She Asks for a Divorce Again-Chapter 432: Sincere Affection
Chapter 432: Chapter 432: Sincere Affection
Zhao Jin saw the state Shen Heyu was in and, with a heart that couldn’t bear it, stepped forward, "Madam, we’re going to take the president to the hospital right now, he will definitely be safe and sound." frёeweɓηovel_coɱ
Shen Heyu looked up at Chen Wenzhou, her eyes brimming with tears yet exceptionally determined, she nodded at him.
Then everything before her eyes turned black, and she fainted. When she woke up, she smelled the disinfectant of the hospital.
She threw back the covers and got out of bed, only to find Zhao Jin had been standing guard at the door of her hospital room.
"Where’s Pei Yansi? Why don’t I see him? He’s not in any trouble, is he?" Shen Heyu anxiously inquired about Pei Yansi’s condition.
Zhao Jin looked worriedly at Shen Heyu and said the doctor mentioned she had fainted because she had suffered a huge shock, and all she needed was to rest well.
"Why aren’t you speaking? You tell me right now, is Pei Yansi okay or not? I want to see him right now." Shen Heyu looked at Zhao Jin with an anxiousness that was like silent fire burning in her heart.
Zhao Jin tried to calm Shen Heyu’s agitated emotions, "Madam, don’t worry, the president’s surgery just finished, he is now resting in the hospital room. The doctor said the wound was too deep, and the president has fallen into unconsciousness, and it cannot be determined when he will wake up."
"You’re saying he’s still not out of danger?" Shen Heyu staggered.
Seeing Shen Heyu about to lose her balance, Zhao Jin instinctively reached out to support her, but Shen Heyu weakly pushed him away.
"The doctor did say that, but madam, please don’t worry. Our president is blessed by heaven and will surely turn danger into safety," Chen Wenzhou also knew his words were very weak and could only serve as consolation.
"Where is he? I want to see Pei Yansi."
Zhao Jin led the way for Shen Heyu and pushed open the hospital room door. When Shen Heyu saw the man lying on the bed with his pale face, it was like she had been struck by a bolt from the blue.
Shen Heyu’s pupils dimmed, and she moved step by step toward the hospital bed.
With his eyes closed, Pei Yansi looked handsome and noble, his features well-defined as if carefully carved, but his face now revealed a sickly pallor that involuntarily tugged at one’s heartstrings.
"Madam, you must take good care of yourself," Zhao Jin said, unable to hide his concern, as Shen Heyu sat down beside the bed, bowing her head to gaze at Pei Yansi’s long, attractive hands.
She slowly took Pei Yansi’s hand, cradling it in her own, her cheek naturally resting against the back of his hand, feeling his warmth.
Seeing this, Zhao Jin bowed his head and silently exited the hospital room after a moment, closing the door behind him.
Shen Heyu blinked, her long, curling eyelashes dampened by tears, a hot tear rolling down and landing on the back of Pei Yansi’s hand. Pei Yansi’s fingers slightly moved, but Shen Heyu did not notice.
"Pei Yansi, I’m sorry," Shen Heyu called out his name with a hoarse voice.
"Do you realize how foolish you’ve been? You actually took the kidnapper’s words to heart and thrust that knife into your own stomach," Shen Heyu said with a bitter smile, as more tears continuously fell from the corners of her eyes.
"All this time, you’ve only bound me to your side according to your own desires. Those angry words I said to you before, they were spoken in an irrational moment, but they were also my true feelings."
"In the past, it was always only about how you felt, keeping me bound to your side because it made you happy, nothing more, but you never really asked if I wanted to stay by your side."
"Since you never truly asked about my wishes deep down, the moment the opportunity to leave you presented itself, I seized it without hesitation."
Pei Yansi was still in an unconscious state at this time, but upon hearing Shen Heyu’s words, he subconsciously furrowed his brow.
Shen Heyu raised a hand, gently caressing Pei Yansi’s brows and eyes, trying to smooth out the furrows on his forehead.
"I know you don’t want to hear this, but I still said it myself. Even if this time you’re using Lu Yi to blackmail me into staying by your side, I do it against my will."
"I always thought you just saw me as a toy, not wanting anyone else to touch me out of possessiveness. But I didn’t expect you to be willing to sacrifice your life for me."
"After we parted, I was always blaming you, never considering my own feelings, never looking at the problem from my perspective."
"But haven’t I done the same? It seems I’ve never considered things from your position either," said Shen Heyu, pulling at the corners of her mouth, wanting to smile but unable to.
"You saved my life this time. How can I ever repay this debt? You wouldn’t be thinking of using this opportunity to tie me down to your side again, would you?" Shen Heyu’s eyes filled with emotion as she looked at Pei Yansi lying on the bed.
If Pei Yansi were to make the same request as before, Shen Heyu might be willing to stay by his side for a while.
"Pei Yansi, back at the abandoned warehouse, didn’t you ask me a question? You asked if I actually still liked you, right?"
A faint smile appeared on Shen Heyu’s face. "Now, I’ll tell you the answer: you are in my heart."
The door creaked open.
The door to the hospital room was pushed open, and Shen Heyu immediately turned around, on guard. She saw Chen Lingmeng, sitting in a wheelchair with a serious and gloomy expression.
Chen Lingmeng had overheard Shen Heyu’s heartfelt confession. She said with a mix of mockery and sarcasm, "How touching. Even an outsider like me is moved by your deep confession. Brother Yansi and I are about to get engaged, and now here you are, trying to disturb his thoughts?"
Shen Heyu hastily let go of Pei Yansi’s hand, standing up to see two more hostile faces looking just like Chen Lingmeng’s from behind the wheelchair.
Grandpa Chen and Chen Wenzhou had also arrived, their faces showing that expression because they had heard what Shen Heyu just said.
"Shen Heyu, we have some things to properly discuss with you. Come along," Grandpa Chen said with an unhappy face, while Chen Wenzhou pushed Chen Lingmeng’s wheelchair towards the adjacent resting room.
All the emotions that surged in her heart were suppressed. Shen Heyu knew that nothing good could come from this trip to the resting room.
Still, Shen Heyu tried to remain calm and stepped into the resting room next door.
With a bang,
No sooner had she entered than Chen Wenzhou closed the door without hesitation, keeping their conversation private from outsiders.
"What exactly did you mean by what you said in Brother Yan Si’s hospital room just now!"
Chen Lingmeng showed her true colors, eyes full of jealousy and hate as she stared at Shen Heyu, grabbing a cup from nearby and throwing it fiercely to the floor beside Shen Heyu.
The cup shattered, fragments slashed across Shen Heyu’s hand, and blood began to seep out.
"Haven’t you heard already? Why ask me?"
