Sinner System-Chapter 526: Final Dungeon - Fourth Floor (Part 3)
Within the ring of pillars, was more sand, and standing in the middle of the space, was a humanoid, dog-like Monster.
It had a slender, agile build, covered in jet-black fur, except for a vertical stripe of white fur stretching down from the middle of its forehead to its snout.
It had red eyes and curved, sharp fangs, with gloves with sharp metal claws on its hands. It was taller than Lycanthropes, and based on its Aura, astronomically more powerful.

Hm, she’s also got a Personalis Arma, those metal-claw gloves. They’re called Rending Claws, and boost her slashing and piercing attacks by fifty percent.
"Before we begin, I shall give you a chance, humans. I have no interest in killing needlessly, but I cannot allow anyone to pass beyond this floor. So, leave this place," She spoke, as she stepped forward.
"Yeah, no. That just isn’t an option. And I mean that literally...even if we wanted to leave, we have no way of exiting," I responded dryly.
"I see...what a shame. It seems I have no choice," She sighed, before introducing herself as the ring of pillars began to expand, "I am Kanine, the Hound Queen, of the Demon Lord’s Sentinels."
Petrus swiftly dropped down into the shadows, along with Brid and Jax, before those of us who were still eligible for the roulette were teleported in front of the pillars, one of the pillars glowing brightly.
As the glow began to jump between the pillars faster and faster, I glanced around at Aria, Jaden and Aarav...this Monster has both Elemental and Status Effect Immunity, so Jaden or Aarav would probably be the best match-up against her.
Status effects are basically half my arsenal, and Aria’s flames aren’t going to have any effect on Kanine, so-...
Damn it.
I grimaced as the roulette came to a stop, on the pillar in front of Aria. Come on, this has to be fucking rigged...
She got teleported into the ring of pillars, before cracking her neck and slamming her fists together.
"Guess it’s my turn now. Here’s an idea...if you’re really that against fighting, why not just give up? I mean, seriously, what could you possibly base your loyalty to the Demon Lord on?" She inquired, as I watched with a sense of growing concern.
"Loyalty? Oh, it’s nothing of the sort. It’s an agreement. If I prevent the humans who invade this Dungeon from proceeding past this floor, I shall be free to do as I please.
I wish to experience everything this world has to offer, even the most mundane of things. It is true that I do not wish to kill if I don’t have to.
But for the sake of my goal, I will not hesitate to do what I must. I have no grudge against you humans. Even so, if you stand in the way of my goal, I shall cut you down," She responded, before chanting as she whipped her right arm across, "[Claw Slash]!"
She fired out rapid, slashing waves from her claws towards Aria, who swiftly zipped across to evade them, coming to a skidding halt across the sand, before letting out a slow exhale as she chanted...
"[Blaze Ignition: Flare]!"
Flames erupted around her as her entire body began glowing with a fiery hue, her hair bursting into red flames and standing up on end.
Crimson flames erupted around her gauntlets as she slammed her fists together, Kanine narrowing her eyes at her.
"What intense flames. But it is no use, flames have no effect on me."
"Yeah, I know...but how about this?!" Exclaimed Aria, as she fired out a swirling blast of Negative Energy and crimson flames.
Kanine leapt across to evade it, the attack colliding against the ground and erupting fiercely, before the Monster shot towards Aria with immense speed, racing across the sand rapidly.
She lunged forward as she closed in, ducking her head down as Aria drove her fist towards the Sentinel’s head.
As Kanine evaded the strike, she whipped her claws across at Aria’s side, starting to cut into her flesh before her arm got blown back as a sharp burst of flames erupted upon impact, the Monster’s eyes widening in surprise.
She quickly sprang back as Aria drove her knee up powerfully, before backing away and getting some distance.
"I see...it seems eruptions of flames trigger upon any impact against your body. The flames themselves are no threat to me, but the force of the eruption is quite powerful. And it appears that you possess a regeneration ability of a similar potency to mine," Remarked Kanine, as the claw punctures she’d inflicted closed up.
Hm...I get why Aria’s not using Descent, she probably wants to keep it in reserve for the fight against the Demon Lord, like I am.
And with Blaze Ignition, why’d she go with Flare instead of Supernova? Is she being overly conservative? Should I call out and tell her to-...?
No...at least, not yet.
I have to trust her judgement. She isn’t stupid, and she’s plenty experienced at this point. So, I’ll trust that she knows what she’s doing.
"Keeping your distance, huh?" Remarked Aria, Kanine taking a step back as she took a step forward, before adding, "You’re a cautious one, aren’t you?"
"Like I said, I will achieve my goal at any cost. And you are not the only one I will have to fight, so it is only logical that I proceed with care and caution," She responded, before snapping open her jaws and unleashing a rapid, swirling fireball towards Aria, who swung her arm across and batted it away.
"Yeah, that’s not gonna work."
"Yes, I assumed you must be immune to flames as well, considering your Magic. However, I would be remiss if I did not at least test it out. No matter. My flames are far from my only means to kill you."
