Sold to Bastard Alpha after My Divorce!-Chapter 30
Finn’s POV
I watched them leave.
Kael’s hand on her back. Aria’s head held high. The two of them walking away like they owned the world.
Like I didn’t exist.
My chest burned. Something ugly twisted inside me. Something I didn’t want to name.
The black sports car disappeared around the corner. The engine’s roar faded into nothing.
Gone.
She was gone.
"Daddy?"
Lilith’s voice pulled me back. She was tugging at my sleeve. Her face was still tear-streaked. Still red from crying.
"Daddy, that mean man is gone now." She sniffled. Wiped her nose with her hand. "He was so scary. Why did he yell at me?"
I looked down at my daughter. Those silver eyes. Aria’s eyes.
Something snapped.
"Because you deserved it."
The words came out cold. Harsh. Before I could stop them.
Lilith froze. Her mouth fell open.
"W-what?"
"You heard me." I yanked my arm away from her grip. "Standing there crying about perfume and toys. Making a scene in front of everyone. Do you have any idea how embarrassing that was?"
Her lower lip trembled. "But Daddy—"
"Don’t ’but Daddy’ me!" My voice rose. Heads turned. I didn’t care. "You’re a Nightfang! Act like it!"
Lilith burst into fresh tears. Loud. Wailing. The kind of crying that made my head pound.
"Finn!" Celestia rushed forward. Her hand landed on my arm. Gentle. Soothing. "She’s just a child. She doesn’t understand—"
"And you!" I spun on her. Saw her eyes go wide. Saw the fear flash across her face. "You were supposed to handle this! You said you could manage her! You said everything would be fine!"
"I tried—"
"You tried?" I laughed. The sound was ugly. "You tried, and now everyone in this garden knows my wife left me for the Blood Crown heir. Everyone saw me standing there like a fool while fucking Kael defended her!"
Celestia’s face crumpled. Tears welled in her blue eyes.
My hands shook as I pulled out my car keys. My vision blurred. Not from tears. From rage. Pure, burning rage.
How dare she?
How dare Aria show up here looking like that? That dress. That makeup. That confidence I’d never seen before.
She was supposed to be broken. Defeated. Crawling back to beg for forgiveness.
Instead, she’d stood there like a queen. Called out my lies in front of everyone. Made me look like the villain.
And then he showed up.
Kael BloodCrown. The Alpha heir. The wolf every female in Meridian Territory wanted.
Standing beside my wife. Calling her his mate.
My wife.
MINE.
I slammed my fist against the car roof. Pain shot through my knuckles. I didn’t care.
I got behind the wheel. Started the engine.
My phone sat in the cup holder. I grabbed it. Opened the tracking app.
A red dot blinked on the screen.
Aria’s phone. I’d installed the tracker years ago. Just in case. Just to make sure she wasn’t doing anything behind my back.
The dot was moving. Heading toward the old industrial district.
I followed the red dot.
The city blurred past my windows. Tall buildings gave way to smaller ones. Clean streets became dirty alleys.
What was she doing out here?
I found a spot to park. Hidden behind a dumpster. Close enough to see the warehouse entrance.
Two figures stood outside. Kael and Aria.
My hands tightened on the wheel.
Even from here, I could see the way he looked at her. The way his hand lingered on her back. The way she smiled up at him—
Aria and Kael disappeared into the warehouse. The door closed behind them. And still I sat there. Staring. Waiting.
I looked back at the warehouse. Still quiet. Still closed.
What were they doing in there?
The question burned. Made my blood boil.
I should leave. Should take Lilith home. Should forget about Aria and move on with my life. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
But I couldn’t.
I couldn’t let her go.
Not because I loved her. I wasn’t sure I knew what love was anymore.
But because she was mine. Had always been mine. The mate bond might be broken, but five years of ownership didn’t just disappear.
She’d worn my ring. Carried my name. Bore my child.
And now she was in there. With him.
My hands clenched into fists.
"I’m going to do something," I said.
This wasn’t over.
Not by a long shot.
