Shocked! The Young Master's Petite Darling Is a Master of Mysteries-Chapter 217: Blunder
Qin Ru turned over and got out of bed, taking advantage of the night to go outside. Standing at the doorway, she bent down and lit the Communication Incense used by the Heavenly Maiden Clan.
The incense mist swirled, disappearing straight into the clouded sky under the moonlight.
Shortly after Qin Ru lit the Communication Incense, a faint sound of wind slicing through the air was heard.
Two graceful figures in black gauze skirts slowly emerged from the darkness.
"Third Miss has summoned us, what are your orders?" One of them, a woman with a slightly fuller figure, bowed and asked.
Qin Ru squinted slightly, "I want you to help me kill two people."
The fuller-figured woman slowly raised her head, "Third Miss, please tell me!"
Qin Ru squinted her eyes, and with a gentle motion of her finger in the void, the images of Xia Mian and Song Juan appeared in the air, "These two, I don’t want to see them anymore tomorrow!"
The two women in black skirts exchanged glances and spoke in unison, "Alright!"
With that one word, they turned around and vanished into the night.
Qin Ru stood outside the door, looking up at tonight’s moon, large and round.
Hopefully, tomorrow when she opens her eyes, she’ll never see those two annoying people again!
Returning to her room, Qin Ru found it impossible to fall asleep.
Xia Weiyang lay next to her, watching her toss and turn, knowing in her heart that Qin Ru was worried about whether the two members of the Heavenly Maiden Clan could succeed.
"Mom, don’t worry!" Xia Weiyang comforted, "Those two aunts are veterans of the Heavenly Maiden Clan; there’s nothing they can’t accomplish!"
Perhaps Xia Weiyang’s comforting words had some effect, as Qin Ru’s heart felt a bit more assured, and she gradually closed her eyes.
Outside, the wind whispered softly, while inside, it was serene.
After parting with Qin Ru, the two shadows split up and headed separately towards Xia Mian and Song Juan.
The one seeking Song Juan was named Xu Ma, a confidante of the elder of the Heavenly Maiden Clan.
The one seeking Xia Mian was named Ye Ge, also a confidante of the elder of the Heavenly Maiden Clan.
Both grew up in the Heavenly Maiden Clan, sheltered and taught by the clan, spending their lives striving for its glory.
The task Qin Ru assigned them tonight was somewhat sudden, but adhering to the principle that a good servant solves their master’s troubles, they chose to help Qin Ru kill without second-guessing.
Xu Ma and Ye Ge were quite capable individuals and quickly figured out where Song Juan and Xia Mian were staying.
Ye Ge found it rather straightforward; after all, she considered Xia Mian and Lu Zechuan to be mere ordinary people intruding into the Divine Clan’s world.
Xu Ma, however, faced some difficulty, because Song Juan was staying at Bishui Residence tonight!
Everyone in the Divine Clan knew that Bishui Residence was the dwelling of the clan’s former Young Master, Xia Zhun. Although he was called the former Young Master, Divine Master Xia Liang had only one heir, and ultimately, the position would be his. Offending Xia Zhun meant she could never thrive in the Divine Clan again!
Xu Ma felt troubled, but recalling Qin Ru’s conflicted and resentful face motivated herself.
She was dispatched by the elder to assist the young lady in resolving her concerns. The young lady had married into the Divine Clan for so many years without asking her to do anything; tonight she finally had a task to do, and she must not mess it up!
With this thought, Xu Ma looked up at Bishui Residence again, her gaze becoming resolute.
Bishui Residence’s occupant spent nine out of ten days in a drowsy state, the only trouble was his Hidden Guard.
Xu Ma crouched in the shadow of the corridor, calculating in her mind how to divert Xia Zhun’s Hidden Guard, Ah Mu.
She was so focused on her plan that she didn’t notice Ah Mu was watching her with interest from a pillar above.
Ah Mu was familiar with Xu Ma since she had entered the Divine Clan with Qin Ru.
Ah Mu’s lips held a slight smile; their opportunistic mistress was indeed reckless, disregarding the situation, and yet still courting disaster!
Ah Mu’s dark eyes flashed, and he lowered his gaze to Xu Ma.
The master’s romantic path had been arduous, and tonight, he finally reunited with the mistress. He couldn’t let this fool disturb the master!
Having made up his mind, Ah Mu gently moved his fingers.
With Ah Mu’s subtle gesture, the space around Xu Ma swirled, and unnoticed by her, he set up a barrier.
As long as this barrier was in place, Xu Ma would have to spend the night stuck in that tiny spot!
Ah Mu smiled with satisfaction, laying on the beam with his legs crossed, feeling very accomplished.
Xu Ma, crouched in the shadow, suddenly felt a shock and tried to move, only to find herself immobilized!
Xu Ma paused, quickly realizing she was caught by Ah Mu.
Xu Ma wasn’t worried but deliberately showed an anxious expression. She had wondered where Ah Mu was hiding, now he approached her voluntarily, saving her a lot of trouble!
Ah Mu watched Xu Ma’s fretting within the confined space, smiling lazily up at the moon, about to doze.
Convinced that Xu Ma couldn’t break through his barrier, Ah Mu’s legs rocked until he fell asleep on the beam.
Xu Ma feigned desperation in the confined space for a while until her ears caught Ah Mu’s stable breathing. Her lips curled subtly, revealing a smile of successful scheming.
She then bit her finger and motioned in the void, causing the space binding her to distort, allowing her to step out effortlessly.
Once out, she looked up at the beam above her and casually set a barrier on Ah Mu as well.
"Sleep well!" Xu Ma chuckled softly, her figure darting quickly.
Due to her play with Ah Mu, she had delayed quite a bit, and now the sky was beginning to lighten.
If she couldn’t resolve Song Juan before dawn, it would be difficult to explain to the Third Miss.
Xu Ma crept quietly towards Bishui Residence and jumped through an open window.
The room was silent, silent enough to hear a pin drop.
The air carried a faint scent of fresh pine, and the breeze stirred the curtains, vaguely revealing two people lying on the bed.
Xu Ma gathered her focus, not daring to relax for a moment, advancing step by step towards the bed.
The bed’s occupants were still, and Xu Ma secretly prayed, hoping this Young Master of the Divine Clan was indeed in a drowsy state, otherwise, given his abilities, he could easily make her disappear without a trace!
Closer, closer, ever closer. Xu Ma could now see the people on the bed clearly.
In Xia Zhun’s arms lay a woman, seemingly in her forties, whose looks were above average. Even lying beside Xia Zhun, she didn’t appear inferior.
Xia Zhun’s eyes were closed, his breathing steady, apparently asleep.
The woman was even more so, nestled in Xia Zhun’s arms, seemingly in the midst of a beautiful dream.
Xu Ma slowly extended her hand towards Song Juan’s neck, "Don’t blame me; blame your own misfortune!"
