SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS-Chapter 794 - 792: AN APPOINTMENT WITH GAEL
Chapter 794: Chapter 792: AN APPOINTMENT WITH GAEL
[Guys, who wants to sell me his or her ticket? I am willing to bargain. Pretty please!]
[Hehe, I tried my luck at the second event and guess who got the ticket. Mama Mia, Athary here I come.]
[Guys for those who got the tickets. If you can’t manage to take days off, just give us the tickets. Okay!]
[I can’t believe that you guys are going crazy for some concert. If you are dying to listen to someone singing, why don’t you buy tickets for Feli and JZ? They are having concerts as well. Can’t you see them?]
[Tsk, tsk. Upstairs, if you have nothing to say, then get the heck away from this place before you piss us off. Who are you to come and promote your people on our page?]
[Exactly. I am getting sick and tired of these people. Whether black fans or trolls. Aren’t you afraid of her wrath?]
[I guess that Diamond hadn’t shown her mightiness lately. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be doing this.]
Diamond chuckled as she read the comments on different social platforms concerning the ticket event she did yesterday.
It was well received and all one thousand tickets were distributed fairly. Now they were in the period where others were coaxing those with tickets to sell or exchange their tickets for something else.
Or in the cases she spotted earlier, others were using this chance to promote their stars and try to pull her JEWELS to support them. Thanks to these commenters, Diamond became aware that there were several concerts being held in Frin City in May and hers happen to clash with a few.
These people should be furious and want to steal her thunder, but she wasn’t afraid. Moreover, they were the one desperate and not her. While they wanted money from fans, she wanted to give it back.
As long as they didn’t cross the line, Diamond would pretend as if she wasn’t seeing anything, but if they did anything else, then she would remind them just how crazy she could be.
Being the first of the month, Diamond couldn’t sit still at home. So that morning she visited the foundation and held a long meeting which got her head burning and making her regret even going there.
Who knew that there was so much waiting for her there? Her hands nearly swelled because there was so much that needed to be signed. Thankfully, she managed to finish everything.
After that, she dropped by the lab to take a look at how they were doing.
April was for research purposes, but now they were entering the serious mode.
The lab was currently being managed by Nancy, who had passed her previous projects to Garnet.
"How is it?" Diamond asked as she walked around the lab floor where most of the research was done.
"There is progress. They have managed to find some substitutes for some of the herbs needed to make the cream. This week they should be done with the final test. As long as the results come out positive, we can start production as soon as possible."
Diamond nodded heavily when she heard that a smile on her face. Very happy that finally, it was about to happen.
"And the factory?"
"All parts were replaced and it can start production at any time. Talking about factories, I was contacted by another person who is about to close but the factory was mainly used for making beverages and the like. Are you interested in making the purchase?"
When Diamond heard that, she stopped in her tracks, her eyes sparkling with interest regarding the news she just heard.
"How is it?" she asked interestedly and Nancy answered truthfully, a bit excited at knowing that this tip might work pretty well.
"I haven’t checked it yet since I was busy. I was planning on sitting either tomorrow or the next day, but from what I have found, the factory belonged to that beverage named Isis. They were making water and fizz drinks."
Diamond’s eyes widened in realization as she recognized the brand. It’s been ages since she saw it anywhere, or was it because she was now drinking expensive drinks and not the cheap ones? Anyway, regardless of what was happening, as long as she could acquire the factory, then another future problem of hers would be solved.
"Then go and check it out for me. If the place is good, then negotiate. Money is not a problem. We need that factory. I have a few beverage recipes," Diamond told Nancy, her tone very solemn.
When Nancy heard that there were more recipes, she was giddy inside and couldn’t help but look forward to the lab she was in charge of at the moment to prosper. She had been worried sick about how the lab only had one product to rely on. But with more products to be produced, her heart was finally at ease.
The two of them discussed other important things before it was time to part.
Diamond was tired and took the rest of the work back home.
When she was there, she sat in the study where she went through file after file, busy with work.
"So, here is to mothers near or far,
Whose endless giving knows no cease ...."
In the middle of doing so, her phone started ringing, her ringing tone being ODE TO MOTHERS.
"Who is calling?" she grumbled as she massaged her throbbing temples, feeling a bit lazy to drag the phone from where it was to her side.
{Mother, it’s Gael calling!} Luckily Andrea came to the rescue.
A smile appeared on her face when she heard that. She couldn’t help but recall that he was supposed to arrive today in Athary. Could it be that he already arrived or what?
"Answer it and put it on speaker," Diamond instructed Andrea as she flipped another page.
{Right away, mother!}
And the next moment, Diamond’s melodious voice sounded in the room as she teasingly greeted Gael, "hello dear!"
And the young man’s panting greeted her, which made the corner of her lips curl upwards.
’How cute!’
[Um ... hey Dee!]
"Did you travel safely? Are you at the airport or home?" she asked curiously as she closed the file, feeling a bit distracted by the white pages.
[Hehe, I just arrived home a moment ago. Planning to take a rest now.]
Diamond smiled knowingly. The time zones and jet lags can be a problem.
"That’s good if you have arrived safely. You need that rest, you know!"
[Um. Before I rest, I wanted to report to you and tell you that I arrived!]
A smile blossomed on her face when she heard that. She was grinning ear to ear.
"I am honored that you thought of me."
[You know that I can never forget about you. Anyway, before I hang up. I wanna make an appointment.]
Diamond’s brows rose in amusement when she heard that.
"Oh! You planning on coming to see me?"
[Um. I promised and I really want to see you that badly.]
"Then come and see me. What are you waiting for?" she coyly responded, her tone full of teasing. She didn’t know that she had made Gael, who was lying on his bed, flush.
[I will come. I just want to know when you are free.]
Diamond smiled as she thought about how clever she was to keep these two weeks open in case Gael came to see her.
"I am free. Which day seems fine with you?" she asked freely.
Since she didn’t have much planned for the two weeks, she might as well accommodate Gael instead.
There was some silence on the other side for some time before he responded, "How about I come on the 7th? I want to spend at most three days that side if you don’t mind," his voice lowered at the end of the sentence.
Diamond’s smile widened when she heard that. Three days were considered a lot and a lot could happen during that time.
"Sure. You can come then. And if you don’t mind, you can stay at my place. Have a few empty rooms," she coyly suggested a calculative glint in her eyes.
Since she already decided to make Gael hers, why bother letting him stay at a hotel and travel so many hours just to see each other?
Moreover, with her crazy popularity, Gael would be ousted in public, making it impossible for her to enjoy peace. Besides, she still prefers her lovers to remain mysterious to the public unless it’s really necessary.
Nolan and Wyatt were a mistake. It’s too bad that she can’t rewind the time, but either way, whatever happens in the future, she would just deal with it.
But for Gael, she wasn’t going to let anyone see him just yet.
[I .... Um, is it okay for me to stay at your place?] Gael asked cautiously and she could tell that he had some concerns and she had an inkling about what kind.
"I am an adult. If you don’t want to, then you can stay at a hotel. But let me tell you. To get to the hotel you will drive at most three hours from my place. So, you choose!" she angrily said, while rolling her eyes at how complicated Gael was trying to make things.
[Oh .... Haha. This ..... I will come over to your place then.] he shyly chuckled as he agreed and Diamond showed a triumph smirk before asking him some silly questions which he truthfully answered.
After a while, Gael was drowsily speaking, which forced Diamond to step on the brakes and allowed the young man to have his break.
With the appointment made, Diamond happily continued with her work while she looked forward to the meeting that awaits her in the future.
’It’s going to be fun!’
