The main system greeted her the very first second, she snapped her eyes open around six in the morning, the second day of being in the new city.

Diamond’s grogginess all vanished when she heard about a factory. Due to the establishment of the laboratory, Nancy helped her in purchasing several factories in Frin City which were still under renovation and it was expected that by June, production of beverages should be starting.

As for cosmetics, that should take a while, but according to the reports, the scientists were making progress and by July they should be having real results.

Of course, if she were to openly tell them what to do. These people would be making her beauty creams by now. But since they were paid to use their brains, and come up with cheaper and better substitutes for the original ingredients, she had on the recipes. She wasn’t going to hasten the process.

Everlasting Factory was a factory that was recently shut down. The owner went bankrupt and sold it. The factory mainly produced snacks; chips, sweets and the like. That was something that she didn’t have, to be honest. She found the factory quite interesting.

Moreover, it was as if she was being pushed towards another business venture she had never thought about. How could she not be excited?

Nonetheless, she decided to check on this factory later that day and push it to Nancy once she was done with what she was doing. Or should she hire another assistant to help her?

Perhaps she should find someone again.

Diamond set aside those thoughts since she couldn’t come to a decision and started with her morning chores. Once she was done, she met with Richard, who was also done with his morning obligations.

The two of them had a hearty breakfast, with congee, picked vegetables, buns, and fresh milk.

After breakfast, the two friends held hands as they went to the garage, where Diamond’s eyes lit up as she looked at the cars on display.

Diamond punched Richard playfully as she counted the cars quickly. There were six sportscars, two sedans, one off-road vehicle and one SUV.

"You are truly ..... I love them. I like your garage so much," she sincerely praised as she looked at Richard and the man beamed brightly when he heard that.

"Hehe, these are my treasures. It’s a pity that the garage can only accept two more cars."

Diamond chuckled when she heard that and looked at him before saying, "Then how about building another garage?" thinking about the extraordinary garage she had designed for her new home.

Richard’s eyes lit up when he heard that. He happily smacked Diamond on the shoulder. "Hehe, good friend! I guess I will do that!" very happy with the idea.

After the two shared merrily about cars and garages, Richard picked his red favorite sportscar from Angel currently priced over A$20 million, but with all the modifications done on it, the car was now worth around A$30 million. Almost the same price tag as her current favorite Aclerean.

The birthday banquet was going to be held at a certain resort later that evening. Richard had left the planning to an event company. He just needed to show up when it was time and enjoy the party.

"Dear, send me to this address first before we go anywhere further!" as the car drove away from the mansion, Diamond said to Richard, giving him the address of the factory, she just received.

When Richard heard that, he was quite surprised since he didn’t expect her to ask him about that.

"That’s an industrial area. Why do you want to go there?" Richard was curious as he punched in the address on the GPS.

Diamond smiled as she looked to the other side, admiring the beautiful pine trees so tall and majestic.

"I just bought a factory there. I want to see what it’s like in person," she nonchalantly revealed, surprising Richard, who didn’t expect to get such an answer.

He dumbfoundedly looked at her, completely surprised by how calm she seemed.

"Are you telling me that you bought a factory without seeing it?"

Diamond chuckled when she heard the shock in Richard’s tone.

"Um. Since I liked it, I got it. Anyway, let’s start there. I want to see what else needs changing there!"

Richard was obviously at a loss for words but still drove where Diamond wanted and along the way, the two friends didn’t talk about boys but business. They might be interested in boys, but they were still business people, and they loved their conversation a lot.

Two hours of being on the road, they reached the address and both of them were quite surprised at how not-so-big the factory was. Compared to the factories she owned; it was half in size. No wonder why it was used for snacks and sweets.

Having the keys to the gate, Diamond unlocked the small gate and helped herself and Richard into the compound.

There wasn’t much space in the yard but for parking a few cars and small trucks in particular, the space was there.

The factory had an office space with around two offices, one hall, restrooms, two storage rooms and lastly, the factory area.

There was four production lines which Andrea confirmed to be in good use, though it wouldn’t be bad to replace them with some new machines. But since they were working, why bother to change?

Even if she has a lot of money. It shouldn’t be wasted like that.

"So, what do you plan to do with this?" Richard couldn’t help but ask as he surveyed the area.

He wasn’t into the manufacturing business. Not interested in it but since his friend was interested, he could only ask.

Diamond also didn’t have a clue. After all, she just got to the factory a few hours ago. However, there was that temptation to continue with the business. After all, if she were to truly sell sweets and snacks, she might not suffer a loss.

After all, as long as she endorses the items to her fans, they would support her, right?

"I guess create my own brand and make the tastiest snacks I could ever come up with!" after a while of thought, she answered.

Richard smilingly looked at her and patted her shoulder, "Then I look forward to enjoying them when they start selling!"

Diamond grinned at him as she patted him as well. "Then keep an eye on my factory for me in the future."

"You ...." He took a deep breath as he looked at her and she sheepishly grinned at him, knowing that she was indeed a bit too unserious. But who could be blamed for it?

"Don’t worry. I will try to see if the previous employees can still be used. If they could, then use them since they are already proficient with these machines already," Diamond reassuringly said, after her quick brain scanned for a solution.

This time, Richard sighed with relief and agreed with her.

After checking the factory, the two finally left and continued with their planned itinerary.

On their way, Richard helped Diamond greatly by sharing about places that he knew or heard of. It made it easier and faster for her to know more information about the city, which was very helpful.

While the two were about to enjoy what the city could give them, in a certain house, a man in his forties had a weary expression on his face as he looked at several resumes, he had printed a very long time ago and yet didn’t seem to be of help.

This man was none other than the manager of the factory that Diamond had just received.

Ever since the owner went bankrupt and started selling, he was one of the many who were affected. After all, the factory getting shut down and sold meant no more jobs for him and the other employees.

Getting jobs nowadays is very difficult. It was not an easy fit. When he thought about the distress on his wife’s face these past few days, he felt his temples throb.

’When will things get better?’ he couldn’t help but lament, as he wasn’t even sure himself when he would get a job.
