Sinner System-Chapter 554: Final Dungeon - Final Floor (Part 8)

"I never understood it...how a mere Greater Demon posing as a Dragon was chosen to become a General. And now, once I defeat you, I shall prove that I was the right choice, not you!"

"<Hm? Who are you>?" I responded, my opponent’s eyes widening slightly before glaring at me murderously.

"What?! H-How dare you-...allow me to remind you, I am-...!"

"<Actually, I don’t really care. Let’s just hurry up and get this over with>," I cut him off with a sigh.

"Bastard...! Very well, then. Behold, my almighty power, [Demonic Art: Corrosion Cannon]!" He roared, his hands transforming.

They expanded sharply, before his palms opened up, his hands taking shape and forming wide cylinders.

As they finished morphing, he raised his right arm towards me, before a mass of viscous, light green liquid got launched out of the cannon-like cylinder his hand had transformed into.

I sighed before veering across the air, the liquid shooting past my right side before plummeting down and hitting the ground, a sharp hiss and sizzle ringing out as the liquid rapidly ate through the floor.

A highly corrosive acid, how troublesome. It’ll be a pain if I get hit by one of those.

As he fired another acid blast towards me, I unleashed a concentrated bolt of lightning, a bright flash and sizzle ringing out as the attacks collided, a light green smoke cloud bursting out as my lightning vaporized the acid.

I suppose I should put in some effort and end this quickly, this will be a pain if it drags on for too long.

The air surrounding me began crackling as I generated lightning all around me, which burst out with a bright electric flash and enveloped my entire body. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

I spread out my wings and shot towards him at full speed as he fired out another acid blast, which burst into a cloud of mist as it collided against the lightning over my left shoulder.

He grimaced before flying back as he began to charge Negative Energy over the tip of his tail...I see, it seems he can’t generate Negative Energy with his hands while using this Demonic Art.

And those acid blasts, he can’t fire them in quick succession, it looks like he needs a few seconds between blasts.

Does he have any other Demonic Arts that are viable in battle? I suppose I’ll find out soon enough, seeing as how these acid blasts are no longer effective.

I swerved down as he fired out a drilling beam of Negative Energy at me from his tail, the beam narrowly missing the top of my head, before he unleashed a swirling blast of acid down towards me as I zipped up at top speed.

Another green smoke cloud erupted as the acid slammed onto the lightning wrapped around me and vaporized upon impact, before I strained my wings and put on a burst of speed as I closed in on him, reaching for his throat as I intensified the lightning around my hand and claws.

He struck my forearm with his tail, seizing up as he came into contact against my lightning, his hands reverting to normal as he gritted his teeth and slashed at my head with the claws on his right hand.

He grazed my snout as I tilted my head back, before letting out a snarl as he drove his left claws towards my stomach with a twisting thrust of his arm.

I arched back and drove my knee up, striking his elbow and lifting the trajectory of his arm, his claws grazing the top of my right shoulder, before I whipped my claws across at his throat.

He zipped back in alarm, stiffened with a grimace as my claws grazed his neck, before I rapidly twisted my body and spun across, whipping my tail towards him.

"[D-Demon Art: Corrosion Cannon]!"

My tail slammed against the left side of his head with a sharp thunk as he rapidly chanted to transform his right hand and fired out another acid blast, but to no avail, as it burst into a cloud of green smoke as it struck my chest.

He swayed through the air with a dazed groan, before I swiftly swung my arm out and grabbed his throat, a stuttered yell of pain ringing out as the lightning around my hand electrocuted him upon contact.

A sharp sizzle rang out as the skin around his neck got scorched and blackened, charred bits falling off.

It’s a good thing he isn’t immune to Elemental attacks, otherwise I would have had to defeat him with nothing but physical attacks, that would have taken a while.

But it seems he has little to no resistance against Elemental attacks, most Archdemons are not this severely affected against my lightning.

How convenient for me...this fight would like have lasted a while longer if not for that. But every time he so much as grazed me, the electrocution momentarily slowed him down, giving me openings to counter.

And now, with me in direct contact with him, wracking him in a state of constant electrocution, this fight is all but over, he is completely helpless in my grasp.

Now, then, I should put him out of his misery and bring this to an end.

I thrust my arm forward and pierced into the middle of his torso, my claws tearing through his skin and flesh, boring in as I continued to electrocute him, before reaching his Core.

I clasped my claws around the orb, gripping it firmly before yanking it out of his body with a sharp twist, and crushing it between my claws as bits of flesh began to form around it.

His body went limp and slumped lifelessly as the lightning around me dissipated, the shards of his Core raining down as I let go of his neck and dropped him, sending him plummeting down towards the ground.

As he flopped onto the ground with a thud, I let out a slow exhale before looking around...ah, it appears that all but one of the Archdemons have been defeated...
