 69: Recruit Allie’s.
Zion rolled his eyes with a scoff. "Tch. Whatever. So, what now? I’m guessing you want me to dig into Raizel’s powers those fancy Elemental Mystic Arts, especially his Fire techniques, right?"
"Exactly," Zero replied, his voice dropping into a more serious tone. "Raizel’s fire arts are no joke. If we don’t understand how he fights, you’ll get incinerated before you can even blink."
Zion leaned back, a confident smirk creeping onto his face. He tapped his temple with a finger.
"Don’t sweat it. I’ve already done my homework on him."
Zero gave a curt nod. "Then it’s time to start gathering allies."
Zion stretched, then stood up from his bed. "Yeah... I’ve got someone in mind already."
With that, he left the base and headed out. After a short trek through the dense forest, he finally spotted his target Victor.
The towering, muscular man stood between two massive trees, his emerald-toned physique glistening with sweat. He held both trees like weights, steam rising from his skin as he trained.
"Yo!" Zion called out, waving casually with a grin.
Victor turned slightly, glancing over his shoulder. "Hm?"
"I want you to be my ally," Zion said firmly, his voice filled with conviction.
Victor chuckled, unimpressed. "I have no interest in joining anyone. My team and I are already perfect."
Zion shook his head. "That’s not what I mean."
Victor paused mid-press, his eyes narrowing. "What do you mean, then?"
Zion stepped closer, his smirk fading into a serious expression. "It’s simple. Help me get my revenge."
Victor let out a booming laugh. "HAHAHAHA! Revenge? What are you talking about?"
His laughter slowly died down. "Revenge against who?"
Zion’s gaze darkened. "Do you remember our old academy? The principal?"
Victor raised an eyebrow. "Mr. Raizel?"
Zion nodded. "He’s my target."
Victor’s expression shifted immediately from amusement to alarm. He released the trees and stepped toward Zion, placing a heavy hand on his shoulder.
"Do you even realize what you’re saying?" Victor said grimly. "You’re digging your own grave."
Zion smiled coolly. "I know exactly what I’m doing. Obviously, we’re going to plan this out. Besides we’ve got two whole years to prepare."
Victor frowned. "Two years? That won’t be enough. There’s an ongoing war in Germany. Don’t you think those soldiers and heroes are not getting stronger through real battle experience?"
"The war is over," Zion said flatly, his eyes sharp and steady.
Victor’s gaze narrowed. "What do you mean, ’over’?"
"I mean exactly what I said," Zion replied. "The war is done."
Victor furrowed his brow, confusion flashing across his face. None of the heroes ever mentioned anything about the war ending, he thought.
Zion crossed his arms. "You’re thinking it, right? That it’s strange no one told us. But I’m telling you now it’s finished."
"That’s not even what I was thinking," Victor muttered.
"Then ask me how I know."
Victor looked at him sharply. "Fine. How do you know?"
Zion’s smirk returned. "I’m rich. I’ve got my own network. My own eyes and ears."
Victor slowly withdrew his hand from Zion’s shoulder and stepped back, his tone turning cold. "I’m not interested. Whatever you’re after revenge, power it’s not for me. Revenge only breeds more revenge. In the end, you’ll earn no honor, no respect... just chaos."
Zion’s smirk didn’t fade. "Then how about I tell you... it’s about him. The first SSS-ranked German hero Übermensch."
Victor froze. His eyes widened, and in one sudden motion, he grabbed Zion by the collar. "What the hell did you just say?! Do you even know what you’re talking about?!"
Zion looked him dead in the eye. "I’m his disciple."
Victor’s grip loosened. Zion pushed his hands away and stepped back, his body beginning to emit a dark, pulsating energy.
"Release."
A black aura surged around him like living smoke.
Zero, watching nearby, clicked his tongue. "Tch... Look at this guy. He really knows how to stir shit up."
Victor took a step back, eyes wide. "It can’t be... That move back at the entrance exam. I thought it looked familiar."
He clenched his fists. "You really are... his disciple."
"But how?" Victor asked, his voice tight with disbelief. "How do you have his power?"
Zion gave a confident smile. "Before he died, he performed a ritual a quick, desperate one. He used the last of his energy to transfer his abilities into me." 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
Victor’s expression darkened as realization struck. "So that’s why his body was never found... He turned to ash, didn’t he?"
Zion raised an eyebrow, curious. "Never found? What are you talking about?"
"You just said it yourself," Victor replied, crossing his arms. "When someone uses a ritual to pass on their power, their body disintegrates. It becomes ash."
"But... the news reported they recovered his body," Zion said, confused.
Victor shook his head. "That was a lie. My uncle worked on the investigation he told me the truth. There was nothing left of Zero. No corpse. No remains. Just... ash scattered in the wind."
Zion paused, his confident expression faltering. "So it was a lie all along..."
Damn. So the body was never there to begin with. But if I’m just fabricating all this... then where the hell did his body go?
Suddenly, a cold, echoing voice whispered in his mind Zero’s voice.
"Looks like they even used my body for something..."
Zion’s eyes narrowed, his thoughts racing. If that’s true... then it has to be one of the five suspects we’ve been tracking. Or maybe even all five working together.
Victor noticed the sudden shift in Zion’s focus. "How do you know all this?" he asked cautiously.
Zion exhaled slowly. "I don’t not completely. Zero and I had a falling out about a week before he died. There was some... miscommunication. We weren’t on good terms."
Victor nodded slowly, his expression more solemn now. "That’s unfortunate. For both of you."
