The secretaries and other minor staff, couldn’t help but linger longer in the lobby, eager to take a glimpse of whoever was coming.
Those capable of coming to the Nexus Centre building weren’t to be trifled with.
As the cars came to a halt in front of the building, Mr. Elvis and his secretary were also exiting from the elevator.
The moment, others saw him, they all greeted him with respect.
"Good morning, Mr. Elvis!"

Diamond, looked at the man she had looked deeply into after knowing that he was entrusted to manage the Nexus Centre building as a whole.
This man was the owner of a reputable property management company. His company was solely responsible for the building and over time, it expanded and receives several buildings under it as well.
The man wasn’t exactly perfect but he was at least loyal. While others couldn’t see who owned the building previously, with her capable son, it was quite easy.
Mr. Elvis was loyal, dedicated and honest. Looking through into his financials, the man had never pocketed a single cent of the rent in the years he started managing the property.
Those who tried to embezzle from the company or cut corners, were swiftly dealt with in the period. After seeing his earnestness and also knowing that his family were her greatest fans, she developed a soft spot for him.
She felt no need to fire him and replace him.
As long as he continues to be good, she didn’t mind keeping him but if his thoughts stray from the path, it wouldn’t be difficult to find a replacement. If worse comes to worst, she would just assign one of her female executives to the job.
Those girls were serious workaholics but provided results all the time. How can she not be happy with them?
Getting back to the story at hand, Diamond, understood that meeting someone that loyal, she might meet some setbacks or get underestimated. Something that she obviously didn’t want to see.
When spending her own money, she didn’t like being judged by anyone. If someone has issues, let that person earn more than her and spend however he or she wishes.
At the same time, she was someone who liked avoiding trouble if possible. Which is why, unlike those protagonists in the books, who likes wearing shabby clothes and going to high end places, only to get disdained and suffer. Anyway, back to the matter at hand, after sizing the man, she smilingly raised her feet and started walking towards Mr. Elvis, who was also approaching after his brief halt, earlier.
"Ms. Perry, welcome!" Mr. Elvis was someone who had dealt with a lot of people in his life.
He didn’t look like he was nervous at all.
"Thank you for having me, Mr. Elvis," she politely responded, stretching her soft hands towards the man.
Mr. Elvis reached his hand toward her, feeling quite complicated inside. "The pleasure is all mine!"
If his family knew that he shook hands with Diamond, they would be ecstatic, right?
When he held her hand, he couldn’t help but be stunned.
She had verry soft hands and yet they were quite firm on the handshake. In fact, she might be the strongest woman he had shaken hands with.
Diamond wasn’t aiming at sacring the man. Once she had shaken hands with him, not knowing what his thoughts were, she pulled back, saying, "lets head inside, shall we? I do have another appointment to catch later!" a smile on her face.
Mr. Elvis ingratiatingly said, "Sure, please follow me."
"Sure," she didn’t stand on ceremony at all.
Seeing her quite easy to talk to, Mr. Elvis inwardly sighed with relief as he took the lead while she follows.
Knowing that she was now the owner of the whole building, he couldn’t help but start introducing the place as they headed towards the elevator.
Diamond listened attentively, as she checked the place out as well. At the same time, she also noticed that she was being watched and some bold ones were even recording secretly but she didn’t truly care.
It wasn’t like she could hide it all the time, right?
