Shattering Humanity-Chapter 78: "We’ve Had A Long Ass Day."

The buzzing of the tattoo gun in Daisuki’s hand is heard and then it stops. Daisuki backs away and reveals Saku with his eyes closed with the same broken heart tattoo as the rest of the group, but instead of his hand, it’s next to his left IceEye on the temple of his face.

As Saku opens his heterochromia, the tattoo immediately begins to scab and then the inked scabbing falls off. Itsuka gives him her make-up mirror and Saku looks at the fully healed face marking.

Saku: "I gotta give ya credit D, your line work is perfect. I would’ve went with something bigger but it’s a start."

Daisuki: "Nope, that’s the one and only tattoo on your face you get, at least from me, and Aiden isn’t willing to tattoo anyone’s face." 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

Saku gets angry and looks at Aiden. The young timid tattoo artist looks away and Saku looks back at his mentor.

Saku: "Why not!? If I wanna get more face tats, it’s up to me! And by the way, you’re not my Pops, you can’t dictate what I can and can’t do "

Shelly looks at Itsuka who has also seen Saku at his "most kindest", they both sigh.

Shelly: "Guess that ’gentleman’ attitude didn’t last long."

Itsuka looks from Shelly to Saku. She thinks about something for a moment and then looks at Daisuki.

Itsuka: "Mr. Daisuki, if you’re willing to, I’d also like the temple next to my IceEye as my tattoo placement."

Daisuki(nods): "That was what I was hoping you would be willing to do, Dear. Unlike this one with his ugly mug, you have such a beautiful face that I wouldn’t dare request to do such a thing. But if you’re up for it, I’d be honored to give you love birds your matching ’Moon’ placements."

Katsu(excited and loud) and Saku(confused): "’Moon Placements’?"

Daisuki holds up his tatted pointer finger as the teacher, teaches.

Daisuki: "So I caught you all up to speed with the finger and thumb placements, but it’s an amazing coincidence we both had the same idea but for separate reasons, Saku. Can one of my resident geniuses tell me what the connection might be?"

Everyone watches the silent battle of the minds between Shelly and Aiden deep in thought. Saku however, has his eyes closed, and is annoyed.

They both yell their answers at the same time.

Aiden: "It controls the ’tides’ and reflects the Sun’s light!"

Shelly: "The ’face’ of the moon noticeably changes and sometimes, it’s barely seen!"

The two most intelligent monsters of the group both get wide eyed and look at each other, than back at flabbergasted Daisuki, putting on fresh new gloves, for the answer, as well as the rest listening.

Saku is getting more angry while they talk about him.

Daisuki: "Wow. I was going to say ’it’s because the Moon is seen as the outlier and different’. Which both terms fit with either one from our #1 couple here. I was originally thinking of putting theirs on the ’Moon Mount’ but the palm is the worst spot to prevent a tattoo from fading. Thinking about it, Shelly, your theory was based off Saku’s ’face’ decision and Aiden, yours was from witnessing Saku ’turning the tides’ against that Iceman ambush in Son Goku City."

Saku finally snaps as he jumps up from the chair.

Saku: "So you’re all just gunna talk about me like I’m not in the room? Maybe I just wanted a face tat and all 3 of you pretentious ’Einsteins’ connected me differently to the moon’s characteristics based on the different variables you each know about me. I wasn’t here when the symbol was chosen, and if it actually was lame I wouldn’t have gotten it, but when I was younger and unable to get one, I thought about what I would one day get tattooed. Why should YOU be telling me what I should be doing with MY body?"

Itsuka walks over to the chair and EyeEngages with an angry Saku.

Saku: "Why?"

Itsuka: "He’s not telling you just because he’s trying to be controlling. Mr. Daisuki is saying it because the tattoos actually mean something, to everyone here. Once you start cluttering your face, it takes away the true meaning of these markings that will forever link us together until we die and decompose."

The irritated 18 year old visually calms down and they unlock IceEyes. Saku looks around at the others.

Dom: "She IS spittin’ facts Bro. That symbol looks clean!"

Scylia: "I think both the size, the placement, and the meaning is beautifully and tastefully ’poetic’. But envisioning your handsome face with more ink is just, inelegant and distasteful."

Shelly: "I don’t care what you do. I don’t understand why you’d want to change the face your mother gave you."

Sol: "What, you think you’re some shitty internet rapper now? Don’t make your face look like a public bathroom stall."

Finally Saku looks at a smiling Katsu and they lock alien eyes.

Katsu: "You’re right Saku. Daisuki may be our leader and mentor, but he’s not our dad. Although, Big Bro has been saying things I know my own father would be telling me, if he were still alive. I’m sure what Big Sis said is exactly the reasoning. I’m sure you can find other spots on your body that Aiden and Big Bro would be more than willing to work on."

They unlock eyes and both look at Daisuki. The man is smirking with his arms crossed and then sits up, and shrugs with his rubber gloved hands up.

Daisuki: "I never said you ’can’t’ get more. I thought you were enlightened enough to understand the concept of unnecessarily wanting ’more’ is a sign of toxicity. I just said it was the last one from me because, even if you do something along what Sol said and ’Detention Desk’ your face, as long as that broken heart is still visible and you don’t cover it up, it’ll still have meaning to me. But, I guess you all can easily figure me out by now."

Saku walks away from the chair and Itsuka sits in to replace him. Daisuki grabs the ink bottle, shakes it and squeezes the bottle over the plastic ink cup making it sputter the last of its contents.

Daisuki: "It sucks my clone didn’t grab more ink, but I guess it was a little over excited."

Itsuka smiles and leans back in the soft chair.

Daisuki: "You ready sweetheart?"

Itsuka closes her eyes and nods once. Daisuki leans over her and taps his foot on the pedal quickly making the needle of the pen in the ink cup BZZZZZZ!

Daisuki: "Alright! After we finish up, how about diner and bed? We’ve had a long ass day."
