She Has Three Little Treasures: Fake Heiress, Yet Captures The Tycoon's Heart-Chapter 843: What If She Dies? (Part 1)
But Quinn, in his anger, didn’t notice. Like a gust of wind, he left quickly. Damn it, he must handle these messy affairs as fast as possible and then rush back to Anya’s side.
Dante noticed it, looking at Quinn’s quickly departing back and couldn’t help but ask, "Is there some issue between Lord Vermilion and Miss Forrest?"
Elias Hawthorne glanced over coolly, "Why do you ask?"
"Because your expression towards Lord Vermilion shows sympathy."
"You’re quite perceptive." Thinking of those messy affairs, Elias couldn’t help rubbing his sore brow.
Dante couldn’t help asking, "Should we remind Lord Vermilion? It might help him prepare."
Elias couldn’t help but recall the closeness between Raina North and Anya Forrest, and how she couldn’t control her anger and fury every time she saw Quinn, which ultimately interrupted such plans.
"Ultimately, this is Lord Vermilion’s private matter, so we shouldn’t meddle."
Dante initially wanted to say that even if it was a private matter, Quinn wouldn’t mind the Lord giving him a bit of a heads-up, but when he saw the helplessness in Elias’s eyes, he ultimately kept his mouth shut.
...
Claire Lowell left The Hall of Penance and went straight to The Raines Family home to look for Ragnar Raines.
Butler Fulham blocked her again: "I’m sorry, Miss Lowell, Mr. Raines is not here."
"Trying to deceive me again? You think I’ll believe that? It’s definitely you servants up to tricks again!"
"Miss Lowell, we wouldn’t dare."
"It seems you dare plenty. Get out of my way!" Claire Lowell pushed Butler Fulham aside and forced her way in, shouting, "Uncle! Uncle!"
Claire Lowell made a scene for a long time, but no matter how she fussed, no matter how she stirred up the Raines Family residence, Ragnar Raines was nowhere to be seen.
Only then did Claire Lowell turn to Butler Fulham and ask, "Is my uncle really not here?"
Butler Fulham nodded quickly, "I wouldn’t dare deceive Miss Lowell."
Claire Lowell frowned, "Where did my uncle go? When will he be back?"
Butler Fulham looked at Claire Lowell with a hint of surprise, then couldn’t help but say, "Tomorrow is Madam’s death anniversary. Mr. Raines went to visit her grave and spend time with her."
Claire Lowell frowned and muttered angrily, "She’s been dead for so many years, probably already reincarnated. What’s the point? And anyway, what can a dead person have that’s more important than my matters?"
Butler Fulham was utterly shocked, unable to imagine hearing such words from Claire Lowell. If not for Claire’s unchanged appearance, he would have no way of linking this woman in front of him with the adorable Miss Lowell that Mr. Raines always spoke of.
Seeing Butler Fulham’s constant look of surprise towards her, Claire Lowell, somewhat guiltily, coldly warned, "Don’t you dare speak nonsense in front of my uncle, or I’ll make you regret it."
Recalling the trouble Claire Lowell had caused in the past, Butler Fulham hurriedly said he wouldn’t dare.
Seeing that Butler Fulham wasn’t lying, Claire Lowell snorted before leaving, her high heels clacking aggressively.
Upon Claire Lowell’s return to The Lowell Family, a servant came to report, "Miss Lowell, Elder Coleman has arrived."
Claire Lowell’s spirits lifted at these words, "I’ll be there immediately."
Uncle Coleman sat in the living room sipping tea. Upon hearing the hurried footsteps, he turned his head just in time to see Claire Lowell rushing over. Her frantic urgency elicited a slight smile from Uncle Coleman.
He chuckled and said, "Miss Lowell, no need to hurry. Uncle Coleman won’t disappear; be careful not to trip."
