Chapter 847: Chapter 847: Miss Forrest Is Quinn Thorne’s Weakness (1)

Bang...

Looking at her son’s animated expression, Raina North finally couldn’t bear it anymore and slapped the back of his head: "Casper North, you better shut up, you little...! If I had known you’d turn out like this, I would’ve smacked you three times a day. I refuse to believe I can’t get you straightened out!"

"Uh..."

Casper wanted to argue a bit more, but when he looked up, he saw Raina’s reddened eyes.

This was the second time he saw his mom show such deep emotion. The first time, it was to detoxify Baby, and he, along with Dad, pretended to be injured to push her to break through her mental barriers.

This was the second time.

Seeing Raina’s tears fall, Casper suddenly felt cowed and hung his head in dejection, finally starting to regret.

He suddenly understood why Mom was so angry; it was because she was worried about them.

Casper cautiously looked at Raina: "Mom, it’s my fault, I messed up. Can you forgive me?"

He looked up at Raina with earnest eyes, finally realizing he’d made a big, big mistake. He shouldn’t have shown off, stolen Uncle Quinn’s phone, or drugged him.

Ever since they sneaked into The Sanctuary, up until they met Mom, his heart had been hanging by a thread.

He was constantly worried and scared that Baby Hawthorne wouldn’t make it halfway.

He was even more afraid that he himself wouldn’t make it.

He was the best among the three of them, and if even he couldn’t hold on, there’d be no hope for Shea and Baby Hawthorne.

Especially during those days in the kidnappers’ hands, they’d talk daily about selling them off, and what they’d do with the money they got from it.

And, Shea, being a young girl, was their main target.

Casper shivered, allowing the fear to wash over him, and he struggled to crawl to Raina, clutching at her leg tightly, crying and apologizing: "Mom, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m the idiot, it’s my fault. I shouldn’t have done it, shouldn’t have gambled with my and Baby’s and Shea’s lives. I promise I won’t do it again. Mom, if you’re mad, just hit me."

Casper closed his eyes, raised his neck, and prepared for a beating.

"You think I wouldn’t?" Raina said, smacking Casper’s forehead: "Casper North, you need to know that in this family, anybody who does something wrong has to own up to it!"

Her words were harsh, but seeing Casper soaked through, shaking uncontrollably, Raina simply couldn’t bring herself to do it.

Raina was livid.

Angry at Casper, and angry at herself.

She gritted her teeth and shouted at Casper: "Casper North, listen up—if you end up killing yourself, I’ll go have your dad have kids number four, five, six, and seven, and move on with life happily. As for you lot, I’ll forget all about you for the rest of my life as if you never existed. I mean it, do you hear me?"

Shea and Baby Hawthorne quickly agreed earnestly: "Heard it, heard it."

"Casper North?"

"Heard it, heard it, Mom, I promise I won’t dare again, I truly realize my mistake."

Afterward, Casper rolled his eyes and collapsed to the ground, already unconscious.

Raina was startled and immediately bent down to hold him.

"Let me." Mm-hmm, you walked over and bent down to pick Casper up.

Raina didn’t refuse. She first checked Casper’s condition, determined he had only fainted from exhaustion, and then finally let out a sigh of relief. She said to Elias Hawthorne: "You take him upstairs for a hot bath, I’ll get some medicine ready."
