SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS-Chapter 839 - 837: ARRIVAL
Chapter 839: Chapter 837: ARRIVAL
After being in the air for more than two hours, the plane finally landed.
Diamond went through the familiar process and finally found herself heading towards the terminal gate with a kind security guard pushing the trolley for her.
"Diamond!"
Familiar voices rang in her ears as she approached the gate, and the same voice also attracted a lot of attention.
Diamond chuckled as she spotted the twins she hadn’t seen in ages.
"Patience! Precious!" She cheerfully waved at them, and the twins excitedly ran towards her before everyone was embroiled in a tight hug.
The twins came to pick her up alongside security, which helped put the bags into the car.
Once everyone was in the car, the car started moving, and Diamond found herself getting bombarded with questions she was very happy to answer.
Diamond didn’t plan to stay at a hotel. Why bother when there was a home waiting for her there?
So, she was taken to the Ace family’s villa, where Anita was waiting for her already.
After not seeing each other for a long time, Diamond was happy to see the woman who nearly became her mother-in-law. Unfortunately, Dean was taken, and she didn’t like being with taken men.
Dean didn’t really stay at the villa since he had his own space, but she heard from his mother that he would be stopping by at night to see her.
As for the father of the house, the man was busy, like his son. However, he would return home at night as well.
Diamond took out the gifts she brought for the Ace family. Her suitcases mostly contained precious gifts which everyone truly liked.
Hours trickled by, and while Diamond was enjoying herself with the Ace family, Gael, who had been on the plane for hours, finally arrived home.
Due to the delay of the second flight, he ended up arriving in Voxfort City around dusk. Thankfully, his mother was there to pick him up.
This time, Candice didn’t come. She was busy with something else, which made him feel more at ease. His sister loves teasing him so much.
On the way back home, his mother’s smile never left her face as he talked about Diamond and how much their relationship had progressed.
She was also happy to know that Diamond had prepared gifts for her.
"It’s a pity that you didn’t go to the farm. It’s very big. You have eaten the chicken. How is it?"
"It’s delicious. The best I have ever eaten!" he truthfully responded, recalling the taste of the food at Diamond’s place.
"It would be great if I could ship some of it here!" Grace sighed, missing the taste already.
Mother and son talked about this and that on the way home.
When they got there, Grace was eager to see what Diamond had sent, and when she saw the gifts, her eyes welled with tears.
As his mother was in an emotional trance, he took that opportunity to call her and inform her that he had arrived.
After a few rings, her familiar voice sounded in his ears.
[Dear, have you arrived?] Her cheerful voice soothed his heart.
"Um. Just got home. Did you travel safely?"
[Hehe, I did. Glad it went well.]
He couldn’t help but hear the loud music blasting in her background. It made him curious where she was. However, he didn’t ask right away but talked about some other things, and before he was about to hang up, he asked her, "Babe, are you perhaps outside?" checking the time on his phone, which read [19:35.]
[Um, came out with the twins. Planning to enjoy some street food.]
For some reason, he couldn’t help but feel relieved when he heard about food. It would be heart-wrenching if she visited a club the same day they separated.
A smile formed on his face. "Okay, babes. Enjoy. I will call later. I won’t disturb."
[Sure. Later,] she said before dropping the call.
Gael looked helplessly at the call that had been dropped, but when he thought about what the other person in the background was saying. He could only accept that outcome.
With the call made, he returned to the room where he had left his mother. Only to find her speaking in an exaggerated tone while the butler shook his head helplessly.
"Second, if you don’t come home tomorrow. I will be taking the gifts fourth brought. You really don’t want to see what your fourth sister-in-law sent for you, right?"
Until now, he was still in shock to know that the cat was out of the bag. His relationship was exposed. Although his mother didn’t basically tell everyone about who he was with. They all knew.
He couldn’t help but wonder when Diamond would tell her family as well.
Unknown to him and her, they already knew. They were simply waiting for her to spill the beans.

Back to Diamond, after the call with Gael, she continued with the eating spree with the twins. Who would have known that a food street was introduced, and there were so many delicious foods for her to try?
The eating spree lasted for two hours, and by the time the three of them returned home, it was around 10 pm.
When they got home, Diamond wasn’t surprised to find Dean and Prince at the house. After all, she was told beforehand that they would be returning.
After exchanging pleasantries, Diamond followed Dean, who had so much to talk to her about. The two of them went outside to the gazebo with some drinks and snacks to munch on as they chatted.
"How was your flight?"
"Nothing fancy, but it was good!"
"That’s great to hear," he couldn’t help but say as his gaze lingered on that suspicious ring on her finger.
Diamond didn’t notice that at all but cheerfully spoke. "So, do you know what kind of people will be attending the auction?"
Talking about the auction, Dean’s focus shifted. He started explaining further about this kind of auction.
It was one of the major auctions usually held in Strawford City by an auction house. The items for auction were not revealed beforehand. Everyone would be going in blind, and that makes the auction very interesting.
It makes the event very hyped, and others would be looking forward to whatever they could afford at such an event.
Although she didn’t get enough information. Diamond, nonetheless, was filled with so much anticipation for the coming auction. After all, money was never a problem, and as long as she came across something that she genuinely liked, she was going to bid for it and win.
After the small talk about the auction, the topic shifted to something personal.
"So, Dean. How is it? I haven’t heard any news so far. Are you still with your lady friend?" she asked curiously, her eyes sparkling for an answer.
After all, the last time they talked about his partner was. She remembered clearly how he told her he wanted to propose to her, and yet it’s been ages without any word. Could it be that he was changing his mind or something else?
The sooner she knows the answer, the sooner she can devise a plan. He was still on her list if found single.
Dean wasn’t expecting to hear such a question. He was caught off guard for a moment before a smile appeared on his face.
"Um, we are still together. We have been both busy, but I hope to engage and wed her this year," he truthfully told her, though there was a slight haze in his eyes as he said so.
Diamond was silent for a moment after hearing that answer.
He was going to engage and wed this very same year. Damn, wasn’t that a bit too much to tell her?
Nonetheless, she shook away those thoughts from her mind and plastered a smile as she looked at Dean.
"Congratulations, then. Don’t forget to send me an invitation. It’s been ages since I attended a wedding," she laughed dryly as she halfheartedly congratulated Dean.
Dean’s face twitched when he heard that. His fist clenched beneath the table, and he plastered a fake smile of his own before answering, "I will surely do so. What about you? Any good news?"
When that was said, Diamond’s sadness quickly vanished away and a sincere smile blossomed on her face.
"Hehe, I guess that the deities are finally looking up on me this time," she cheerfully chuckled as she placed her left hand on the table. "I got myself a boyfriend!" she added as she wiggled the finger with the ring.
Dean felt a sharp stab in his heart when he heard her confirming about her relationship and that smile on her face. He felt that he had indeed lost something, and the thought of it hurt so much.
However, he couldn’t show it, no matter how much he felt pained. He could only wish her the best. Just like how she did.
"I am happy for you. I hope that you found yourself a good one!" he said in a probing tone, curious about the kind of man who would make a move on Diamond, and that’s where he lost it.
If he had known that by saying such words, he would unleash the boasting side of Diamond. He wouldn’t have bothered to say anything at all.
Dean, for once in his life, felt how painful it was to listen to a woman he had some feelings for talking about another man with stars in her eyes.
But what could he do?
They were not destined to be together. Otherwise, the deities should have made them meet before he was with his current partner.
He could only bruise inwardly and pray to cast these feelings as soon as possible.
