I raised a brow to look at her after hearing this, but eventually I gave a simple nod in response.
Solista didn't hesitate as she went into her story.

"Cliched, this is just too much of a cliche story."
That was the only thing that I could think of, but I didn't say it out loud.
Though with the awkward silence that followed, I could already guess that the gods had listened to my thoughts.
I kept forgetting that the gods had the ability to read minds…
With an awkward cough, I said, "Then you're saying that I'm the chosen one to lead the battle against the forces of Destruction. That's what the corruption energy is, right?"

"You're the one that put me in this situation?" I immediately picked up on what she said.
As soon as I said this, it might have been an illusion, but I saw that Solista seemed to have trembled.
It was almost as if she was a child that had her hand caught in the cookie jar.
