SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS-Chapter 954 - 952: SISTER HAVE YOUR BACK
While working and pouring with sweat, Diamond not only felt tired but very energetic. It was quite fun for her to be honest. Moreover, she got to work like that without anyone bothering her.
Although she loved being at the center of attention. It can only be that way without her parents involved.
The day went on peacefully and with everyone together, the moment even felt special. On their way home, Diamond was all smiles as she played on her phone until Andrea started reporting what happened to Ruby.
She was so angry but for the sake of not making her parents worried, she suppressed that emotion and furiously had Andrea look into Ruby’s friends.
After checking the urgent information on the friends, she sneered and that couldn’t be hidden from her parents who were busy chatting happily.
"Darling, what’s wrong?" Ma Perry asked as she looked at Diamond worriedly.
Diamond, seeing that she had been seen, smiled sheepishly at her mother and coyly responded, "Nothing, Mama. Just a small fry causing trouble!"
When the parents heard that, they didn’t budge for more information. After all, There was no one in the world who was best at dealing with troublemakers. They were not worried in that aspect at all.
After fooling her parents, Diamond sighed with relief and continued to check the information.
{Mother, you know that you can’t ask Aunty Ruby about what happened today right, if she didn’t tell you?}
When that was said, Diamond’s eyes widened as something dawned on her.
Damn. She was planning on confirming Ruby about that but if she did that, wouldn’t that mean that she could eavesdrop on others without their consent?
Her back suddenly got drenched in cold sweat. That was quite dangerous. It was good that Andrea had reminded her. However, she couldn’t just let the matter go like that lest Ruby gets affected. These girls had been her friends for years and yet something like that happened. Would she be okay?
Diamond was worried all the way home and when they got home, Ruby was all smiles, as if nothing happened and was even looking forward to the family outing the next day.
After another long day, the family of four had to part and Diamond distracted because of Ruby’s issue was trying to find a way to have a pep chat with Ruby. However, the opportunity didn’t seem to find her at all.
She distressfully made way to her bedroom where she took a shower, changed into pajamas before plopping on bed scrolling absentmindedly on her phone.
However, as fate decreed, luck seems to shine on her that moment as there was a knock on the door.
"Come in!" she called out and moments later, Ruby stepped into the room and Diamond looked at her baby sister with sparkling eyes.
She had brought herself over. Wasn’t that too good to be true?
"You can’t sleep?" Diamond asked teasingly, watching Ruby holding a teddy bear.
Ruby chuckled sheepishly as she walked towards her sister’s bed while thinking about how the moment she tried to sleep, the events of that day came to haunt her like a nightmare.
Her heart felt stifled and without anyone to talk to about that matter, she could only think about Diamond. Although Diamond’s pep-talk usually hurt to listen, they really helped. Perhaps, she could get enlightened.
That’s how she ended up dragging herself to Diamond’s room.
"Um, I have something on my mind. I hope that I am not disturbing you, sister!"
Diamond flashed a grin at Ruby and waved her hands as she sat up, "How can that be? Come over here. let us the sisters have a chat until you are sleepy. Or should we watch a few movies?"
Ruby was happy to hear that. She could tell that her sister didn’t dislike her impromptu visit. She was even willing to accommodate her and make her feel happy.
How could anyone insult her sister?
It was her friend’s fault and not hers. She wasn’t going to play with her anymore.
That night, the two sisters barely slept as they chatted throughout the night. From simple topics to the real topic that Ruby wanted.
"Ruby, whatever you do, as long as it’s done with the right mindset. Always know that your sister has your back always.
My life at times might seem boring, after all, I barely spend time with friends but the friends I have are all busy. We can’t spare time to go around and play. However, what we all know is that, while our friendship might not be truly based on pure emotions, we all know what we want and we wouldn’t do anything to sabotage it for silly reasons.
That kind of friendship, to me, is actually better and not messy at all. When two people no longer look the same or no longer at the same wavelength, problems start occurring."
Diamond spoke about her few former friends she had before getting rich. She hadn’t talked much to them to be honest. What was even shocking was that, around the time when the netizens, online were scolding her and talking nonsense, Alice, the one she gave her furniture to before moving to Cherry Court, was part of them.
The disparity between people and status can truly make people sour and have thoughts that they shouldn’t.
In summary, Diamond was hoping that Ruby shouldn’t be too upset because of this. At least she got lucky and get to learn about that early.
What if she had earned a lot of money herself and then that happens?
Imagine, treating them like friends and telling them secrets, only for them, one day, because of jealousy, to sell all those secrets to others?
Wouldn’t that be scary?
That’s why it was better to consider quality instead of quantity. Even without many friends, life can still go on.
With her sister’s pep talk, Ruby felt much better. After all, having a friend who was filled with nothing but envy and malicious intent just because her family became better compared to hers was truly suffocating.
It was truly the best to get rid of such a friend before she suffered much worse.
As for how people would see her, what did that have to do with her?
When have they ever stopped talking?
