Chapter 54: [Count Vilas!]

Following Christine, Noah walked through the mansion, observing the exquisite paintings, flower vases and the artifacts that were placed on the wall.

The entire area was brightly lit giving a heavenly feeling off it, while Noah walked by it, mesmerized a little.

Workers and maids took a glance at the duo before bowing and then returning to their own work. While Noah politely bowed back making them chuckle a little in between.

Christine saw that but didn’t speak anything as she simply walked to the east side of the mansion and reached the second last room, one with a large green door.

-Knock! Knock!

"Dad! It’s me!"(Christine)

The door automatically opened up as both Noah and Christine entered into the office like where an aged green haired man was writing something.

A document, perhaps?

On the table there was a silver nameplate that read [Count Vilas Estarte De Reiga]

"Chris. What brings you here?"(Vilas)

She then passed the request document to the Count before he began reading it, and then realising what it was, he looked at Noah again, this time with a slight surprised look.

"Aren’t you a bit too young to be an elder priest? Or perhaps a professor?"(Vilas)

Count Vilas probably didn’t knew the special privilege that Noah had and looking at the situation, it seemed like the best time to reveal that either.

"Maybe?"(Noah)

So a vague answer would suffice for now.

Noah moved closer to Count before asking for permission.

"Can I check up on your health?"(Noah)

"Well. Yes. That is your job, isn’t it?"(Vilas)

Noah didn’t speak anything and maintained a poker face before taking the hand of the Count. Then checking the pulse for a dozen seconds along with the mana signature present in it, he passed it all to Elios.

And Elios then analyzed everything within moments as he checked the traces of mana, their shifting positions, the irregularities. Even the non-magic components were checked using the pulse within moments.

Since Noah had dealt with assasination methods in quite a bit of depth, he too knew an unnecessary amount of medical knowledge. And thus he passed his own analysis to Elios with which he could finalise the diagnosis.

20 seconds later, Noah left the Count’s hand before repeating the things that Elios had collected through the analysis.

"You are feeling lethargic these days. At night time, your breath gets heavier and the more you sleep the more you get tired. There is a chance that you feel leg pain that causes disturbances during sleep? Hmmm... got everything, right?"(Noah)

The Count who was watching curiously had his eyes open wide as he looked at Noah.

Not just him, but Christine too was amazed at how fast he was able to pinpoint the disease he was suffering from.

Though it was pretty easy for Elios since he had been dealing with Noah’s body all day long. He devised many ways to check up on Noah’s condition with a few seconds pulse, and provide the right nutrition for his proper growth. Thus, repeating the same thing on another person was pretty easy... especially someone like Count Vilas who was barely suffering from dehydration.

Yup.

It was just dehydration accompanied with less eating frequency.

Though telling a man worried for his health that all you need to do is eat and drink won’t exactly be what he wants to hear.

"I can cure you instantly since it’s something I am familiar with. But there will be slight side effects of the cure. You will feel more thirsty and hungry than usual. Will that be all right?"(Noah)

"Will... that really be all?"(Count Vilas)

Noah nodded before pressing his hand on the Count’s body and casting a simple [Heal] on him.

[You have used 10 Karma to create a litre of stimulating electrolyte glucose water!]

Creating water within his body, near his stomach and intestine was enough to restore his energy. The extra nutrients in the water will provide with sudden relief and energy allowing him to function at peak for a day or two. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

Elios also added a few stimulants in it so that the Count will feel more thirsty and hungry than usual so that he can eat and drink a lot, restoring his health back to normal without any external means.

"This... feels good."(Count Vilas)

Seeing the Count ’healed’ up, Noah waited for the Karma message but alas it did not come. Noah sighed on the inside as he pondered if he should continue running after money with these high end quests.

And then pondering about it, he decided to experiment with it since it was just 10 Gold coins.

"I will be leaving now."(Noah)

He decided to leave without taking anything at all.

Was it going to give him any Karma? He did not know. But it was worth checking out.

"Ah! Please wait! Have something to eat with us. It’s almost lunch time for us."(Count Vilas)

"Apologies. I still have people to heal."(Noah)

Noah respectfully bowed before leaving from there, waiting for the Karma message to pop out.

"That’s a bit regretful. Though, at least take the 10 gold coins as per the contract."(Count Vilas)

Noah raised his hand as he spoke.

"I did it because it’s something that I have to do. Give it to charity if you care so much about it."(Noah)

And then walked from there leaving the father-daughter duo a bit dumbfounded at his words.

[You have done a selfless deed! You rejected a high amount of money because it was against your principles to do so! +200 Karma!]

’It wasn’t that grand or anything...’(Noah)

Noah mumbled under his silent breath as he walked away from the mansion, back towards the normal average houses, helping more people as he earned Karma from all the places he could.

Meanwhile the Count Vilas and her daughter were unable to forget about his certain priest that left such a strong impression on them.

And at the dinner table that night...

"Chris. You said that Elios is an assistant professor at the university, right? Can you do your father a favour?"(Count Vilas)

"Yes, Father!"(Christine)

A small spark.

This time among the nobles.

’The Ideal Healer’

And another name that would cringe Noah later...
