Shoujo Hater-Chapter 64 - 59: Isphyrlya’s Awakening
"Fuck off?"
"This isn't fair."
"This is total fucking plot armor."
"Damn it. If I try to use the other poisonous serpent inside her, she'll completely crush it with her energy. I'll waste my only opportunity."
Lin clenched his dagger tightly and poured a massive amount of mana into it, releasing a huge black slash toward Isphyrlya.
But the aura around Isphyrlya surged violently, forming three walls of ice that shattered his attack.
Before Lin could even think of another move, Isphyrlya, boosted by her power, drove a heavy punch into his stomach. His body flew backward, smashing through five trees as blood poured from his mouth.
"Damn it."
"That's a cliff. If I fall, I'm dead."
Moving purely on instinct, Lin twisted his body to counter the momentum of Isphyrlya's punch. His legs carved deep lines into the snow as he slid backward, barely stopping himself.
He managed to halt the attack just in time. Another step and he would have fallen. He was already at the edge.
"One leg forward. One leg back."
He didn't have enough time to throw his dagger into a tree. Even then, the chance of success was barely seventy percent.
"Phew."
Lin took a deep breath, successfully regaining control of his body without falling.
But the relief was short lived.
Isphyrlya was already forming a massive sphere of compressed snow and mana.
It was aimed at the ground.
"Damn it."
Lin poured mana into his legs and exploded forward with a powerful leap, landing in the open field.
He began running in a wide circle at extreme speed, trying to understand the nature of the attack. Either he would be forced off the cliff, which was exactly what Isphyrlya wanted, or he would minimize the damage.
The snowy sphere slammed into the ground.
Massive ice spikes erupted everywhere, appearing at random.
Lin activated his evolved blue eyes and twisted his body midair, but several spikes pierced his upper body from both front and back, drawing blood.
"Haaa… Haaa…"
Lin gasped heavily. If he hadn't reacted the way he did, he would already be dead.
Isphyrlya's smile widened.
"You rat. I'm going to kill you. I'll make you regret the day you were born."
"You should have run when you had the chance."
"You should know better than to fight someone in their own environment."
At this point, not only Lin had evolved. Isphyrlya had also broken through her limits and awakened new techniques.
She descended slowly and began chanting one of her newly created spells.
As her hand touched the ground, the chant activated through her blessing.
"From the Snowy Queen of Nivara, I call upon the land to protect its rightful ruler."
More than fifty golems formed from ice and snow, charging toward Lin.
This was Isphyrlya's first time summoning golems. Even so, they were not elite summons. They could only follow a single command from her until her summoning technique evolved further.
The technique consumed fifty percent of her mana and fifty percent of the surrounding environment. It could only be used in snowy terrain, and it could not be activated twice.
Even so, despite the enormous cost, it was very useful.
"Pfffffffff."
"This is worse than playing a Souls game with a busted mouse and a half-dead keyboard."
"Am I the only MC who gets transported to another world and immediately starts fighting bosses like the Nameless King from Dark Souls III?"
At that moment, Lin's face twisted with pure hatred. He looked like a mad dog ready to snap.
"If that golden hair woman is the one writing this shitty script, then believe me, this won't end with me simply killing her.
It will turn into something far worse.
"I am gonna demolish the shit out of her and her mother."
"And I will feed her family to dogs."
Without hesitation, Lin charged forward like a madman.
He leapt from point to point, wrapping his blue mana Threads tightly around nearby trees. As the fifty golems rushed him, Lin jumped onto the first one and extended thin blue mana threads that linked all of them together.
The low-intelligence golems followed the mana flow without any resistance.
Lin slammed his foot into the ground and sprinted toward Isphyrlya, dragging the entire swarm with him.
He tightened his blue mana. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
Then he launched himself at her.
Isphyrlya moved to intercept.
Lin kicked up snow, blasting it into her already damaged eyes. In the same instant, he bound her with a compressed blue mana thread, then deactivated his blue eyes and severed the rope with his dagger, flooding the area with black mana.
As Isphyrlya prepared to strike, the fifty golems turned on her from every direction.
They attacked relentlessly.
"What did you do, you rat?"
"I took control of your golems."
Lin's plan was simple. By using his dual natural mana, blue and black, he would manipulate the golems into fighting each other. Once he changed the color of his energy core, they would only track the last trait of the first order, so they treated everything that contained his blue mana as an enemy. He knew that this was her first time using them, because if she had known before, she would have already been able to use them in their past fight.
That's why the golems attacked Isphyrlya.
After five minutes of chaos, some golems exploded while others were destroyed by Isphyrlya's destructive punches.
She unleashed a massive area attack, freezing everything in range, then shattered the remaining golems with a single strike.
During that time, Lin used the opening to recover. His internal bleeding stabilized, and his breathing calmed.
His regeneration was faster than normal. His serpent abilities had evolved, and he had already digested part of Isphyrlya's heart.
That was the key that allowed him to survive this hellish situation.
Now, all that remained was to trap Isphyrlya in a confined space.
Only then would Lin gain the advantage.
