Simulation Game: Crisis Management-Chapter 371 - 180: Critical Operation (Part 3)
As soon as they smelled the aroma of the food, a few people instinctively swallowed their saliva. They hadn’t eaten since the morning, and carrying the 20 or 30 pounds of gear was quite exhausting.
"Let’s eat."
"Alright, Zhang Zhong!"
Everyone was waiting for Zhang Wenjun to give the word. At his command, a few people in the front row pounced like wolves, swiftly handing out meals to their colleagues in the back row.
Gu Ji took his share. The food was quite good, with cherry pork, braised lion’s head, and chicken stew.
Having been in Ningzhou for so many years, he had gradually gotten used to the light and slightly sweet taste of southern cuisine.
While shoveling food into his mouth, Gu Ji surveyed the surroundings. This place was desolate, without a house in sight. It was clearly a tactical location chosen in advance by the police control center, likely to prevent the suspect’s informants from spotting the operation team.
It seemed the real action was still a while off!
Sure enough.
Less than ten minutes after they finished eating, three more special police transport vehicles arrived, all with Ningzhou plates. But this was just the beginning; vehicles continued to arrive steadily.
Gao Bo finally understood.
"Looks like this is a large-scale operation, with eight regular transport vehicles and around 120 people. They must have left in batches to avoid alarming people on the highway?"
"That’s probably it."
Just as Gu Ji finished speaking, Zhang Wenjun received a message on his radio to step out of the vehicle.
About ten minutes later, he returned with a document, standing in the aisle of the vehicle.
"Our current operation is in coordination with Ningzhou National Security personnel and the Wuxuan District SWAT assault team to execute arrests. Here are our fugitive capture goals: Sun Hengfei, fugitive from the October 16 major violent attack in Huaizhou, 31 years old, elongated face, medium-long hair, about 173 cm in height, slim build;"
"Zhao Wenwu, fugitive from the October 16 major violent attack in Huaizhou, about 165 cm tall, with short hair and a bald spot, medium build, a dragon tattoo on the outer right arm, and a cigarette burn scar on his right wrist; Liu Guanghui, Ministry of Public Security Class A fugitive; Pang Guomin, Ministry of Public Security Class B fugitive; Li Youhua, involved in multiple homicide cases, extremely dangerous..."
"Damn, is this a den of thieves?"
Gao Bo muttered under his breath, while Gu Ji’s attention was entirely focused on "the October 16 Huaizhou major violent attack," "October 16, wasn’t that last Friday?"
Zhang Wenjun read out a total of five main suspects, then turned the page and continued:
"Regarding the October 16 major violent attack, the incident occurred last night at 21:34. The Huaizhou Bureau’s patrol and SWAT brigade detected through intelligence monitoring that the Ningzhou National Security was pursuing major suspects: Sun Hengfei, Zhao Wenwu, and Chen Hong, who appeared in Fukang District, within the Cultural Tourism District. They then tasked Team Three officers Li Chun, Wang Yekun, auxiliary officers Jiang Yilei, and Zhang Jun, along with two National Security special service personnel, to conduct a clue-checking operation."
"According to footage from the law enforcement cameras, the six arrived near Building 29, Unit 2 of the district. Through local inquiry and surveillance of the area, they confirmed the identities of suspects inside and then reported the findings to the Ningzhou National Security Bureau, the Huaizhou Bureau, and the SWAT team for preparation an arrest operation. However, while awaiting support, National Security special service personnel spotted two suspicious individuals about to exit and recognized them as the disguised suspects."
"A confrontation immediately ensued. During the clash, Sun Hengfei suddenly charged at them, wielding a knife in each hand, stabbing and cursing. Zhao Wenwu drew out a modified nail gun and, along with Chen Hong, who was hiding with a modified air rifle, launched an attack at the same time. Standing at the road junction, Wang Yekun shielded his National Security colleagues, facing the attackers head-on and was hit in the neck and chest. The incident led to Officer Wang Yekun’s immediate death, auxiliary officer Jiang Yilei’s severe blood loss, National Security special service injuries, and currently undergoing treatment in the hospital. The critical suspect, Chen Hong, was apprehended, while Sun Hengfei and Zhao Wenwu escaped."
What!?
After Zhang Wenjun completed the case briefing, all the SWAT officers widened their eyes, unable to believe this violent attack was so terrifyingly brazen!
Gu Ji was even more stunned in his seat.
National Security personnel injured.
Friday.
Could it be...
