Chapter 25: Chapter 25: His Body, Open Only to Her Embrace

Hearing this, Caden Lockwood’s lips curved into a barely-there smile, any annoyance, anger, and inexplicable emotions from before completely dissipated upon seeing her gentle expression.

With an eyebrow raised, he asked with interest, "In your eyes, what abilities do I have?"

"Plenty!" Her praise contained not a trace of exaggeration or flattery, just pure sincerity, "You’re smart, agile, wise, and you handle things without panic, plus you’ve accumulated so much life experience. A man like you doesn’t seem like someone who makes money by selling his body at all!"

Caden nodded, thoroughly enjoying the praise coming from her mouth, so clean, so pure, completely uplifting.

He was easily captured by her simple words of praise, soaring in a paradise of joy, too content to contemplate how she could have such power over him. He enjoyed it, feeling content and delighted without needing a reason.

"What’s wrong with selling my body?" he teased her, "Do you want to experience that ultimate pleasure while fully awake? This time, no charge."

"What a joke!" Evelyn’s heart raced, "Uncle, can you not use the same tricks on me that you use on other women? You can get money from those people, but I have no money. I still owe you tens of thousands!"

"Silly." Caden chuckled, his gaze softened as he stopped the car at the red light and took the chance to rub her forehead, "Erin Morgan, are you an alien?" His tone was indescribably affectionate.

Annoyed, Evelyn glared at Caden, "You’re the silly one, you’re the alien!"

He said nothing, but his laugh grew even more joyful.

She watched him, always feeling that his smiles didn’t come as naturally as others.

Smiling is something innate, but his was more like adapting, learning, testing, like a newborn baby still getting used to the instinct of smiling.

Recalling these few days of interaction with him, he truly hadn’t smiled much at all!

But his rich, mellow laughter was so deep and pleasing, like a fine wine, intoxicating to the core.

Evelyn’s face heated up, her gaze swiftly diverted, embarrassed by how flustered he always made her.

And to this day, she still didn’t know his name!

He didn’t seem to intend to tell her voluntarily.

If she asked deliberately, it would seem as if she had some secretive motive.

If she didn’t know, she didn’t know; calling him Uncle was just fine!

The cold air in the car gradually filled with warmth, and the streetlights on the two of them were suffused with a gentle tenderness...

Back at the villa, Evelyn busied herself in the kitchen, while Caden sat on the sofa. From this angle, he only needed to lift his eyes to see the petite figure in the kitchen.

He had tasted her cooking once and had already memorized that flavor. Even when eating dishes made by other chefs, they all seemed unpalatable.

He used to not find eating a particularly enjoyable thing, but now he found himself looking forward to it.

That woman was truly amazing!

His body was so proud, yet, his little dude only reacted to her.

Now, even his stomach seemed to only want to welcome the food she made?

This dependence on her didn’t make him feel the slightest discomfort; rather, he found himself increasingly addicted to it.

"Erin Morgan!" Caden called out, "Is the food ready?"

"Almost!" Evelyn’s head popped out, "Go wash your hands! It’ll be ready soon!"

"Hurry." Caden urged, "Do you know what time it is now?"

Evelyn, displeased, shot Caden a glare before returning to her cooking.

Caden, in a good mood, stretched comfortably, then with long strides, he walked to the kitchen. Seeing Evelyn already serving the food, he took the bowl from her, pulled her by the wrist, and led her to the dining table.

"What’s up?" Evelyn asked, puzzled.

"Let’s eat together." Caden coldly extended the invitation as if it were the most obvious thing.
